Downloaded Firefox NIGHTLY-cannot find it on Programs to uninstall-what have I done???
I just got refurb'd Lenovo and wanted to get Firefox. Googled and got Firefox Nightly which did not have a valid certificate and downloaded anyway. The video clip said this was a nightly update of the latest and greatest of what was happening in Firefox world. Now I cannot find it on my programs list to uninstall it. What have I done and what can I do? Thanks.
hello McBreakthrough, nightly is the early developer version of firefox - for general use you'll more likely want to install the stable release version of firefox from getfirefox.com.
you can sort your list of installed programs in the windows control panel by install date, this should make it easy to find & uninstall the most recently added programs...

I usually don’t have trouble explaining my problems, but this one is confusing the heck out of me. I just downloaded Reader 11. It is installed, I believe. This is the first time Reader has not worked for me after upgrading to a newer version. I’ve been reading PDF files forever, but tonight when I went to read a pdf file that I received today, I clicked on the file, expecting Reader to open up and it never did. Then I tried to read some older pdf files and nothing happened when I tried to open the file. I’ve been using Acrobat Reader for years so that’s why I’m so confused.
I downloaded the file from the adobe.com website. and everything seemed to be fine. My question is indeed vague, but I don’t know any other way to explain what happened. Should I uninstall and start over??

I would like to know if anyone, after downloading Lion OS, lost their Quicken 2007? If so, what have they done to remedy the problem?
From the quicken website:
Converting your data from Quicken for Mac
Create a copy of your current Quicken for Mac data file.
Important: You'll want to use the copy for the conversion. Do not use your original data file.
Launch the Quicken File Exchange Utility (it's located on your Quicken Essentials disk).
Follow the on-screen instructions to locate the copy of your old data file and then convert your data from Quicken for Mac to Quicken Essentials.
Open Quicken Essentials.
If you want to import your old data into a new Quicken Essentials data file that you’ve already started using (optional), make sure that the new data file is now open in Quicken Essentials.
Choose File > Import, and then select the file that you just created during the conversion process.
The conversion file has a .QDFX extension. You’ll find it in the same folder as the copy of your old Quicken for Mac file. -

Anyway, your "More System Details" shows that you have Flash 12 installed, so you shouldn't need to reinstall it unless we determine that it is really broken.
When on the problem site, do you see a notification icon to the left of the address, up in the address bar? It would look like a piece of Lego. Could you click that and see whether it indicates anything about the status of Flash, or any other plugin? -
I have now downloaded Firefox as my default browser and when downloading I asked for my favourites from Internet Explorer to be exported to Firefox. I cannot find anywhere on the Firefox site that allows me to open my favourites. Can you please advise.
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -

Running the new and improved 6.0.2 with Mac OS 10.6.8 on a Macbook Pro and Firefox keeps crashing. When I have Yahoo on my screen with MY FAVORITES on the left side I can't click on ANY of my favorites without a crash. I can hardly navigate anywhere without a crash. Have a MacBook Air running same OS and same Firefox with no problems. So what gives? What is happening and what should I do to fix this?
something similar has been happening to me for a a couple weeks (even before the most recent update, but now is definitely worse) on my 2010 MacBook Air. Firefox freezes upon startup, and then freezes maybe every twenty minutes or so when I'm actively using it, staying frozen for at least a minute or two. it drives me crazy.

Force quit. cmd-option-esc key combo. Then choose Mail and force quit in the window that presents itself.

I use firefox 25 on windows 8 PC and I am using this browser from past 2 months and yesterday I downloaded firefox Nightly and then used it as a browser. Today when I start opening browser then its not opening. Does the both firefox and nightly wont work in a single PC ???? I could use Internet Explorer & Google Chrome browsers, but the firefox browser is not loading.You need to take care to use separate profiles when using multiple versions of Firefox.
We will need more information about your problem but mean while maybe this general information will help. Besides telling us about any error messages please also say exactly what you have tried; to fix the problem, and whether you now have multiple Firefox profiles set up.

when i used to download a game or a programme i use to have a tab that used to ask if i allow the programme or an extension to download. now i cannot find it any more with the new firefox. can you tell me where to look?
You can check if you see a download action for that file tab in Tools > Options > Applications
You can delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

So whenever I try to download the newest itunes file it won't let me finish the install process because I'm missing the "Itunes.msi" file whatever that is and I've done some searches but I cannot find the file. Anyone know what to do?

Since I downloaded Maverick, I cannot find my External Hard Drive in the "Finder" area. I have to unplug all the time the hard drive to be recognized by my iMac. How can I fix this problem? Thank You.
Check Finderr->Preferences->General and ensure that HDs are selected for display. If so and they still don't, Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that does the trick.

i bought osx lion for download but I cannot find where it is on the app store. i currently have 10.5.8 so I dont know if that has something to do with it.
