Downloaded ios 6 to iphone but don't want to install. How do i remove download from phone. Takes up too much room.
The ios 6 download takes up too much room. I don't want to install it, but I don't know how to get rid of the download. Any way to get rid if it?
There is no way to get rid of it now that it is earmarked for the phone. I can respect your choice to hold to Maps, but you will need to install eventually. While this may not matter to you, the Maps app has worked fine for me, however I live in the US and that could make a difference.

The facebook equivalent lets you choose if you want the photos or not. Why doesn't this?After adding song to library delete the originals. Then your folder is empty again waiting for more songs to add to library.

You delete the same way as IOS 5. I have no issue deleting music with IOS 6 by swiping left to right to delete.

Text messages are included in your iPhone backup. Before switching over to the new phone, back up the old one, then restore this backup to your new phone. How do I export items from my iPhone to my iMac? Apple sent me a message to my iPhone, saying that there is an update for iOS, to 6.1.3, but before I install this update, I should first transfer some items from the iPhone to my iMac; otherwise I would lose these items (apps?)
I have two problems with this: 1) I don't know what files I should transfer, and 2) I don't how to transfer from an iPhone to an iMac (but do know how to download apps from iTunes Store to my iMac, and then to my iPhone.

DBHMove the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on File, and choose Transfer Purchases. If you need to authorize the computer, the command is in the Store menu.

Maybe reset your iPhone 4 to Factory Conditions? I'm not sure this will work and would probably ask an Apple Genius if that might work. It was shipped from the Factory with iOS ? ... maybe 4 or 5? Good question ... I suspect a lot of iPhone 4 users will want to return to iOS6.
Another solution is to bite the bullet and upgrade for $99 to an iPhone 5C. A little painful but much better in the long run.

I want to remove BAIDU from my Safari browser search engine choices. I read to go to "applications" select "toolbars" and select "uninstall Baidu" . The problem is "toolbars" is not on my list of "applications". How do I remove Baidu? I don't know how it got there. There is amazingly little on the web about this unwanted software regarding Safari. Also just noticed I repeated the same nonsense removal instructions you found. Sorry for being a parrot.
Couple of things to try.
1) Close Safari. Open the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder. Press Command+2 to change it to List view, then click Date Modified to sort them by time/date. Newest date should be at the top. If there's anything there with a date of just the past of couple of days, move it to the desktop. Launch Safari. Is it gone?
2) There are actually three folders named Internet Plug-Ins. Check the ones in the System folder, and in your user account Library folder. Again, looking for anything added just recently.
I saw the same page Linc posted to, but it didn't dawn on me at the time what the relation may be. Open the System Preferences and click on the Language & Region icon. If you see any Asian languages in the list as shown below. Highlight it and press the minus button to remove it. -

You aren't required to update to iOS 7 just simply ignore it.
There is no way to stop the update from showing it's availability.
If you choose not to update to iOS 7 then you will never need to access the Software Updates section of the settings anyway. -

I have two apps on my Mac App Store that won't update no matter what I do.
One of them is not even mine. It shows a weird russian email address that does not belong to me.
The other one says "updated" but won't go away from the updates list no matter what I do (Reboots, etc).
How can I erase them? I need niether apps.

There are two things here. The first one is that the apps aren't of course hacked/pirated. The mac is of a friend of mine. She's 65 or something and has no idea on how to hack apps, plus, afaik, nobody else has access to her computer.
Secondly, the thing is that niether app shows at the app list, and we even made a find from a terminal window, and got no results of the apps.
It is a very strange behavoir and if somebody has a solution I'll be glad to hear it.
BTW, She just upgraded her machine to OS X 10.8.1, I'll check if the upgrad fixed the bug.

Must remove Ask search engine.
Dig this cats. Go to your Mozilla start up page. Go to Google home page. Then drag the Google Icon on the left side by the search bar over to the Icon of a home on the upper right side and Google will be restored as your home page. I hate you Ask.com, you were like a leach!

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file ''cookies.sqlite'' that stores the cookies is corrupted.
You can rename (or delete) '''cookies.sqlite''' (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete '''cookies.sqlite-journal''' and '''cookies.txt''', if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Sounds like you need to return your iPhone where you bought it and just pay the restocking fee and call it good.
