Downloaded 4.0 linux extracted to desktop went to ~/firefox/firefox tries to launch then just quits no error
My 3.6 is still working fine no issues I just dont get a launch on the new firefox4.0
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

error 1015 usually means you have a jailbroken devices, which per the term of use of the forum, you can't get any help here.

I have been trying to download Maverick on to my 2012 MacAir. It gets to 996MB and stops. A message says there has been an error in the download and to go to purchases and try again. It's the same every time I try.

If this SAME problems is effecting us all then suspect its not IPS problem as we all get problem at 995.6MB.
I would think that there is some kind of software conflict. If we all having this problem just think of how many users have the same but are not on this discussion board, bet you its 100s and 100s.
Not possible for me to visit store now but will monitor your responce's.

Creative Cloud Installer gets half way through downloading the desktop app then just disappears, without downloading, why is that?
I have recently purchased a student subscription to the 'complete package', my credit card was charged. Then I download the Creative Cloud Installer from the website, that's fine, then I double click the Creative Cloud Installer as per instructions, it starts downloading the desktop app, but only gets to about halfway then just disappears.
I've tried using both safari and chrome, restarting my computer, but neither has worked.
I have noticed that the website will not keep me logged in for long either, it keeps switching to BUY instead of DOWNLOAD.

My Mac desktop went offline and printer stopped working. I have attempted everything I can do, without luck. When I attempt to reset my belkin router, the mac will not accept my password. My PC, set up 3" away, is online. HELP
It means, tentatively, that system files are missing or damaged and you will have to reinstall Snow Leopard. See the following:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/. -

I just bought a lapdock to use with my droid 4 for work. Long story, but I needed internet access to get my work done, and there is none here. I thought this would be a great workaround. However, with the ICS update, the webtop mode of my phone does not feature the full desktop firefox that the old OS used. The mobile firefox works ok, but it is not fully compatible with the sites that I need to be working on.
So, basically, I'm looking for a way to use the firefox version that was featured in the webtop mode of motorola phones (maybe others too) and was web enabled to mimic a full laptop experience.
Does anyone know if there is a way to download the old desktop android webtop firefox onto my phone that I could then use from my app drawer whenever I am hooked up to my lapdock? It would make my life a million times easier - and is the main selling point of me buying the dock in the first place. I hope that someone has a way for me to get this done. Thanks!The lapdocks were running a 'normal' ARM Linux install and just used the desktop Linux Firefox. The ARM Linux version of Desktop Firefox won't run on Android's Dalvik VM (Java). We did not do the customization for that Motorola did and last I heard they had stopped supporting lapdocks.

My ipad 2 was stuck in recovery mode. i tried to connect it to itunes and restore but after downloading the file and extracting the software there is a pop up message that says "the device is full. Deleting files and emptying your recycle been will help you restore." how am i going to erase files if i can't open my ipad. i dont know what to do. Its been 2 days now. please help. thanks.
yes i am sure. This are the exact words... "The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. The disk you are attempting to use is full. (Removing files and emptying the recycle bin will free up additional space". i tried some options, hard reset, redsnow, tinyumbrella but still it's stuck.

The icon in the dock is NOT the file itself. You simply removed the dock icon. Go into your Applications folder and you'll find "Install Mac OSX..." and you have what you want.
