Downloaded Adobe LiveCycle Designer but serial number is invalid

I am trying to complete the trial installation of Adove LiveCycle Designer but keep getting an error message that the serial number is invalid.  I've manually typed it in 4 times being very careful to enter correctly.  I've copied directly from the web page and entered it several times.  What's up?

    There are multiple ways to get to the latest version of Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2.  The note you referenced should be made obsolete.  
    This is the path I choose from the download center but there are different installations you could pick.
    Installations and Upgrade

         -> SAP Netweaver
                         -> SAP EHP2 for SAP Netweaver 7.0
         -> Installation
         -> AIX
         -> Oracle
         ... page down to object 51039107 - Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2.  It is toward the bottom.

    I am trying to find a installer file for the Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1 or 8.0...Looks like the previous location of files in service.sap.com has been changed, as I get the message
    All corrective software packages, for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and SAP Business Suite 2005 and beyond that are delivered after April 2nd, 2007 will ONLY be available via SAP Solution Manager's Maintenance Optimizer
    So can anyone help with  a new link to download the files.

  • Adobe support says my serial number is invalid.

    Bought CS3 Extended a few years ago from a reseller on ebay packaged up and sealed in box with printed info. Has serial number sticker on back of the CD case. Adobe support person says it's not a legit serial number as it starts with "1330",  24 digits, total. Had this installed on my previous computer with Vista. Worked find. November 13' had a new PC built with Windows 7 64 bit. Reinstalled CS3 Extended. Worked fine up until about a month ago. Then PC would not open or aknowledge it was on my system. Tried to uninstall, wouldn't let me so had to find software to remove it and all of the components.Did this. Then try to reinstall again but won't let me reinstall.This is what happens. When I put the disc into the CD driver dialogue box says do I want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? Dialogue box pops up, Program name-Adobe autoplay 5.1.  I click yes. Dialogue box pops up with options. Install Adobe Photoshop CS3

    I click on Install Adobe Photoshop CS3
    Another dialogue box pops up.  Manage Adobe Photoshop CS3 components
    Options are -1/  Install or Reinstall
                       2/  Remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 components
    I choose Install or Reinstall
    I click on next then a dialogue box pops up saying "Summary of changes" the following components will be reinstalled. 1/  Adobe Photoshop CS3  2/ shared components. I click on Install and overall progress starts then shows dialogue box  "Summary Errors 2 components"  Adobe Photoshop CS3 , component install failed. Shared components, component install failed.  What do I need to do to install this again? Please help.

  • After a year of using PS, Adobe tells me my serial number is invalid.

    Has anyone had any problems with serial numbers not working anymore? I'm told by a person on their chat support that my serial number is not valid.
    I have CS4 that was purchased from ebay, but it's all original, not a copy. I've been using it for the past year, and about two weeks ago I had a pop up message when I opened the program saying that the serial number wasn't valid and that I could only use PS as a trial version.
    Since the program was bought from ebay, Adobe support won't help me. I was told they don't support sw problems purchased off of ebay.
    If I had a copy, I'd understand, but it isn't.
    When I asked why after a year it doesn't work anymore, I was told to go talk to the person I bought it from.
    So, hopefully someone can tell me why it stopped working. Thanks!

    That's pretty much it, yes.  Adobe knows about the problems and is working on them.
    In software development there's always a balance that must be struck between trying to rush to get a problem fixed and taking the time to get it right so it truly is fixed.
    Personally I feel the activation / licensing processes must always be kept as non-intrusive as they can possibly be since they're all about protecting Adobe, providing legitimate users no useful functionality.

  • Problem with expanding textfield in Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    I've got an urgent problem with Adobe LiveCycle Designer and I really could use some help. The problem is that I'm trying to get my textfield expandable, but whatever I try, it's not working. What I'm trying to get done is that you can fill in a textfield, and when there is more text than the size of the field, the textfield expands to make the text fit in the field.
    I tried a whole lot of things:
    placing the textfield in a subform
    expand to fit (height)
    allow multiple lines
    allow page breaks
    flowed/positioned
    etc.
    The strange thing is, that no matter what I try to adjust, I can't change anything in the pagination tab. Maybe that is the problem, but I don't know what to do, to change that.
    In the examples of Adobe itself (Purchase Form) is an example of a textfield that sort of behaves as I want it to, BUT the problem is that that textfield in the subform has to be triggered to appear by a button (add comments) and that is what I don't want. I want the textfield to be visible from the beginning. But in that example you CAN see the pagination tab and make changes in it.
    I searched a lot in the Adobe Helpfiles of Designer, and I even bought and read/studied the book 'Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer', but still I'm not able to get this done.
    Is there anyone who can help me?

    I am creating my first .pdf with no training. I first converted a word doc of our form into a .pdf. Modified everything and thought I was the "bomb" for figuring it out. Then I tried to use the form and where I had "allowed multiple lines" I realized that it would allow that but not display it or print it except for what was showing.
    In researching for a solution, this site said to use "expand to fit". After much frustration I realized that this feature is only available if you created the form from scratch in adobe.
    I have figured out, somewhat, how to create the form and get the field to move with the text but I need the entire form to adjust to the input. Can't have one specific field expand into the rest of the form.
    I did some more research on this site, and it looks like the solution has something to do with 'subforms'. No idea what to do.
    If anyone knows if there is a way to do this with a converted doc (since I already have that completed) I would GREATLY appreciate it. If it isn't possible, could someone walk me through how to do it or provide a reference for a "barney style" walk through?

  • Generate a subtotals table in Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    I'm having troubles with a template named Customer Invoice (of Application and user management > Business Flexibility > Form Template Maintenance), the case is I modified the template to show a subtotals table that I generate by code (FormCalc language) in Adobe LiveCycle Designer, but the problem is that the code of template just works with some invoices. I don't know what's happening, I hope someone can helps me with this topic.

    as far as I can see there might be a mistake in the code itself. Did you check the tablerows you compare here?
    I think you might have unexpected values at here:
    tblTable[i].rowItem.colProduct.rawValue eq Table4.Row1[j].Cell0.rawValue
    This might cause your unexpected result. Your results are never higher than expected, am I right?
