Downloaded apps do not show up on iPod.

I got an iPod Touch for Christmas. I have been downloading apps and all of the sudden the will not load to my iPod. I have nine pages of apps and the iPod will not let me add any more. If I delete 1 can add one. AM I LIMITED TO NINE PAGES?

have you upgraded to the latest software? you can only download apps to ipod touches with software 2.0 or later.
if yes, then when you connect your ipod to itunes, on the ipod overview screen should be an applications tab, what are the settings on there?

I have the BIG DOG 16 gig iPhone and I am only limitted to 9 pages of APPS.
For what I PAID for this GREAT Phone, there should be NO LIMIT as to how many APPS. that I can download until and UNLESS my memory is FULL, which it is NOT even half full yet.

Hi,
I just recently got a first generation Ipod touch. When I hook it up to my itunes on my desktop, it shows up and I can transfer music extra on it.
But when I go to the Itunes Apps Store on the desktop and choose to buy an application, it buys it and says its downloading it. But after downloading it does not show up in the apps section of my itunes (desktop). And when I check the directory "C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications" it is blank with the directory inside it - C:\Documents and Settings\anish\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications\Downloads\applicationname.tmp
iTunes did not create the ipa files in the Mobile Applications directory at all. So I can't sync an application to the touch, as iTunes sees no application as there is no .ipa file of the application.
But if I go to apps store via the touch and buy it - it then downloads and installs it, and then I can sync it via touch to desktop easily.
But why can't I buy applications on the desktop iTunes and have it sync with my touch.
I have even deleted all the sync histories, backups and even completely restored my touch - (its running 2.1). Still the same issues.
I do not how to solve this.
If anyone can help me - that would be great.

I just tested a fresh new install of itunes (latest 8.0.1.11) on another computer, authorized it and I did not connect touch to it. I just went to app store and bought a free app. And the same issue happened - it downloads the apps and stores the files in its temp folder, but does not process and create the ipa application file. And it does not show up in the my application section of itunes either.
Could there be a problem with the latest version of itunes. I am absolutely running out of ideas...
Can anybody confirm this bug or issue?

PS - One application did process completely was the nytimes.com application. Out of everything else - only this one did work.

Which version did you buy on your iPad ? If you bought the HD version then that is only compatible with the iPad, so you will need to buy the iPhone/Pod version (or download the free version) if you want to use it on your iPhone.

App icons not showing up after downloading?

Why do my app icons not show up on my iPad2? I have purchased the apps on my iPad directly. Also, I know they are there because when I search it finds them and then I can open and run them.

Could the Apps be on the second page of Apps? From your Home page, wipe across from right to left to scroll to page 2.
If that is the problem, press and hold on the icon. When it starts to wiggle, you can drag it back to the first page. This can also be done from iTunes when the iPad is selected.

An app does not show up but is found in search

after setting up my new phone i have at least one app that's icon is not showing up on any of the pages. yet when 'searched' for on the phone it is found and can be used. the app does not show up in my updates list for the app store either, so the phone must know it's installed. what could cause this icon to not be visible and how can i correct this?

When I go to settings, cellular the Music Icon is not listed. I cannot turn on use cellular data for itunes for my music in itunes match. How do I get the icon listed there.

There should be an entry in that section for iTunes, which includes both the iTunes Store and iTunes Match:
Set when cellular data is used for apps and services. Go to Settings > Cellular, then turn cellular data on or off for any app that can use cellular data. If a setting is off, iPhone will use only Wi-Fi for that service. The iTunes settings include both iTunes Match and automatic downloads from the iTunes Store and the App Store.

Do you have Flash installed? Check HD > Library > Internet Plug-Ins

Their app is rated 17+ because of what you could potentially search with it, so if you have an app age rating set then it will be hidden.
If you can't remember/don't know the restrictions code then do you know if it was on the iPad when you last backed up ? If not then you can restore to that backup and it should be removed. If it was on the iPad when you last backed up then the only way to remove it is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults and you can then re-sync your content back to the iPad - you won't be able to restore to the backup as that will keep the code in place.
