Downloaded album not showing on itunes on iphone4

I bought an album from itunes which at first appeared on my phone but when i plugged it into my laptop and itunes on the laptop, it had then disappeared from the phone. it is stil on my laptop though.
i have tried swithching my phone on and off but does anyone have a clue how i can get the album back on my iphone4??

Previously downloaded album not showing up

I downloaded a album not to long ago, it has since vanished from my library and I can't re-download it. It also does not show up on my previous download tab. If I search for it in the store it says purchased, but it does not have the icloud function so I can get it. It only has the gift or share tabs next to it. There has got to be a way for me to get it. At this point I can't even purchase it again. Any help???

You should be able to access your past purchases in the Purchased section of the iTunes Store.
iTunes Store
Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you'll see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.

Albums not showing on iTunes but are on fully synced iPhone

Something I've noticed as I've been putting together a playlist, I have some albums which aren't showing in my iTunes. The albums were transferred from a hard drive not purchased from the iTunes Store. They are in Music>iTunes>iTunes Media>Music so the location I believe is correct but when you go into the the album title the folder there are no song files.
At first I thought perhaps they had been deleted so went to re-burn the discs but noticed something strange..the albums are on my iPhone which has only ever been synced to my Macbook and is set to sync All Music.
I'm a bit lost as to how this may have happened, if they weren't on my phone I'd assume it was a conflict of file types, perhaps the culprit albums are in .wma format but they play and show with artwork on the iPhone.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
(Macbook Pro Yosemite running iTunes 12 with iPhone 6 - all updated to current versions.)

If not the U2 album then
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

[Consolidation Locked] Elements 11 album not showing in iTunes

I have Elements 11 and am using iTunes 10.7
I have just created an album in Elements 11, but when I want it to sync with my Ipad using iTunes, the new album does not appear in the list.
Albums created earlier, using Elements 8, show up ok.
Please can you help?

iTunes and Photoshop Express 10 (PSE10) can collaborate to maintain a catalog of images contained in photo albums on the iPhone and in PSE10. This option is set in the iPhone window in iTunes under "Photos." The user is asked to check which albums should be copied to the iPhone being synced. I recently re-installed my OS (Win 7 64-bit) and all my applications, including PSE 10 and iTunes. My PSE10 photo catalog was restored from a backup, and preserved my albums. There are 11 albums, each with 10-30 photos. When viewed in iTunes, the albums show the number of images associated with each of them. iTunes reports only a few of the images in each album, with none in most. I've even tried to re-create the albums in PSE10 by deleting all the images and then re-insering them into the albums, with no change. How do I get iTunes to "see" the photos in my PSE10 albums? I've tried asking this question in the Adobe Forums--they sent me here.I'm using the most recent, fully updated versions os PSE10 and iTunes.

I 'd be very grateful if someone could help me please. I have an old ipod nano 4 or 5th gen, sorry not sure which. My problem is that only a few of my albums are showing in itunes although they are all on my ipod. I have tried syncing my ipod many times but it hasn't worked. I have also tried i the summary tab, unticking 'manually manage music and videos', but then get a message 'are you sure you want to manually manage music and videos on your ipod? All existing content on your ipod will be replaced with the contents of your itunes library'. Which I don't want, because only a few of my albums are on my itunes library! I want all the music stored on my ipod to go on to itunes, and I don't know why it dissapeared from itunes in the first place...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mari.

If iTunes is recognizing that there is music on the device that isn't automatically syncing, do this:
1: Go into the iPod area of iTunes.
2: Find the Music tab.
3: Select the unsynced music.
4: Drag the music into the Music part of the iTunes library (should be on the left hand side).
It is probably just not syncing automatically because you haven't told it that you want it to sync. This will fix it.

Try searching for the app using Spotlight, if it finds it, it's just on another home page or in another folder. You can swipe your finger horizontally across the home page to get to spotlight and the other pages.
Do you have any restrictions set? You can disable apps from Settings > General > Restrictions.

Ipod Nano not showing in Itunes or Windows

hi,
when i connect my ipod to my computer it charges but does not show under itunes or in windows. i've tried all the Rs except one...restore. and the only reason i haven't tried restore is because i can't access my ipod under itunes to run the restore! someone pls help if u can...i'm just about ready to smash the thing!i've spent hours these past two weeks trying to get it to open under itunes with no luck. sometimes it pops up as a "new device that is not working properly", but then it just disappears again and i can't find it under my devices!! somebody, anybody, pls help!

I have a simelar problem. My wife had an ipod mini which was synced to itunes, I brought her a 4GB ipod nano yesterday and I told her just plug it into the computer and then it will have auto instructions.
Actually what happens is nothing, I plug it in and it charges, nothing else. I have uninstalled itunes and downloaded it again but it still has my mums ipod mini songs on there.
basically the ipod does not seem to sync with itunes...any help will be appriciated.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

Before you connect any device to a new library go to the Devices tab of the the preferences panel via Edit > Preferences (Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (Mac) and ensure the box next to Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked. You can now safely connect the device to your computer without the danger of media being automatically deleted or overwritten.
To get all your content off your connect your iPad to your new computer.
Then use a 3rd party piece of software to transfer your content

Mobile apps not showing in itunes after upgrade

After upgrading to iTunes 10.5.1.42, the apps I've purchased no linger show in the library listing. They are still on my Windows 7 machine in the folder ...\music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications. They just do not show in iTunes. Does anyone know how I can get them to show again?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Not trying to start any argument here, but if you would have checked the requirements for using an iPad with iTunes on a computer, you would have seen that Windows 8 is not supported.

On your new iPhone tap Settings > Store.
Make sure Books is turned ON.
You shouldn't need to re purchase the book > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
