    I wish to know if there is a way to download Windows 7 Home Premium OEM to a Notebook ThinkPad Y 570.
    (What I done before)
    I try ti recover the O.S. with One Key Recover and does not work.
    Then I downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium ISO installer and I format all the partitions of the notebook.
    But when I click to install Win7 a message saying that "windows cannot be installed on that partition" appears.
    Can I download a Windows 7 Home Premium OEM?

    Hi,
    There are Two options available.
    1.  You can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below - these will reinstall the operating system, all required drivers and nearly all of the original software ( the exception often being trials of MS Office ).  They will also re-create all the original partitions, including the Recovery Partition.  Activation of the OS will occur automatically.
    Order HP Recovery Discs.
    2.  Another option you could consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.
    Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
    An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
    You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the same version ( Basic, Premium, Professional etc ) that your activation key is for - ie you cannot upgrde or downgrade using this method ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  The Image source is Digital River.

    I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer.  I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

    I did not leave anything out from the error message.  It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..."  Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
    How do I repair this issue?  I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse.  I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

  • C4580 won't run wirelessly on driver downloaded for Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

    Got a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. c4580 not compatible with Windows 7. Working with HP Instant Care, downloaded Windows driver for c4500 series all-in-one printers.  Printer now works using USB cable but does not work wirelessly.  Techs from HP were to call me back within 48hrs (from 2/11). No callback. Still have open service ticket 8034746768 but have spent so many hrs on my cellphone with HP I have run way over my allowed minutes per month, about $80. worth.   Hesitate for that reason to call them again. Can anyone help?

    Does anyone have a stable Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit download link that works with Rufus or UUI because all of the stable download links I have found don't work with rufus or UUI and they have an iso extraction error message on rufus and UUI just ends.

    Bought a brand new laptop from an electronics store in Nov. 2010 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit pre-installed.
    All is well with being notified of all avail. MS updates and I am fully patched with all of them....except SP1. I have never been notified that sp1 was available to download and install.
    I have tried everything.
    Checked "winver" and no sp1 is not installed
    Downloaded SP1 from MS website which requires validation (passed validation of course) and tried running sp1 from desktop and get error "Directory name is invalid"
    Turned off A/V and Firewall ran again and same result. Burned and .iso of sp1 ran it, same result.
    Ran in safe mode..same thing
    Ran MS troubleshooter and updates are fine
    I have KB976902 installed
    Windows Update KB2454826 is installed
    Reset windows updates
    All drivers are current
    ran sfc/SCANNOW no errors found.
    Only language pack installed is English
    Pls help
