Downloaded different versions none work. will not open vista64

a few months ago fine then I don't know what caused it but now FF won't open. Uninstalled,tried different versions and still. using vista 64. Please help I love FF. I uninstalled any program that I thought had a slight chance of affection FF. no results. Last option is to reformat drive and start over.I miss my fox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Sometimes the Firefox window gets "off screen" somehow. You often can force it to appear on the screen by right-clicking the little thumbnail image above the Taskbar and choosing Maximize. Does that work?

After i had dowloaded new version of Firefox. I go to icon to open browser and nothing happens. It spins like it is going to open and then Nothing. I goto task manager and there is a process firefox.exe running but I browser window never opens

You will have to close firefox.exe with the Windows Task Manager from the "Processes" tab of the WTM since you don't have a widow to close.
The best way to close Firefox is through File > Exit, for those who stuck with the "Firefox" button click on the Firefox button then Exit. It is not perfect but it is a lot better than just closing the window with the "X" in the upper right corner

Version 4 is oh so old.
The IRS and many other providers of forms are using products like LIveCycle which require at least version 7.05.

Restore the backup before you installed.
If you didn't make a backup, at very minimum make sure your Music library isn't compromised by locating the folder you selected the music to be in (usually in Users -> yourname -> Music) and make sure there are several MB of data there by clicking once on the folder, and selecting Get Info from the File menu in the Finder.
If you can't find it, try to locate parts of track names with Find Any File.

Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

Delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder. Then launch iWeb and see if it opens.
What happened was trying to open the html file reset the file path that iWeb saves in its preference file to tell it where to go when you launch iWeb. Deleting the pref file and launching iWeb creates a new file and iWeb looks in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder for the Domain.sites2 file it uses to create your site.

Issue: installed Adobe Reader XI, Norwegian version, existing pdf will not open or appear empty

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, but I still have the same issue. Adobe automatically gives me the Norwegian version as I live in Norway. When I open existing pdf files they appear empty, and automatically close themselves after a few seconds.
Any idea how I can solve this problem?

What exactly are you double-clicking?
Once software is installed on your computer, you can usually launch by clicking the icon on your computer's desktop. Or by looking inside Start > Programs (Win) or Applications Folder (Mac).

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Responded to upgrade notice for Firefox 11. Downloaded and installed following directions. Message about RealPlayer add in needing manual update. No other errors with install. Displays crash reporter when opening. In safe mode, also displays crash reporter. Will not open. Unable to do anything in Firefox. This note is written in IE.

I downloaded the newest version and it will not open

A screen kept popping up saying I needed to download the latest version of Firefox because I was susceptible to viruses. I hit download and the latest version downloaded and now Firefox will not open at all. I have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I have to "force quit" the program because it will not run at all. I have also had a problem with Firefox randomly quitting on me and exiting out of the windows I have open.
