Connect the phone to your computer, but do not sync. Make sure iTunes is authorized to the same account that you bought the apps with. Then select "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes File menu. Once this finishes the apps will be on your computer, so you can sync safely.

Will my apps in my iPhone be deleted when i sync music from a different computer/iTunes?
So i went to a technician to download paid apps for my iPhone. Then when i went home i want to add music files to my iPhone but when i pressed the sync button the iTunes said:
The iPhone is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?
An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library.
i was wondering if when i sync JUST MUSIC/VIDEOS/PHOTOS will my apps be erased too???

Help! I updated my son's ipod touch with the IOS 6 update. Then i downloaded the new You tube app onto my itunes on the computer. When i synched my ipod the computer showa You Tube on the ipod but it isn't there and i cannot get it reinstalled. please help. This is very frusterating because there is obviously a glitch and i can't fix it. Any suggestions?
Have you tired using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find it.
Do you have Restrictions on that would hid the app? Settings>General>Restrictions. -
New computer but don't want to delete all music on ipod....
My computer crashed so now I have a new one. I connect my ipod to my computer and intunes opens and asks me do i want to delete everything on my ipod and refill it with my cureent library. I want to know how to keep all my songs already on there but still be able to add new songs from this computer. Can anyone help??
get winamp (free download) it will allow you to download your ipod music back into your PC.. also will allow you to add to ipod without sync to itunes that way you can keep you pc cleaner and just new songs without taking up all the space..important when you have a 60gb ipod and don't want to use your pc as the replicate of the ipod...

Question. In my computer music library, I "unchecked" all of the music that my daughter downloaded onto my computer because I did not want it on my ipod. But, every time I try to "sync" my ipod with my computer now, it keeps downloading her music onto my i-pod, even though her tunes are NOT checked. What is wrong, and how can I get her tunes OFF my ipod?
The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps

i got ma apps on ma iphone via downlding it 4m ma sim...nw when i downloaded apps using itunes in ma laptop and then syncing it....ma existing apps got deleted.....so i jus want to chnge settings so that after syncing it ma before apps dont get delete????please help

Hello, i've downloaded an app from The App Store on iTunes (Call of Duty) and when i wanted to sync it to my iPhone5 it stops in step 5 *detemining apps to sync* what should i do? i don't want to restore my iPhone.
You cannot call anyone. You contact them as everyone else does: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
You delete the app as you do any other app. Hold an icon until they wiggle. Tap the "x". This is covered in the manual.
