Downloaded apps will not open on 1st gen Ipod touch

I have tried restarting and resetting but it still would work. I've download 3 differnent apps and all will open for 2 seconds then shift back to the home screen. Why?

I have a 1st Generation iPod touch and I have been using App Store very often to download apps. I do not have my iPod syched to my computer, so I cannot download apps with it. I just use my iPod's app store. Up until the other day, it has been working. I tried to download an app, but it showed no screen shots, and by tapping the price to download it, it did not do anything. It did this on every app I tried. Every time I try to download an app, it doesn't work. Is it because my iPod is so old? What is the problem?

Try resetting the iPod..
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Downloaded apps will not open

My downloaded apps will not open. I can open apps that came loaded from the factory, but when I attempt to open a downloaded app, the screen momentarily goes black and then returns to the homepage/wallpapered screen.
I've tried powering off, etc.
How do I resolve this issue?

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

My newly downloaded apps will not open on iPhone 6 8.3

Hi,
I've been having an issue with my new iPhone 6+ that will not open any newly downloaded apps. They instantly close upon trying to open them. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know of a solution?
I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall all the apps giving me issues but this did not solve my issue. I am trying to prevent doing a full wipe of the phone so any help will be appreciated.

Windows 7 will not recignize my 4th gen ipod touch 32gb

On my laptop I have windows 7. windows will not recognize my 32gb, 4th gen ipod touch. When i plug in my ipod all i get is a message that says "USB device not recognized" I have uninstalled and re installed ALL windows programs on my laptop. Please help. I have had this same ipod working on my desktop that runs win 7 with no problem. my Ipod software is up to date running iOS 6.1.6

Apps won't launch on 1st gen ipod touch.

None of the downloaded apps will launch (Facebook; games, etc) They were working fine yesterday but have stopped today for no apparent reason. I've tried rebooting, restarting but it hasn't worked. Any ideas?

Try a hard reset and go from there.

Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) for about 10 seconds

After you move the stuff to the new computer let iTunes erase your iPod and replace its contents with what is now in your iTunes library.

Can i use nike+ipod (sensor kit or not) with my 1st gen ipod touch?

okay. so i just bought an ipod touch about a month ago because i had an ipod classic but wanted to use nike+. Well i was cruisin the apple website looking to buy nike+ and realized that it says that it only works with 2nd generation touchs. I was about to bust a nut. I did not just spend 250 dollars on a touch and now i cant even use nike+
I bought the 2.2 software upgrade a bit before that, and im wondering if with this upgrade i can use nike+? I understand that the 2nd gen touch has a built in thingy majigger, but if i bought the sports kit (both the sensor fo rhte ipod nad the reciever for the shoe) can i still use it?

yes - part of the recent MacHeist 4 package - what is frustrating is they will run on my desktop iMac also running 10.8.2 -- I tried the iMac to see if the apps were indeed functional, then cleared them off the iMac because I want to use them on the MacBook Air

Then the next step would be to restore your phone. My advice is that prior to restoring you import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud or to a supported program on your computer using iTunes) as a number of users report losing these when restoring their device.
