Downloaded Lightroom 4.3 update ,lost files

Updated my preivous copy of Ligtroom 4.2 to 4.3 when I opened lightroom 4.3 it was a new copy without any of my previous catalogs or images. Where I can I locate my images from 4.2 and how to trnsfer into 4.3? Thanks for help..

Marcello, I am having the same problem. When following the advice of many in the community to start iTunes in 32-bit mode, I get the following error after I have done so:
I am running 10.9.2 on a mac mini.
I am hoping this will be fixed or at least a solid answer could be given that iTunes will no longer support certain types of media going foward.

How can I download lightroom 4.3 update?

I have Lightroom 4, version 4.1 and have searched for updates. I get to the page on Adobe's web site for the Lightroom update version 4.3 but I can't find out how to download it. There is nothing to click on to actually download it, just a lot of information about the update and the various license and user agreements etc. It doesn't make any difference if I am logged in to Adobe or not, I get the same pages. Can anyone tell me how to download the update please?

I just tried it and was able to get to the download interface after the type of repetitive activity I described....
1) At the top of the page select the desired software from the dropdown list and click the Go button
2) Scroll down the resulting page until you get to the expanded Downloads section where the 4.3 update link is at the top - click that link
3) Scroll down the resulting page until you get to the expanded Downloads section where the "Proceed to Download" link is - click that link
4) Scroll down the resulting page until you get to the expanded Downloads section where the "Download Now" link is - click that link
The download interface should be opened at this point. I don't need the download so I didn't try further.

How/where can I download Lightroom 5.5 Update ?

My standalone (not Cloud !) Lightroom on my Windows PC tells me I can/should update to Version 5.5. I have been thrashing around through a jungle of Adobe webpages in an attempt to download that version. The nearest I get is an invitation to download a Trial version which (a) I don't want and (b) leads me on to questions about my skill level etc. Other pages seem to be obsessed with "Cloud solutions" but I want the standalone version. I am beginning to suspect that I am deliberately being led up a garden path here with the objective of getting me to convert to Cloud.
Does anyone here know where there is a simple one-click link which will allow me to download the Lightroom 5.5 Windows Update ?

PROBLEM NOW SOLVED even if the solution leaves me puzzled.
I use Firefox as my default browser.
When I fire up my Lightroom 5.4 like yours - it more or less immediately comes up with the window

and at the bottom right of that window there is a Download button. However, when I click on that it takes me in Firefox to Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 but when I select "Lightroom" on that page it takes me to Photo editor app | Download free Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 trial which contains acres of Lightroom ads but no "Download" button apart from the "Free trial".
I looked around to see whether my Firefox is blocking something but no success there. I also tried it with Windows IE by copy-pasting the URL from the Firefox browser tab to Windows IE. Same useless result as with Firefox.
Then, doggedly determined to try everything on an arbitrary basis, I changed my default browser to Windows IE and re-clicked on the Download button at the bottom right. Bingo ! Problem solved ! The old familiar Lightroom download page popped up in the IE browser, I clicked on Download, and it is now busily downloading.
So the SOLUTION for my Windows PC/Internet Explorer/Firefox setup but possibly not of use to others is to run IE as the default browser for the purposes of updating Lightroom. I have no idea why that works and copy-pasting the URL to IE doesn't but, heck, it works for me. As a senior surgeon once said to me "Don't think, my boy, it only inhibits !".

The Canon 5D Mk 111 was supported from LR 4.1, see the link below. Just update LR to the latest version. See link below

It's a catch 22. I think Adobe still had my old email address, which I have deleted with Comcast.
Therefore, Adobe cannot send me a change of password form, nor can I update my email.

If I need to sign in to get responses, I cannot do that either. Adobe reports an error if I use my old address.

I was able to download the Lightroom 5.6 update without any errors. If you continue to face difficulties you may want to try a different Internet connection or download the update onto a USB drive on a different computer.

Is there any collective way to have Lightroom 5 find lost files?

Though I have tried to move folders and files only with Lightroom, I note that a good number of my images shown in thumbnails in Library cannot be opened because Lightroom 5 cannot find the files. I assume I have moved files among drives accidentally without Lightroom's knowledge. I also note that I can control click and try to find individual files. Is there any way to do this find process for entire folders or drives? Can I import files from a drive (which is the original source of the lost files) in mass and run them through the import function on Lightroom and return them directly to the file from which they were imported? Would this create a new thumbnail in Library but duplicate the files in the affected folder and drive?

Lightroom isn't going to allow you to import images a second time. In the left-hand panel of the library module you can Ctrl-click on a folder and choose to update the folder location or find the missing folder. Have you tried that?

First result Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there. Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I have two iCloud contact files shown in outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud". 1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere. This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!

You can safely assume that I have tried using it!   So, to make things a little clearer:
     1) I now have two iCloud "contacts files", w/ a different total count. What's the difference? Why the different toatl count?
     2) Since re-installing the Apple software (part of the MSVCR" recovery instructions) "couldn't possible affected Outlook", why am I getting an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere. What's in those files? And where are they?
Probably more important questions get down to:
     3) Why is a basic Apple product upgrade "screwing-up Outlook"? This iTunes upgrade, failing to install properly forced Outlook 2007 into a 2-min start-up cycle. Which was fixed with this "Goat-Rpdeo" of re-installing MSVCR80.dll.
     4) And under the latest release of iOS-7.0.4 on our iPhones, why is Apple now forcing us to use the iCloud to back-up our contacts, calendars & tasks, vs. allowing these files to be backed-up directly on our PC's via the USB cable?

DNG files do not contain some metadata supplied by the camera, which can be used by the manufacturer's software. Thus, if you don't keep the original Raw photo, you will lose this information.
If your 1000% sure you're never going to use the manufacturer's software, then this isn't a problem. But who can be sure what software you will be using 10 years from now?

Trying my hardest to download lightroom with no luck no matter what i update. Will Lightroom 5 run on Vista?

I currently have Windows Vista. I know its an old system but bare with me. I am trying to download the trial of lightroom to see if its what im looking for as I dont want to spend the money but be let down. Every time i try it says i am running an operation system thats no longer supported by Adobe. These are my computer specs.Windows vista home premium 2007.

At the moment yes, I am unable to upgrade for the time being. I managed to download lightroom 4.4 but figured out quickly it doesn't have a lot of the features I need for editing portraits. Do you by any chance know a photoshop equivalent version trial I could download? I am going to buy whichever one works best after trying for a day, but I just don't want to spend the money and be let down really. I need to know which one will work best for what I'm doing.
