Downloaded 8.2 and still can't burn...
I burned a disc right after I downloaded the new version hoping that it finally take of the burn problem. It took forever but it finally spit out a disc. 8 tracks long and it played until track 7 then nothing. track 8 and 1-6 all play so I thought I would try another one. I made a play list and started the burn and it kicked out with a error code 4020 message. That's a new one but not surprising. What really bums me is that I spent a $50 gift card on new music after x-mas and still can't burn any of it.
Are you able to download apps?
If so, have you checked that the Apps tab is selected under preferences in iTunes?

Downgraded to iTunes 4.9 and STILL can't burn! Hilfe!!!
Now there's a new twist. I downgraded to iTunes 4.9 as some have suggested and I still can't burn CDs. Now I get a error message telling me that the brand new disk I put in is full, and then a second error message comes up shortly thereafter telling me that my startup disk is almost full. But I know that there's nearly 692 megs of disk space available.

run Disk Utility and fix permissions - you also might use a tool like Cocktail and run a full system maintenance through "Pilot" -
I tried downloading 4.0 and still can't open AOL or Netflix.
Just blue writing comes up. No pictures or graphics. I can't watch movies with the new 5.0 and when I redownloaded the old version, the same thing happened. This happened last week and I had a devil of a time gettting it to work again. Don't remember how I did it but I'm fed up. I guess I'll have to stick to Chrome which is not as good as the old Mozilla. Shoot!

Can't login to the front end of my Joomla installation. Backend is still OK at the moment. Have tried different accounts and re-setting passwords etc. and it's not that. Just keeps returning me to the login page.

I have Windows XP, and when trying to burn an iTunes playlist to an Audio CD, I get a message saying "Disc burner or Software not found". I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes, but I still can't burn to disc. Any suggestions?
Try HT203242: iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install.

Downloaded Flip4Mac and still can't get WMV file online to play - help!!
I downloaded Flip4Mac and still can't get this WMV file (http://www.bis.doc.gov/asfroot/snapr-webinar-12-19-2007.wmv) to play - no sound and no video. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
MSS2 is Windows Media Video Screen codec which, as noted, does not play on Mac with Flip4Mac or anything else I know of. You'll also fine Windows Media Video Image and those coming from PhotoStory won't play on Mac at all either. Not even the ancient WMP9Mac will play those.

still can not get the website of FirefoxNope---didn't work. I've owned Macs for about 12 years so although I am brain dead on some things, I do have a working knowledge on most things. I only say that to say this--I did try holding down the mouse and choosing empty trash. It asks if I want to permanently delete what's in there. I say yes--and then I get the same identical message again-----'The operation can't be completed because the item "Firefox 8.0.1.dmg" is in use I can then click stop, or continue.' So apparently that complains the same way it does if I click it up on the menu :)))
As for item owned by---that's not an issue and isn't coming up. User is not a problem either as I am the only user on this system. There is only ONE file in my trash at the moment at that is this dmg file. Nothing Mac. Nothing owned by anyone other than Firefox. The problem seems to be that the dmg file and the original 4.0 FF file are working in tandem with each other--even though I have already drug the new 8.0 globe into the Apps folder and it updated the FF app with the new stuff. If I could force the dmg file to go away, I would do so, but at every turn the system is telling me it can't be done because it seems to think that dmg file is in use---even though everything is shut down and/or ejected. Hey--I'm getting ready to head out and won't be back till evening. I'll check back in this evening. Thank you again for your help. -

What is your current iPhoto version, Anthony? And your MacOS X version? And what was the iPhoto version you upgraded from?

You say, you downloaded everything - did you download the Library upgrader? And did you install and run it? Was there any error message?
If your iPhoto library has been upgraded ny the upgrader, you should be able to upgrade it to your current iPhoto version by double clicking it to launch iPhoto on it. Have you tried that? What happens when you try?
One problem to check for - iPhoto may be unable to open your iPhoto library, if it is not on a dsk formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled). Check the formatting of the drive with your iPhoto library.

I've canceled the billing info, got an app store pre paid card and still can't download any apps! Free nor purchasing! Help!!
If you're in the USA, it would be hard to zero balance a gift card just with purchases as there are sales taxes in most areas that you don't know the amount of until the purchase is complete. My guess is that the issue is with the last purchase, there wasn't enough credit left on the card to cover the sales tax.

I have the same &*@#($@% problem....and I'm ******! I've tried everything. What error message are you getting? I am getting "Itunes folder could not be found or created. The default location is in my music folder". I've downloaded it a million times. It worked at first by going to a specific song and clicking it and/or plugging in my IPOD, but that stopped also.
