Downloaded apps still want to be downloaded

i get a message saying there are 3 updates available for my applications, i go to the iTunes store and click 'download updates', and when they've finished downloading i sync with my phone, and they are there, available for use.
but iTunes still says there are 3 updates available. so i downloaded again, but they're still there.
anybody else get this?
cheers

I too have had this issue for weeks, nothing to be done from my searching about the internet. Someone in the Apple Discussion area must have a solution. Let's hope so.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, there is a blank app icon on the home screen. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Hi Frank, since this morning I've been facing the same problem...Are you still having the same problem? How did you fix it?

  • When I try to download app it says can't download at this time

I still have storage space left and my wifi is working so I don't know how to fix it

    Hi Meggiejo,
Let's troubleshoot your iTunes Store connection:
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, go ahead and sign back in.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If the above did not resolve your issue, refer to the following:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    - Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    - Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    - Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guidefor your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    - Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    - Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    - If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Deleted app still wants to update

I bought an app to my MacBook Pro but it was useless so i removed it. But now App Store wants to update it.
Does anyone know how I do to remove it from the updates?

    Quit the App Store.
    Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash, restart your Mac.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.
For LIon: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

  • Why does the App Store want to me download Mavericks again?

I have a MacBook Pro that I updated to OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 about a week ago. I was perusing the App Store today and it wants me to "Update" Mavericks, which entails me downloading 5 GB. I think it's confused is basically asking me to re-download the entire Mavericks. Why is it asking me to do that?
Thanks for any answers. PS, the App Store is kind of the bane of my existence.

Yeah, it's asking me to download the installer again. It wants me to "install" Mavericks (even though I already have it!). I decided to go ahead download it, but now I'm wondering if I need to re-install Mavericks for it to stop telling me to install it. It's just kind of concerning that it thinks I still need to install Mavericks. Thanks for your help.

  • I rented a movie on my iPhone 4, and it didn't have enough space to download the rest. It won't let me delete it cause it still wants to finish downloading, and I can't find it through itunes. Am I missing something? Please help.

Please help me here, I'm all out of space and I want to download music. **** movie took up 4.1gigs and it won't delete.

Sounds like your iPhone is in recovery mode as the update failed. You will now need to restore the iPhone to factory settings with iTunes on a computer. If your iPhone is not being recognised by your computer read one of the articles below based on your computers OS:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

  • Changed user account name and moved to OSX Yosemite. Apps still work, but cannot download new apps or updates.

I recently moved to a new MacBook Air with a physically larger hard drive. I had a coworker move over all of my software and data, and everything seems to be playing nicely. All of the current apps I have in place like Photoshop and Illustrator are working just fine.
Unfortunately when I try to download other apps in Creative Cloud it just shows Download Error. I tried reinstalling Creative Cloud, which did nothing.
I should note that when I moved to the larger machine I changed user account names. Whenever I try to use FileSync, it says it is looking for a folder in the old user account folder. This occurs even after trying to change where that folder is in the Preferences.
Additionally I have updated from Mavericks to Yosemite. I do not know what effect that had.
Any insight how to restore my ability to get downloads and updates? Or perhaps how to fix my FileSync?

I think I have it resolved by uninstalling everything and running the cleaner per these instructions: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

  • How to download apps from appsstores, How to download apps from appsstores?

How to install application from app stores? Asking for card details is it mandatory?

Unless you follow the instructions on this page when creating an account then you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account to download any items from the store : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 - if you use those instructions to create an account then you should get a 'none' option on the payments screen and be able to download free items.

  • I want to download an app, but whenever I click on it, it does the spinning in a circle thing but never asks for my password and never downloads, I want to be able to download apps again! What to do?

I want to download apps, but whenever I click download, it does the spinning in a circle thing but never asks for my password and never downloads, I want to be able to download apps again! How do I fix this?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

  • Donnot erase your iPad air 2 when cannot download app from App store

Hey, I got a 64gb new iPad air 2 last week. while I was downloading apps from App Store, it suddenly could not tell apps. The downloading one became white. And then did't work. After that I had very slow speed connecting App Store, and could  hardly download anything. And wifi also became very very slow. My iphone 6 and iPad 2 didn't have this happen, so I figured out it was something wrong with my new iPad Air 2. I've searched many blogs and tried everything, including resetting network, switching on and off wifi, powering on and off the new iPad air 2, nothing getting better. Finally, I had no choice but erasing EVERYTHING on it, after trying all possible solutions over a night, it still didn't work! there must be something wrong with the wifi chip in it. It's really frustrating!
SO, I'd like to say to you if you have the same problem like this, do NOT erase everything, or you'll lose everything without solving the problem! I'd also say a few words to Apple company: I bought my ipad 2 the day it was issued by your company, it works so well in the past years, never crushed down or frustrated me like this. But I got the iPad air 2 for only a week, I have been struggling on solving app downloading and wifi issues for hours! What's the problem with you company? this would never happen with Steve! Earning money doesn't mean you can lower your quality!
I'll go to Apple Store in Chicago to do the exchange or return, because I thouht it was really enough. I'll come back here to tell u the result.
