Downloaded additional language for software update group question

Hi,
We have some clients where the updates are stuck at downloading at 66% and I think it may be due to missing a language. So I went into the software update group and redownloaded it again with the additional language selected. Do I now need to do anything
else? Do I need to re-deploy it to the collection again? Just not sure if more is required after downloading the additional language? TIA

Correct. You can log in to any endpoint in that state and run machine policy evaluation cycle or use right click tools to do so and you should see that client download missing update.
Additionally, you can check logs for more details on what is really going on:
UpdatesDeployment.log UpdatesHandler.log - both in C:\Windows\CCM\Logs folder and C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log

Software update group question

I did my June updates in June seems to pushing updates fine but now I look at the JUNE update group and the icon looks like this and I know it is not finished updating all workstations. Is there a setting to keep it active longer?

Also, the icon simply indicates that the group itself contains at least one expired update. This does not in any way affect the deployment of the software update group as a whole or the other updates within the group -- they will still be deployed normally.
Only the actual update(s) that are expired will not be deployed.

SCCM 2012 R2 changing date and time for patching software update groups

I recieve this error when changing date and time for software update group. worked fine yesterday before patches to the server were applied last night. we removed patches but still get error below. Any help would be great.

Collections based on Software Update Group compliance

Hi!
Is it possible to create a collection based on software update group compliance? This is for software update groups which are
not deployed, they are just monitor groups (for example, groups for yearly or quarterly software update compliance).
I would like to create a collection that lists all devices which are non-compliant in software update groups with names like "%Client Updates" - is this possible?
The reason for this is so I can impose some stricter Compliance Settings (among some other stuff) on devices that are not compliant.
I looked around a bit, but I could not find anything that I can use. Even Google couldn't solve my question :/

This collection is basically sub selected query get list of computers that do not have specific assignment enabled.

Additional languages for movies?

Hi There;
So when I buy a movie like "Brave" and download my digital copy, why do I not get all the language options it says are there on the iTunes store?
Why does the digital copy not come with all the languages which the DVD and BluRay came with, and that the box claimed on it's label?
If I were to download another copy from the iTunes store would I get all the languages then?
It would be nice if there were a way for me to download additional languages for a small fee.
Have I missed something, or am I correct that I need to download the full movie again from iTunes for full price to get additional languages?

Added additional update to software update group, do I need to deploy it?

I am fairly new to SCCM and I am not sure about this. Couple days ago I downloaded some windows updates and placed them into a software update group 2015Clients and created the required deployments. So today I found an additional update that needed
to be added to this update group 2015clients. So I downloaded the additional update and it was placed into the 2015Clients deployment package. My first question is why is it in the deployment package 2015Clients and not in the software update group 2015Clients
as well? Second question, the new update that is now in the deployment package group says that it is not deployed like the other updates do. Do I need to deploy this new update? I was confused because when I tried to deploy it using the same deployment name
as the other updates it wants me to use a different name. TIA

Downloading an additional update doesn't directly add an update to an update group. Those are two separate things and by that two separate actions. There is no direct link between an update group and a deployment package.
The deployed update group tells the client which updates it should install and the deployment package is the method to make the content of the update available.

I received a pop-up advising me that update OSX 10.8.3 was available. I started the download, but it was fouled by something; it did not download/install. Now I ask for software updates and they tell me "no software updates available." Help.

If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. Just to make sure that everything is updated to the version included in 10.8.3, reinstall it with the Combo installer > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640

It sounds like you are unable to download the iOS 8.0.2 update either, over the air, or using iTunes. If you are updating the software on your phone in Settings > General > software update I would recommend starting with this article:

If you are using iTunes, I would use this article instead:

If you are getting a specific error number, the following article will help you get that resolved:

I'm trying to dual boot Lion and Wind 7 on different HD but when I ran the bootcamp assistance for software update I get an error that it can't download from the server.
I also try without downloading the software and do the installation but it fail. It seem that this bootcamp is giving problem so I revert back to SN leopard and it does the same. Why can't the bootcamp assistance update the software, is it something that I did wrong or my system is not supporting dual booting.
Here is my spec

MacPro1,1 has EFI32 and does not support Windows 7 very well, can't boot 64-bit, can't use all your RAM.
There have always been trouble and issues, ways around those, but a big PITA too.

Nothing to do with Lion actually. Other than downloading drivers from Apple servers has been mostly hit or miss, with miss being 90%.
I have rebuned the DVD (make a new ISO image using Imgburn etc) but now I just install Windows on PC then move the drive to the Mac. A lot easier.
Without 64-bit you can't use more than 1.9GB RAM. And you need Windows 7 Pro to use both processors.

How to resume download for software update

Is there a way to resume failed download for Software Updater (v1.7.3.en) ?
I'm kinna tired having to restart the download again from zero.

not 100% sure about this, but the last time i used NSU there wasn't an option to resume failed downloads. i had to restart my download three times before it finally downloaded the whole package. all i can suggest is to ensure that you have a stable internet connection, and if it still does not work, attempt the update on a friend's computer / using another internet connection.

Creating software update group for required updates ?

I've been trying to find an easy way to create a software update group that contains required security updates for a specific device collection but no solution yet. It is easy to get which security updates are required for that collection via SQL query or
by using built-in report in sccm2012. The problem is, there is no way to easily create a update group to deploy from those lists. You have to add them one by one and that takes so much time. So i would be glad if someone have an answer for me?

Thanks for your quick response. I have hundreds of required updates in the software update section. So you say deploy all of them to that collection even most of are not required for those devices. At this point it seems unreasonable to deploy so much
unnecessary file which will increase the burden on network and devices while it also increases the risk of failures. On the other hand it is also very time consuming to add approx. 50 update one by one to update group.
