Downloaded album disappeared during syncing

I recently downloaded several albums through itunes on my iPod Touch. I later plugged the iPod into my computer to sync the content. The sync completed as usual, but when I checked my computer for three of the albums, they hadn't synced. I intended to plug the iPod in and try to sync them again but they had also disappeared from my iPod.
When I go into itunes to try and download them again, a message appears telling me I have already purchased them, but how can I access these albums now?
I have previously bought and synced albums in this way with no trouble and some of the other albums I bought at the same time synced fine, it's just these few that have vanished.
If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

If you are in the USA and have iTunes 10.3.1 on the computer, use the instructions in following link to redownload the music.  iCloud Beta is available in the USA now.

  • All downloaded applications disappeared during Sync

I sync my iPhone to iTunes every day. I have had the phone for a little over a month now with no problems. Today I plugged it in, synced as usual, but when the sync was done, ALL of my downloaded applications are gone, both from my phone and from the Application tab of iTunes.
The Application link under Library in iTunes still shows all of the applications, but when I plug my iPhone in, the Applications tab there is blank.
The apps do still exist in My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications
I have deauthorized my computer, and reauthorized it. I have shut down iTunes and restarted. I turned my phone off and back on. What else can I try to get my applications back?

OK, I did an 'Add Folder to Library' and selected the Mobile Applications folder. The applications now show up again in the Device list, I clicked Sync, and the got copied back to my iPhone. Whew.
But now I have TWO of everything in the Applications section of the Library. There is only one physical copy in the Mobile Applications folder. I shut down iTunes again and restarted. The duplicates are still there. I tried Consolidating the library. Nope. Preferences hide the Applications folder, then unhide it. Nope, still there.
I am now going through the applications one by one, double-clicking on them, and doing a right-click Delete of the ones where the associated file can't be found. iTunes definitely lost track of the applications when I moved My Documents.

  • Music randomly disappears during sync with iPhone

When I sync my iPhone with my MacBook Pro, music randomly disappears from my iTunes library. The first time, 100 items "could not be found," then the last time 10 items "could not be found." Songs are still listed in the library, but they will not play and they have an exclamation point next to them. I have everything backed up on an external drive, but it's a pain to have to keep dragging songs back over. This problem began after my most recent OS X update. The items are very random and incude songs purchased from iTunes, songs from CDs I own and "digital book" downloads included with albums I purchased through iTunes. I would very much appreciate any help. I'm afraid to sync music anymore!

Unfortunately, this does not fix my issue. The battery indicator still disappears sometimes (not always) when syncing and I always have the sidebar showing. BTW, this only happens with my 5S not with my wife's 5 or my iPad 3. It used to happen with the 5 that used to be mine until I got the 5S and gave the 5 to my wife. Because of this I think it has something to do with some app I have loaded (but since I have many apps it would be very hard to track down).

  • Entourage Tasks and iCal "To dos" have disappeared during sync with .Mac

All of my “tasks” (both completed and incomplete) in Entourage and "to dos" iCal have disappeared, apparently during a sync with dot Mac. This problem has happened twice in the past two weeks (the first time I lost all of my Entourage “notes” too, but I haven’t put any back).
The tasks show no problems for a week and then all of a sudden disappear from both Entourage and iCal. My calendar and address book (which I also sync) seem not to be affected. Entourage doesn’t seem to offer a way to sync the calendar without syncing the tasks as well.
    Here are my questions:
    Why did my tasks disappear?
How do I prevent their disappearance again?
has anyone else experienced this problem?
My Entourage database is fine. I’m running Entourage 11.2.3 (which rencently added a feature "sync services" that allows syncing with .Mac and iCal).

I had the same problem and I got my To Dos to appear when I clicked on the To Dos by Priority column header and checked/unchecked the Hide Items outside Calendar View option. (Doesn't seem to make any difference whether it is checked or unchecked ... it displays all of the items ... at least until restart iCal ... then it is a bit unpredictable.)
I also have intermittent problems when I create or change a new Event. Sometimes the change does not appear until I move off the page that I am displaying and come back (e.g. move forward a week in week view and then back.)

  • Can I retrieve photos that disappeared during sync?

My recent photos were lost during a sync. When I attempted to sync a message popped up telling me I needed to either 1) add my iphone as a new device or 2) revert to most recent sync from a couple months back. The reason given had something to do with OS I think.
It was late & I'd had a glass of wine so I should have stopped but I didn't.  I knew I didn't have a new device so I chose the old sync.  When the sync was complete I checked for recent app purchases, found they were there & assumed all was well.
This morning I noticed all my recent photos were missing. Some of these are special to me & I'd really like them back.
Are they retrievable, or are they hidden somewhere I haven't looked? I sync to a pc laptop handed down from my son; there's lots of his stuff left behind where things might hide.

They should be in your Photos app in the Camera Roll.

  • Signatures keep disappearing during sync

I have two computers running mail, which sync Mail accounts via MobileMe. Mostly it works fine, but it's developed an annoying bug whereby the signature nominate in the "Choose Signature" menu in Mail/Prefs/Signatures keeps blanking out. It's not that my signatures are being deleted, just that I can't seem to keep them inserting automatically, and I keep having to reset the tab, which is a pain. It may not be associated with the sync but I assume it is, since it keeps happening on both machines.
Obviously it's not a high-order problem, but it's annoying, and if anyone had any suggestions about how to fix it I'd love to hear them.

Okay - tried resetting the mobileme data but it doesn't seem to have worked. One possibility is I didn't do it properly: what I did was set one of the computers up the way I wanted it, then reset mobileme from it, then turn on the second computer and reset it with the new Mobileme info. For a little while the signatures were okay, but now they've started turning off all the time again.
At present I've got two signatures, with one listed as default, so I'm going to try removing a signature from each of them so there's only one to choose from and see if that helps.
Otherwise I'm happy for more suggestions.

  • How do stop the progress bar disappearing during sync?

When I'm syncing my iPod Classic to my iTunes I will see a progress bar at the top of iTunes showing how far it has progressed and text letting me know which track of how many I'm on.  But this information will only appear for a second or two before being replaced by the text: "Synching iPod Do Not Disconnect".  The warning will remain visible for aproximately two minutes.  How do I change it so that the progress bar remains visible constantly and the warning does not appear?  Failing that how do I change it so that the information I wish to see remains on screen longer and the warning appears only briefly?

Press the escape (esc) key to exit full-screen mode.

You should not see anything labeled iCloud in Windows Explorer.

Responded to pop up to download iCloud.  Selected sync calender and contacts with Outlook during setup.  Now my contacts have disappeared from Outlook on my pc.  Any chance or recovering?

    Hi
Thanks for your comment. Do you currently tether through your BB? I can get access to the internet to use my Outlook but when I try to sync by contacts and calendar, I am unable.
    Is your set-up similar?

  • Everything I download to iPad via iTunes disappears during "Processing".  Restrictions disabled. Tried the Star Trek Into Darkness soundtrack and the Star Trek (2009) film. Same for each. Plenty of space available, the largest newest gen iPad.

I recently purchased the most recent iPad.  I bought the one with the most storage available, wifi only.  I'm unable to download any iTunes purchases as they just disappear during the "Processing" portion of the download.  I've tried this with the Star Trek Into Darkness soundtrack and the Star Trek (2009) film.  All files behave the same way.  Restrictions are currently not enabled.  I can't figure out why it's doing this.  Please help?

I have seen this on my iPad but it is usually with synced music. I know I have songs on the iPad but when I start tapping on the various tabs at the bottom of the app, I get the no Music message. Really quite annoying.
If I quit the Music app from the recents tray and restart the music usually shows up - because it's really ther and should show up! Not to be redundant, but did you try doing a spotlight search! Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the search feature. Or do you look in Settings>General>Storage>Usage and check to see if music is accounted for in there?
The only other thing that I can think of to try would be to reboot your router and see if that helps. Unplug it for about 30 seconds.

  • My iPod 4G, after reset and iOS 6 install, now has only some album art after syncing music. Even music directly downloaded from iTunes is missing album art. (I'm using iTunes 11.0.1 on Windows Vista)

My iPod 4G, after a reset and iOS6 install, after I recopied and synced music, is missing most album art. Even songs directly downloaded from iTunes are missing album art. I'm using iTunes 11.0.1 on Windows Vista. My iPod isn't full. Whenever I go to "On This iPod" and add album art and sync, nothing happens. Please help :/

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

The Apple techs are looking. But they can't find it. Nor can they find a back up on my laptop, Evidently when I backed up my Iphone to computer the calendar wasn't syncing. Since I only use the calander on my phone - I never noticed.
The Apple store rep that sold me the I-Phone 5 on Monday, was transferring my contacts and calendar thru I-Cloud (I never used I-Cloud before that moment - and always had it turned off). He successfully transferred the contacts - which are still on my phone), but the Calendar weirdly split into 6 calendars (2 of which were linked to my G-Mail which only had a few entries) (4 were linked to my MSN / Hotmail email and contained all the major events/data). I never created calendars that were separate or liked them to 2 different emails. I just typed entries into the I-Phone calendar. However, the calendar did exist on the new I-Phone for 24 hours. Something happened during transfer. When the Apple Genius Bar tech was attempting to back up my Calendar & merge the 6 calendars, everything disappeared in his hand while he was looking at it.
I am hoping that some really good data recovery expert exists that can restore the calendar that was in both I-Phones yesterday. It is completely devastating if I can't recover it.
Any help, or referrals, is great appreciated!!!!
    Thanks!

iOS 7 ugrade failed " Error:Device disappeared during timed transition". Phone will not now turn on or sync with itunes, any ideas please?

if a Mac OSX Computer is in near - try iBackup Viewer.
This is free of charge and can read your backup.
and thats the main difference. Those tools are reading the saved Data in the backup
but itunes attempts to restore the data from the backup on your iphone. if there are any corrupted data in the backup - the backup restore goes wrong. this can happen during security software or wrong corrupt data already stored on the iphone.
if itunes messed up to restore from backup try this one :
    - restore your iphone to factory settings using HT1808 or reset all settings and content direct from iphone
    - rename your iPhone (e.g. iPhone Test)
    - setup your iPhone as new device -> attempt to make a new backup - if successful -
    - click in itunes on restore from backup... and choose your desired backup
    or go to:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(Username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista - Windows 7: \Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Pull your complete BackupFolder and try a different PC - copy the BackupFolder on this different PC in the same Path above - start iTunes and see if your Backup is there - attempt to restore from Backup again

Is there a way to share albums created in iphoto on the iphone with the iphoto on the mac?
No, there is not yet a way to do that. Albums created on the iPhone cannot be synced back to the mac.
You might try other ways to send photos back to the mac in a structured way, depending on your IOS version:
You could use Journals instead of albums. If you share a Journal, you can see it on your Mac.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3152
Or create shared photo streams.  iCloud: Using and troubleshooting Shared Photo Streams
