Download windows 8.1 with bing

hi guys!
I installed the windows 10 TP on my HP stream 7, but it didn't work...so I reinstalled the OS (windows 8.1) with a bootable usb because the rollback to the previous build didn't work, too.
can I reinstall the original version of windows 8.1 with bing? I've the product key, but it's invalid with windows 8.1!

It will work but this device is tested with Win8.1 W/BING ML 32  WIMBoot.

  • Windows 8.1 with Bing - Images partition

    Hello,
I have a HP Stream 11 installed with Windows 8.1 with BING.
Trying to free up disk space I have deleted the Recovery-partition, or what I thought was just a recovery partition. It actually has the name "images" and deleting it immediately broke my system.
I have tried to repair it using an UBUNTU Live CD and using the tool "TestDisk". After a reboot I get the message that there is no OS found on my hard disk. Trying to mount the volume in the UBUNTU environment also fails.
Does someone know how to repair this? I would be extremely thankful!!

    Thanks.
I have downloaded Windows 10 instead, and I am amazed!! Don't want to go back to 8.1 anymore now :p XD.

  • Windows 8.1 with Bing ISO

    Hi,
I need to replace Windows 8.1 with Bing x64 for the x86 version in order to use some old apps.
I tried to use mediacreationtool to download the setup, but it does not have the "with Bing" edition.
Where can I download the x86 ISO for this edition ?
    Thanks.

the "with Bing" edition is only available to OEM's. If you need installation media for an OEM version of Windows, you should contact your vendor/OEM/manufacturer

  • Windows 8.1 With Bing or Windows 8.1 Core To Pro Volume License?

If we buy laptops with Windows 8.1 With Bing or 8.1 Core, what is the path to get Windows 8.1 Pro volume licensing so we can join them to domains and create a common MDT deployment image?
Do we buy a Pro Pack license for each system and then use the Pro Pack upgrade to 8.1 Pro upgrade license for eligibility to purchase 8.1 Professional volume licensing or is there an easier path?

I'm going to try to restate the main parts of the question more clearly.
We are buying some laptops where the vendor does not offer a configuration choice of Windows 8.1 Pro.  Normally, we order laptops with Windows Professional preinstalled, but, for these specific models, since they are consumer-oriented laptops, you cannot
purchase this model with 8.1 Pro licensing from the vendor.  We will have to purchase them with 8.1 With Bing preloaded from the factory.
We will be using our own custom image of 8.1 Pro when we deploy the laptops to users.
Since Windows 8.1 With Bing and Windows 8.1 Core in general is not an eligible OS for purchasing volume licensed 8.1 Pro, we need to, somehow, get these systems licensed for 8.1 Pro before we can buy 8.1 Pro VL.
How can we do this?  Do we buy 8.1 Pro Packs ($99 each)?  Do we have to buy the full retail edition of 8.1 Pro for each laptop ($199 each) and use these for VL upgrade eligibility?  Can we purchase the 8.1 With Bing to 8.1 Pro upgrade directly
    through the Volume Licensing Program?
What is the best we to do this for cost per machine and for convenience implementing?

  • Windows 8.1 with bing : restrictions

You should be able to do local policies on these, but you would have to manage them as individual local policies.
They should also support Windows 10, and if you are feeling the challenge, and have the licenses, you can try to upgrade the license to pro so you can use them on the domain fully. But this is your choice to try it. Some are not supported others will work just fine.

Is it possible to put restrictions in place on "windows 8.1 with bing" similar to those available via GPO using local policies, file permission changes or registry changes?  We're evaluating low end PCs for a project where the end users only ever use a couple of pieces of software (internal app and VOIP phone), we just need to lock down the desktop and remove the "confusion" of the 8.1 metro launcher.  The PCs are the HP 260 G1 model and are ideal in size, cost and performance apart from the version of windows not allowing us to roll forward the limited restrictions we have on the XP machines we are trying to replace...

I have a customers laptop in the shop where I work. The customer has a bad HDD and I replaced it and reloaded windows 8.1 not realizing it was 8.1 with Bing. Is there a way I can downgrade it or re-install 8.1 with bing? I'd like to get the system back to

It seems "Windows 8.1 with Bing" is only available to hardware partners:

  • Windows 8.1 with Bing limitations?

    Hi
The new Windows 8.1 with Bing has some limitations about default search providers and start page and are only available for OEM manufactures. Other than that is there any limitations on Windows 8.1 with Bing or is it the same as Windows
    8.1 standard editions?
So far I have not been able to find any limitations myself.
    Thomas | MCP | http://www.techwork.dk

    Hi Thomas,
There is no any limitation between OEM bing search and Retail Edition.
You could take full advantage of it either in OEM Windows 8.1 or Retail Windows 8.1.

  • Can i download windows to install with bootcamp

As your MBP has an optical drive you must install from a disc, not an iso on a stick. The previous advice is incorrect.
Purchase the version of Windows you want on a disk. If you already bought an iso burn it to a disc.

Wait, it can take hours (as much as 4 hours has been reported, 1 is more common)

  • Error downloading windows 7 drivers with bootcamp assistant

I am trying to partition my hard drive and install Windows 7 home.  I have the actual disc with Windows on it and an Toshiba external hard drive.  However, when I try to partition the hard drive with boot camp assistant, I receive the same message: "The files cannot be saved because an error has occurred."  Additionally, when I attempt to just partition the hard drive without downloading the drivers to an external hard drive, i receive the same ambiguous message: "The hard drive cannot be partitioned because an error has occurred."  Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this issue?  I need to have a windows operating system installed on my computer and I have tried everything.  Most of the forums are focused on a different type of error message and resolution, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I tried that first and it blue screened twice before it actually installed.  It got most things working like the volume and gesture support for the trackpad but the issue is still occurring.  If you can tell me which driver specifically goes to the USB ports that's in the bootcamp folder then I can assign it to that.

  • Bluetooth issue on HP Stream 7 Tablet - 5709 (Windows 8.1 with Bing)

I just bought a HP Stream 7 Tablet - 5709. When I navigate to 'Manage Bluetooth Devices' all the available devices come as 'Unknown' instead of coming with their name. For example I have a LG Headset which is named "LG HBS700" and I expect to see that name in the available devices so that I can connect to that.
But all I see is 4 to 5 'Unknown' with a message underneath 'Ready to pair' and I am not able to decipher what those devices are. Even if I click on them nothing gets connected.
I appreciate some help in this regard.
    Thanks
    Vin

I appreciate if some one can give me some pointers on this.

  • Download window no longer updates with files I download. It still pops up. Does it get full?

Downloads windows stopped updating with files I download.
It still pops up. and the files do download.

Marcello, I am having the same problem.  When following the advice of many in the community to start iTunes in 32-bit mode, I get the following error after I have done so:
I am running 10.9.2 on a mac mini.
I am hoping this will be fixed or at least a solid answer could be given that iTunes will no longer support certain types of media going foward.

  • Stream 7 and Windows with Bing window sizing on desktop

I really like the HP Stream 7 but the Windows 8.1 with Bing version of windows has a really irritating behavior on the small tablets it won't keep the size and position settings of many applications on the desktop. IE always opens full screen same with Windows Explorer and if you resize or position it the next time you open it it is back to full screen. This is the same behavior on the Streak 7, Toshiba Encore Mini or Encore 2 8 inch, Insignia 8 inch and may be the behavior of all the smaller tablets with Windows with Bing. The Toshiba Encore 2 10 inch behaves normally maintaining the window settings between launches, as did the 8 inch tablets running Windows 8.0 and 8.1 versions prior to Windows with Bing.
Can anyone suggest how to correct this on the small tablets with Windows with Bing

    jeffmdaemon wrote:
You are not wrong, a simple file explorer test resulted in my desktop remembering the windowed position instantly, while my tablet full screened itself every single time. Windows may tell itself to function a little differently as a tablet, the far majority of people would prefer windows to open maximised on a small tablet screen. In your case, the only reason you want it not to is because you are using a case that is not designed (or badly designed) for the stream 7.
I haven't found any reasonably affordable cases for the Stream 7 that offer full access to the screen there will probably be cases in the future that will.   I also picked up an toshiba encore 2 8 and that has a case that offers a fully exposed screen the Windows with Bing behavior is less of an annoyance but still an issue.   This is not so much an HP, Toshiba or any manufacture issue as a Microsoft error.  8 and 10 inch tablets with Windows 8.0 and 8.1 didn't behave this way.  I would like to find a "switch/setting" to correct this.  I use my Windows tablets more then half the time in desktop mode and it is a pain to have the new version of the OS take a step backward in usability I can't remember the version of Windows that didn't support size/position retention,  Win 3?.
Just checked Amazon and they now have a couple cases that provide full screen access so I ordered one.
But that still leaves me looking for the setting that makes the Windows with Bing tablets behave like the tablets with other versions of Windows 8.1 with respect to retaining window size and aspect

  • Windows 7 Professional with SP1 - Unbootable

From the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC), I downloaded
    Windows 7 Professional with SP1
    SW_DVD5_Win_Pro_7w_SP1_32BIT_English_-2_MLF_X17-59276.ISO
From Windows 7 Pro, I burnt a DVD from the ISO using the Windows Disc Image Burner.
I am unable to boot into the target laptop from this disc. However, I am able to boot into other bootable DVDs.
Is there something wrong with the ISO so it does not produce a bootable disc using Windows Disc Image Burner.
    autorun.inf
    [Autorun]
    open=setup.exe
    icon=setup.exe,0
    Thanks in advance.

Either download has not completed correctly or burning process was not correct.
    1. Try to download ISO and check the downloaded file. Do analysis with SHA1 or MD5.
    2. I use CD Burner XP http://cdburnerxp.se/en/home ans have never had any problem.

  • How to get Windws 8.1 with Bing Installation media

Hey Guys, So i did get windows 10 installed on my tablet. HOORAY or so I thought. It wont't recognize my internal activation key in the BIOS. So I think I have to downgrade to windows 8.1 with Bing to get this happen and let it recognize the activation key, then hopefully upgrade the proper way again and hope for no blue screen this time. Does that sound right? Any idea how to get this installation media or windows 10 to recognize the internal BIOS activation key from the OEM? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

I installed Windows 10 from USB, when everything finished, I open activation page, clicked Activate, and activated it's all.
