Downloaded Microsoft Office 365.  Wanted to use files originally done on Windows Word to my Ipad word app.  How do I get documents from a Windows source--even through someting like dropbox--into my i pad so I can work on them?

How can I use document such as word or excell docs from my home windows based computer  in my office 364 ipad word or excell app that I downloaded for my ipad...   any suggestions out there?.

I presume you have already downloaded the free M.S. office apps to use with your 365 subscription?   (Even if you haven't there are several other apps that will read these as well - )
You can get the documents onto your pad several different ways.
1. easiest for a single document is to simply e mail to your self.  In mail, tap the attachement once to cause it to down load.  then touch and hold the attachment until the 'open in ' box pops up, and choose the app you want to se.  The document will be saved with that app.
for a loy of docs, it is easier to use the sharing system in I tunes, at the very bottom of the app tab.  Drag and drop the docs you want to move back and forth.
Or use the clound.  Dropbox works fine.  Get the app in the store.
To send them back out - reverse the process.

  • How do I get documents from iCloud into iPad?

I can't figure out how to get Page documents that I moved from iMac to iCloud to sync with iPad.

Settings app > Pages > Use iCloud (turn it ON)
Also check to see that iCloud is turned on in general for the phone and that you are signed in (Settings App > iCloud)

  • HT201302 How do i get photos from my old iphone saved on a flashdrive to upload to itunes so that i can get them back on my new iphone?

So I needed to get a new iphone because my old one had a broken lock button and it was in my warranty that i could get a new one for free so i did. Knowing that, before the switch of phones i downloaded all of my pictures and videos onto my dell laptop under windows photo gallery thinking that i could transfer them back onto my new iphone once i got it. I thought that i knew how to do this but i guess i dont. i uploaded all of the photos from my laptop onto a new flashdrive i just bought hoping that i could some how transfer the photos to my desktop computer that has itunes on it. i was also unsuccessful in doing this so now i have no idea what to do! please help!

You need to put the folder of pictures somewhere on the computer that contains iTunes. After connecting the phone to the computer, selecting the phone and looking in iTunes, go to the Photos tab and select these photos and sync.

  • New firefox install. Setting up sync, used correct email but wrong password. New account was created. How do I get sync from the old account?

I did a re-install of Firefox. When setting up the sync, I accidentally created a new account on the e-mail I was using for sync. The system did not prompt me that this account is already in use. Now there is a new sync data set up on this account.
How can I access the sync data that was previously linked to this e-mail address?

This is the proper method to update your Sync account for the new Sync, aka '''FxA'''.
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-update-to-the-new-firefox-sync
Unfortunately the data in the old version of that account was overwritten when you accidentally created a new account using the same "username" / email address.
Are you certain that you used the same exact email address?

  • Can't move "completed" items into folders using Outlook 2013 on a Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium Account using a work Exchange 2010 address

I've been in touch with several Microsoft support teams about this issue, and the latest move was to shove me off onto Pro support, but since I'm using a personal Office account, I'm hoping that through the community I can find a way to resolve this issue without
escalating through our IT department. I do not think this is an Exchange issues because I have previously used this product and method without resulting in this error on a Windows 7 32-bit AMD computer and a Windows 8 and 8.1 Professional 64-bit Intel computer.
    Here's my current specs:
    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, service pack 1
    AMD A6-5400 3.6 GHz
    8GB RAM
    Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium
    Office updates automatically, version 15.0.4551.1512
About Outlook shows "Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.4551.1511) MSA (15.0.4551.1508) 32-bit/Part of Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium"
Here's how to reproduce the issue:
    1) Open View Settings
    2) Select "Other Settings..."
    3) Disable "Use compact layout in widths smaller than XX characters" and enable "Always use single-line layout"
    4) Select "Columns..."
    5) Under "All Mail fields" add "In folder"
    6) Select any email
    7) Context-menu -> Find Related -> Emails in this Conversation
    8) Select "more"
    9) Sort by folder
    10) Select all messages from Inbox.
    11) Use Outlook's preset "Done" function and select a destination folder
    12) Watch Outlook fail to run "Done" and reset your UI without producing an error.
The first attempt to resolve this issue was to set up a new Outlook profile. This seemed to exacerbate the problem and resulted in Outlook providing an "Unknown error" before resetting the UI.
The second attempt to resolve this issue was to run "outlook.exe /resetnavpane". However, the nav pane does not appear immediately relevant to this issue.
The following similar steps also result in a crash, this time with an error:
    11) Flag all select message as Complete.
    12) Move all messages from Inbox to a destination folder.
This change in procedure results in the error "Cannot move the items. Some items cannot be moved. They were either already moved or deleted, or access was denied."
Help me, Microsoft Community. You're my only hope.

Import the calendar and contacts in Outlook.com. For contacts, export from Outlook as csv and import into Outlook by choosing the Other option (https://people.live.com/import/other?biciid=ImportCatalog)
You'll need to save the calendar as an ics file to import it. Select the calendar folder, the File, Save as an save as an ics.

  • I downloaded microsoft office to my MBP and my question is how do i get the right file or operating system to open it and so that i can use it?

i downloaded microsoft office to my MBP and my question is how do i get the right file or operating system to open it and so that i can use it?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
There are two Office versions: Office for Windows, and Office for Mac.
I suspect that you have downloaded Office for Windows, and you can use it if you install Windows, but a cheaper and easiest way to use Office is to use Office for Mac, so you won't have to install Windows. See > http://www.microsoft.com/mac

  • Can i download microsoft office for my macbook pro?

Is it possible for me to download microsoft office 2010 for my macbook pro? i keep trying but it will not let me download

    Hi luvbigbang
As Kappy has said, you can download Office for Mac 2011 from the Microsoft website at http://www.microsoft.com/mac
This can be done right away under their free 30 day trial offer.
Assuming that you then want to keep the software by buying a properly licenced version, you can take your time and shop around during those 30 days to find the same version (ie Home and Student or Home and Business) at the cheapest available price.
Good sources for discounts will vary depending upon where you're based, but Amazon (.com / .co.uk) is often a good place to try. You can then simply enter the licence code from your purchased product to fully activate the version that you've already downloaded as a trial.

  • I've downloaded Microsoft Office 2011 and installed it, but i can't find it on my applications or open it up in my downloads

I've downloaded Microsoft Office 2011 and installed it, but i can't find it on my applications or open it up in my downloads. I can I get my microsoft up and running? - New to Mac

Did you actually run the installer? If so, there should be a Microsoft Office 2011 folder in your Applications folder. Have you checked there and confirmed that the folder does not exist? If it does not, try running the Office installer again. Note that if all you did is open the disk image file, you have to now go to the image (which looks like a drive in Finder) and then run the installer.
    Regards.

  • When I open a link to a doc file, it opens in Microsoft Office 2010 as a .bmp file. I opened Firefox options to change what application should be used to open doc files, but it only gives me the option of the general Microsoft Office, not Microsoft Word.

This did not happen on my laptop when I installed the Microsoft Office home & student edition, and my laptop also has Windows 7 and I use Firefox. Please help!

  • Why can't I download Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 from my disk?

I have recently purchased my new Imac and find that I can't download Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 from my disk?  Why isn't this supported?

Because it is a Windows version of MS Office. You will need a Mac version, such as listed below.
