DOWNLOADED DRIVE BUT CANNOT FIND IT

I am trying to install a Canon Pixma MP130 printer. I went on the Canon website and downloaded the OS X driver.pkg file. I double clicked on that file and everything seemingly installed correctly but when I try to add the printer, the driver is not there. Am I doing something wrong? If I collect on automatically find the driver it selects the Generic Post Script driver which doesn't work.

The Canon inkjet drivers cannot be manually selected from the Print Using menu. They have been designed to automatically add when the selected model in the Add printer window is selected. So your inability to select the model is not an indication of a faulty driver installation.
Also, while the link to the Gutenprint drivers would be an option in most cases, the MP130 is not listed as a supported model with the latest v5.2.3 release so you would have to select another model that will work - and this can be a tiresome task.
So what you need to resolve is the sharing issue between both Mac's. If the printer is showing in the Add printer window as 'Bonjour Shared', but selecting it fails to find the locally installed driver, then either something is blocking the communication to the client software to determine the machine as an MP130 or something is amiss with the locally installed driver. Given that you can add the printer when it is connected directly via USB, the locally installed driver would appear to be okay. So I would check firewall settings on both Mac's first and temporarily disable if they are enabled. I would also ensure they are both set to 10.5.7, as an earlier version of 10.5.x connecting to the latest could be a possible cause.

OK, but how are the pictures being sent to you?
If you using DropBox, tap on the photo in order to open it on the right, and then tap the share icon in the upper right corner. From there you can Save the Image which will transfer it to the Photos app, or you can tap the Open In icon and select any compatible app in which to open and save the photos.
If the photos are being emailed it is basically the same thing. Tap and hold down on it and select Quick Look to open it, tap the Share icon, etc, etc.

If you just download them then they are in your download folder or where ever you specified for them to be saved to. Now you need to install them.

I have music on a stick drive which I want to transport to itunes on my desktop PC running Vista. I downloaded itunes but cannot find a page on itunes to load the music onto.. When I put the stick into the USB port, an AutoPlay box comes up which says Play using .Windows Media Player..............Import music, pictures, video using Real Player. Open folder to view files using Windows explorer etc.....& set Auto Play Defaults in control Panel. I checked the content of my other back-up and found the bookmark Bookmarks.plist in the library under Safari
Dumped the existing copy in the computer and drag-dropped the back up. All bookmarks restored.
Solved the Stickies problem by using Spotlight to find file "stickiesdatabase" and did a drag- drop to replace file. All data restored.
Re Ical data loss. Used Spotlight to find iCal document in Library - Preferences where I found com.apple.iCal.plist in folder.
Got ready to make change but did not immediately remove file. When I returned to Preferences folder to grab above document,
the readable descriptors had been changed to code consisting of some upper case letters and/or single symbols!
So now I cannot tell which is the symbol iCal.plist
Thanks for leading me so far, but how do I find that plist for my calendar?

Check Finderr->Preferences->General and ensure that HDs are selected for display. If so and they still don't, Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that does the trick.

If you registered PSE before, go to the main page of adobe.com, sign in and go to your account and you should find the serial number there in your purchases.

If you are on iOS 5 then they should be in the Music app under the More button - if there are audiobooks on the iPad then there should be an Audiobooks option under More. If you are on iOS 4 then they should be in the iPod app.

How did you download it? If by the iTunes update button, just connect the iPod to the computer and click on update.
