Downloaded Elements off App Store on Mac Lion X - Got German instead of English...
Need english, what menu do I go to for changing the language in the preferences... Doesn't the app store know my culture automatically? How did this happen?

Is there anyone that has a problem with changing the Apps and iTunes language back to English after the IOS 7.1 updates on their iPhone? Ihave contacted Apple support and followed the step by step instructions and it did not change it to English. The original language is English. I reset all settings and turned the phone off and it still did not change the language in the software eventhough the settings for language is set in English. When I went on line support.apple.com, in the iTunes section it states that the software iTunes 11.1.7, I think changes the language in the Apps whenever there are updates in the IOS 7.1. T-OwensContent bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All you need to do is delete those apps belonging to your wife.
Check Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > your own Apple ID here. If not, sign out here and sign in yours. -
Just installing a few updates from the Mac App Store for mountain lion on my 2010 MacBook Pro, during this it made a noise and then the screen and keyboard went off, like it is off. What happened, is it off...or should I just wait it out?
What kind of noise?
The only things I can think of that make noise are fans and disks. Fans usually will not cause the computer to shutdown as you describe. My guess is your disk drive died. I hope you made a backup prior to start the ungrade.

Mountain lion will not download thru the apps store. It has been purchased and redeemed. I have set my energy settings appropriately so computer will not turn off during download as Verizon offers a connection that is very slow. I have set the display to go to sleep (which I have set so I have to sign in again). When I sign in again, Mountain Lion OSX has disappeared from the launchpad. I have tried this several times. I do have Norton Internet Security on my Mac Air. I turned off the idle time scan on the Norton and tried again. Same results. Anyone?
Ask anyone around here, and they will tell you quite differently. AV software will slow down your computer, can be incompatible with software you use, can cause kernel panics and other problems. It is unnecessay since OS X has it's own protection built-in. AV software can no more tell the difference between safe and unsafe sites on your browser than could an elephant.

The only way you could get Lion for free was if you had purchased a new Mac within a certain number of days before Lion's release. Buyers could then get a free upgrade to Lion. That offer is long gone. Otherwise, it's never been free.
Mavericks, 10.9.x is the first OS Apple has ever released for free to everyone (who's Mac can run it). -
My iPhoto somehow got deleted from my Macbook Pro. Now when i try to re-download it from app store, i get the message, "we could not complete your purchase, iPhoto cant be installed on Mac OSX install ESD, because Mac OS X version 10.9 or later is required." The iphoto was actually installed on this macbook and now i cant re-install it. This version of macbooks dont come with any CD. Please help somebody?

I have my new HD in a USB enclosure connected to my MacBook Pro and I want to put a fresh copy of Mountain Lion on it. I'm told that I need to boot from the Installation Disk to start. But I do not have an install DVD as I got ML as a download from the App Store. Can I download ML from the App Store again, but this time directly to my new HD?
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
You can also use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your present setup to it and boot from it.

I downloaded lion but it wont install, it says that the software has been tampered with. But i downloaded from the app store.
I have been through the same process three times now. The downloaded file is 4.07GB. I deleted it and re-downloaded and I get the same error.

48 Hours ago I started to upgrade to Mountain Lion on a now 10 day old IMac - 30 minutes ago I got the email with the content code and redeem code for the download from the app store - it said download was happening, but nothing happened for 30 min - HOW DO I (or you) FIX IT!?
This is a User's Forum, yelling at us won't help. You have 90 days of customer support via telephone. Use them as they can interact with their system and hopefully get you back on track. Otherwise take it to them at the Genius Bar and have them make it good.

Simply, you can't download it.
If you want to upgrade to iphoto 11 then you'll need to either
1. Upgrade your OS to 10.7.5 - which requires a purchase of the OS
Or
2. Find an iLife 11 install disk. You may get one on Amazon or Ebay. -
Has downloaded I3D through App store. It has been written FREE. From the account it has been written off 2.99$ WHY??

If you mean apps that you bought from the iTunes app store for your iOS device, no they are not compatible with the Mac.

I downloaded GarageBand to Ipad2 for $4.99 and worked fine. When I updated Ipad2 to Iso5 it automatically took Garageband off my iPad2 and downloaded it to my Iphone4. So I removed it from iPhone4 and when I go to download again at app store onto my IPad it says it is downloaded but when searching for icon on Ipad2, it won't show up at all. I have tried hard reset and all. Help!!!
