What you just wrote may have revealed the Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integration consideration. If you have Premiere Elements 11, you need Photoshop Elements 11 for the integration between the programs to produce the DVD version of the Photoshop Elements Slideshow.
All along I was picturing Meyerswalter already in Premiere Elements 11/Publish+Share/Disc/DVD and being told to install Premiere Elements to get the burn to disc accomplished.
But, if Meyerswalter is using Premiere Elements 11 and a non integrated version of Photoshop Elements for this matter, that could very well fit.
So, Meyeswalter, so that we can dispel those thoughts
a. What versions of Photoshop Elements are you using with Premiere Elements 11? And, are you in the Photoshop Elements Slideslide Show Editor using the Output of Burn to Disc DVD or Edit with Premiere Elements Editor and getting the load software message somewhere along the line?
b. To prove this point, if you have not already, what happens if you take Photoshop Elements out of the equation. Import some media into Premiere Elements 11 and try to burn to disc from there Publish+Share/Disc/DVD?
If that is the core of the issue, I will post a list of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integrated combos as a guideline for you.
If this is the core of the issue, you could always keep the non Photoshop Elements 11 version that you have, output the slideshow to a wmv file sized for DVD and then import that into Premiere Elements 11 via its Add Media. More on that later if necessary since right now I am speculating on an explanation for what you are encountering.

App Store - iphoto download but will not install - error occurred...?

I downloaded iPhoto from the app store but when it finished downloading it did not install. I tried to go back into the app store to install it and 'an error has occurred' shows beside the 'install' button. I have restared, signed out, signed in, cleared all warnings without avail. Can anyone help?

Problem solved...
Ran Disk Utility --> Repair Disk Permissions
Signed out of App Store, Signed In
Went to Applications and clicked the little 'x' in the top corner of the iphoto app
Cancelled download
Restarted download within App Store

Update Downloads but will not Install (and a few other issues)

My dInc2 keeps telling me I have an update. I download the firmware and then it tells me that if I install I won't be able to use the phone. This is fine - it's what always happens. Except it NEVER installs. Ever. I've tried a million times. And more recently, my clock disappeared. I was so glad I wasn't having that issue - but then it happened. Has anyone else experienced the issue of updates not installing? How do I fix it?

Ver 6 downloads but will not install on PC. Tried several times.

when i open firefox, recommends to upgrade to ver 6. The doenload goes a head and asks me to restart, which I do. But the new version does not install. Tried this several times with same result. The working version is 4 yahoo addition 1.8. I also have a netbook which has the same problem.

Kind of odd that they do the same thing. May imply something you've installed or done might be causing it.
Have you booted from the install DVD (original disk shipped with each mac) and repaired the disk?
After that, boot normally and run Repair Permissions from Disk Utility. Then, try again.

HELP - FRUSTRATED - iTunes 7 Downloaded but will not install

Hi....I have downloaded iTunes. But when I then run the iTunesSetup.exe to install it, I keep getting the exact same message:
"The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime"
That's it. No error number or further explanation. I have deleted/erased all other versions of QuickTime. I have downloaded, run and installed the QuickTime 7 standalone installer from my hard drive and yet I still keep getting the same message I posted above.
This is going on 3 hours now, and I'm not happy.

let's try getting an itunes 7 installer log to the Apple Engineers for a look.
1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return.)
2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
3. Type in a space, then the following line:
/l*v C:\log.txt
4. Hit return.
5. The installer will create a log file:
C:\log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80073712, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

Adobe Download Assistant will not install.

I'm attempting to install the trial version of Design Premium CS5.5, but the Adobe Download Assistant will not install. It appears to be installing after I click on the installer--a window loads that says "Installing"--but then nothing happens. Nothing loads. Nothing shows up in the Applications folder. After trying this many, many times (with different browsers and after many refreshes and computer restarts), I'd sometimes get an error message that I need Adobe Air. When I try to install Adobe Air, I have the same issue: nothing happens. What can I do? I am using a brand new MacBook Pro.

I had a very very similar issue on my MacBook Pro as well with ADA. Solved it about 30 minutes ago. I found a post from late December that suggested trying the following:
System Preferences
Energy Saver
Uncheck "Automatic Graphic Switching" at the top of the page.
Install Adobe Air
Profit.
Hope it works for you too, I was ready to throw this box out the window.

Since you have a new install of OSX, you may be missing Stuffit Expander, needed to expand downloads encrypted/archived in a Stuffit format. That problem confronted me with a new machine running OSX 10.6; a download and install of Stuffit Expander fixed it.
