Downloaded iOS 7.1.2 on my iPhone 5. Now I can no longer use iMessage.
I have been having trouble with iMessages ever since I downloaded the new iOS update. When I try to re-establish my iMessages, there is a constant "Waiting for activation" stage. After trying to log in with my Apple ID for iMessage, I am given a message that it could not log in. I have checked the network connection. Help! lol.

Updated my ipod touch to ios 5.1 can no longer use iMessage. Help?
I updated my iPod Touch to the new ios 5.1 the other day and since then I am having trouble with my iMessage, th send button is constantly greyed out and when I select my other iphone/ipod imessage users it tells me that they are not registered with iMessage when they qute clearly are? I've looked at a number of forums and just cannot find any answers! I'm baffled!
If you are messaging an iPhone, you may use the phone-number of the iPhone to iMessage them without a problem. When you are attempting to connect to an iPod Touch or iPad, you must use an email address as that is how Apple can identify the iPhone. However, you have to be careful. This email might not be the email they use everyday or the email that is used as their Apple ID. They may have chosen to use a different email to associate specifically with iMessage. This should not have any dependence on the operating system (I am using iMessage on an iPod Touch 4th generation iOS 5.1 without a problem). However, you might be making some mistake in your procedure or there may be a bug in the iMessage tied with iOS 5.1 that was able to reach you but not me. I suggest that you, if your warranty has not expired, contact support for iPod Touch, for iPhone, or for iPad. If all else fails, you should make an appointment with an Apple Genius Bar for free!

I updated my sisters phone yesterday to ios 5.1 but after I did this it wouldn't recognise her sim card and the phone isn't unlocked or jailbroken. My phone is unlocked but not jailbroken and I have done all the updates before without a problem. Does this mean that if I update to ios 5.1 it wont lock my phone and will continue to work as normal?
That depends on where it came from and how it was "unlocked". Virgin is a supported carrier in France and in Canada.
If you are in France, then it could have been legitimately unlocked. Virgin France offers unlocking.
If you are in Canada, then it was definitely hacked to unlock it as they do not offer unlocking there. If it is a Canadian phone, you can't be supported here at all. Discussing hacked and jailbroken phones is forbidden by the terms of service. -

Leeflea.If you prefer the classic menu bar over the new combined Firefox menu, you can switch.
Tap the Alt key and choose
View menu > Toolbars > Menu Bar
That same menu area lets you show or hide your other toolbars.

There is no such thing as an iPhone 's3'. There is a 3G which can only be updated to iOS 4.2.1 and a 3GS which can be updated to iOS 6.1.3.

Can't get internet after downloading ios 7.1.1 on my iphone 4s.
This morning I downloaded ios 7.1.1 on my iphone 4s. Then none of my apps would connect to the internet. I reset networks, I was able to connect for a few minutes, but now I cannot. Wifi is detected and works, but my iphone is not connecting. I reset networks a second time to no avail. Please help.
I have been having the same issue (with both Wifi and Cellular Data) since I have Downloaded the IOS 7.1.1 update...
The applications show an error, "No Internet connection"..
Keep in mind that all of my other devices are using the same Wifi, and are working fine...

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

After downloading IOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5, my email messages are not coming through automatically. Before, my email messages would come through automatically and my iPhone would alert me each time an emial message was recevied. I now have to open my mail in-box and wait for my email messages to download. Do I need to reset or change my mail settings? This issue is delaying my abiliy to receive and respond to email messages in a timely manner.

JesseHi Chris. Thanks, for the suggestions re: my email issues. They were helpful and yes I did check all items you referenced. I even contacted Apple support and spent about 40 minutes on phone checking all settings. However, after all these efforts, my mail and calendar issues were not resolved. Apple Support finally recommended deleting the mail account and then reloading it - and it worked! I am now receiving my emails and calendar appts. in real time again.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone elest has a similar problem with mail/calendar after downloaing i.O.S. 8.1 onto iPhone 5.

I downloaded iOS 5.0.1 to my iPhone and all of my voicemails disappeared except for a few from the past week. Are they gone forever or is there a way to retrieve them?

If you mean you deleted the files from Pages on your phone whilst using iCloud, then yes they will disappear from Pages on your iPad too.
If you simply deleted the app from your phone, if you were using iCloud then they should not have disappeared from your iPad.
