Downloaded a basketball game but doesnt work

hi i downloaded a basketball game and its a avi. and when i open it with quicktime i see a white screen and the sound plays and i can hear the game playing but no picture. It tells me i need some software update but i dont know which one. Heres what it says when i click on show movie info
XVID, 448 x 336, Millions
MPEG Layer 3, Mono, 48.000 kHz
I dont know what i need someone help me becuase i really want to watch the game. This is kind of making me mad because on my old pc i never had problems with watching this stuff. I also tried realplayer but its weird for the mac and its blank to. Does anyone know anything else that can play it besides quicktime

The file needs a codec that is not standard part of QuickTime. You should try downloading and installing the free DIVX codec since that is commonly used for files online. You may also have luck playing the file with VLC or MPlayer.

You can likely download the last compatible version by:

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

What was the exact error message you received? When you removed and re-installed iTunes, did you use the precise instructions in this Apple support document to walk you through the process?

Downloading a "free" game but incurring charges

Since August 2012 we downloaded 3 "free" games but were billed for that downloading. In the past before a charge was posted into the account a request for my password will appear before the downloading process, however in the last 3 occassions mentioned no such a request was made. Have the terms and conditions of use change this process?. If the game is listed as a free applications why we have been charged?. Thanks.

Have you received iTunes receipts that confirm that you were charged for the free games? Do charges appear on the invoice available in the Purchaase History section of your account when viewed in the iTunes app on your Mac? Have you confirmed with your bank that your account was debited for the game?
When there is a bank card listed in your account information, even with a free game, the iTunes stores and the Mac App Store will often verify the account with a small debit that later drops from your account's pending charges section because Apple does not complete the charge.

However, sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and you will have to wait for an firmware update for the Bose or an iOS update.

Launch iTunes with the iPad connected to your computer.
Select the iPad under Devices in the source list left side of the iTunes window.
Select the Summary tab from the menu.
