Downloaded latest version Adobe Flash Player, Won't run.

D/L adobe flash player, windows 7, 32 bit, but computer won't run it.  Checked add-ons, registry, etc.  Any ideas???

Flash Player is a built-in component of Google Chrome, so there's nothing separate to download or manage.  It might be an easier option.

Otherwise, what browser are we talking about?  Do you have any add-ons like AdBlock Pro or Ghostery that might interfere with how Flash operates?

  • HT1338 cant download latest version of flash player please help

Can some one help me. I can't seem to view all my pics or videos. Because i do not have the latest version of
flash player. Now everytime i try to download it . It disappears,so basically it never downloaded. Can someone
    please help me..

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

  • Why would I have to download latest verison adobe flash player twice in one day when I already had?

I play a game called Castville and I play on Zynga.com on mozilla firefox.  About a week ago after
going into and playing castlville dozens of times I got a message saying I needed to download the latest verison of adobe flash even though I just downloaded it with no message or problem just moments before.  I had to leave and then went back in that is when I saw the message about the download.  The problem was I had to download it twice in one day one right after the other. I downloaded and I still had the same message well I downloaded again but I should have never had to download it all since it was already oin my computer now there are problems with the game and at the bottom of the screen I see
on occaison the abode flash sign flash or perhaps flicker once or twice and this it.  Since I downloaded it twice abode had been crashing I get this picture of a plug in unplugged and a line above that says that I have to reloaded the game.   So can someone please tell me why I had to download abode flash player twice in one day when I already had it and 2 why it is now causing the game I have been playing for a couple weeks before I downloaded twice to start sicking and sometimes crashing.     Please help
Adobe Flash player crash every 10 to 15 minutes in google chrome waterfox it has just started to sticking and then crashing.
Should uninstall waterfox and adobe flash player then reinstall?  I like waterfox better than google chrome.

You write "download" about a dozen times, but did you also install it?

  • Latest version of Flash Player won't install on Wind. 7 w/ firefox

have downloaded new version of adobe flash player but it will not install. I get a box that says "only a single instance of this application can run" What does this mean/what do I do about it?
(I've removed the old flash player)
    I am using a HP desktop w/ Windows 7 64-bit.

You seem to have Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 installed, according to the plugins scan done on the browser that used to post in this forum.

  • [Distorted Gateway Logo] Please Download Latest Version of Flash Player

I have been told that some type of malware/phishing software/virus causes the pop-up window shown below to appear after a few minutes of inactivity and that if any poor soul were to hit the OK button, the malware package will be delivered.
Avast, Malwarebytes, Advanced SystemCare, and Windows Defender have not been able to identify the culprit on my PC.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
    Thanks!

I found the Gateway Screensaver to be the source of the message. Either uninstall the Gateway Screensaver or install the latest Flash Player from Adobe. I chose to uninstall the Gateway Screensaver. There is currently an unpatched vulnerability in Flash. Flash has had at least three such unpatched vulnerabilities so far this year.
There are a few variations of Flash Player; ActiveX, plugin, and projector. ActiveX and plugin include an autoupdater, projector does not. The official download for ActiveX and plugin can be found at https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. The page will autodetect your OS and Browser to offer the appropriate variation for your browser and version for your OS. The Gateway Screensaver probably needs either the ActiveX or standalone. So visit the page with Internet Explorer (uncheck all the optional components) to install it, if the message goes away done.
If you still have the message you need the projector variation (formerly know as standalone player) which can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html where there are alot of links. Currently "Download the Flash Player projector" is the link you want. The downloaded file is the player itself not an installer. You will have to associate the Flash file type .swf with the flashplayer projector. I suggest copying the flashplayer file you downloaded to a location like a folder at c:/flashplayer/ with a name of flashplayer.exe to permit updating without having to reassociate the file type .swf for every new version. Associate the filetype by searching for .swf from the start button, click on one of the .swf files, choose browse when the open with window opens, find the flashplayer folder and the flashplayer.exe  check the always use box then click open then click ok. Very important, you will have to update this file manually, there is no automatic updater.

  • Have downloaded latest version of Flash Player but still can't view portfolio documents - Help?

Just see grey screen and no documents are visible.   Has anyone else encountered this?

Nobody has mentioned any operating system.
On Windows there are two Flash Player installers:
the ActiveX installer, which installs the add-on for Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, etc.
the Plugin installer, which installs the add-on for other browsers, Adobe Reader, etc.

  • HT5271 Downloaded latest Apple updates that informed me old versions of Adobe Flash Player were disabled and advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before.

Downloaded latest Safari update that informed me that older versions of Adobe Flash Player were being disabled and then advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before. (Instead of opening, it comes up as a page of code).

    Hi..
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
    Click:  Delete All
    Now select the Storage tab.
    Click Delete All
    Relaunch Safari to test.

  • Download and install newest version but still get error - "requires latest version of flash player"

I keep getting a message that something won't work because the latest version of flash player needs to be installed.  I go through the download and install for flash player but still get the message.  After the install I never get any setup steps.  I have tried uninstalling what ever version of flash player is on my computer before the download and install but it doesn't help.
I also tried to delete Adobe photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 but I could not get it to work. I get a message that "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."

Removed your phone numbers as I'm assuming you don't want these posted on a public forum.
Can you try going through the steps outlined in the two faq's below.  Also, where you able to go to the Flash Player Version page and see both the animation and flash player version number displayed?

  • I downloaded the latest version of flash player, not working?

I just got my computer back from being fixed and I'm redownloading everything I need.
I have a Mac OS X Version 10.7.5 and i downloaded the latest version of flash player for it. It appears to be installed because there's a window opens up saying "Thank you, enjoy flash player." or something like that after I have downloaded the flash player.
I've tried several times and I STILL can't watch videos or do things that require flash player.
I went to my system preferences, clicked on Flash Player and went to the advanced bar, and it says "Plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed."
However, when i go to this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
And I click the "Check Now" button to see if flash player has been installed onto my computer, it says:
"Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled.
    Please go to step 2."
And so I did and downloaded it AGAIN. I only saw the same thing after i reloaded the page and tried again.
I do not have an anti-virus program, so it can't be that.
    Is the flash player enabled?
How do I check if it's enabled/enable it?

It's usually in your browser's Tools section.

  • For the past week, I am unable to view videos. The page comes up with this comment: "Blocked plug-in" and it suggests that I download the latest version of Flash player. I have downloaded that and still get the same comment. Please help.
