Downloaded music unable to be found on computer

I just downloaded a bunch of music to I-Tunes. After I put them on my nano little "!" symbols appeared next to all of my songs. A repeated message kept popping up saying that the library could not be saved because it could not locate the folder. I have searched the computer and hard drive high and low and can't find the folder or any of the music. I've also tried all the extentions .m4p ect.It says the "My Music" folder is the default. That folder is nowhere to be found as well.I had not backed up my music yet either as I just downloaded it. Have I lost all of my music????

A couple of things to try that I remember doing when I was trying to fix my problem:
- Make sure the setup project has "target platform" property set to the same target as the "platform" entries that you changed on each of your projects. It's no good setting all of your projects to expect x86 dlls if you install the x64 ones!
- Make sure you are installing the project by running the setup.exe rather than the .msi file that is generated after compiling. Apparently there's an issue whereby the registry entry for nianlys.dll isn't created on Windows Vista.
- Follow the directions on this page for "special considerations". Nianlys.dll has a dependency on nimetautils.msm, and for that to be properly installed you need a system folder entry and a programfiles folder entry in your setup project, apparently. http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372636F-01/mstudiowebhelp/html/netmergemodules/

Everytime I download music to my itunes on my computer and plug in my Iphone 4 it nevers downloads the music to the phone..

If you want to drag and drop then you would have to select Manually Manage Music.
    Otherwise, just sync your music.

  • Hi- I am trying to download music to my ipod from my computer. I have an itunes account and the music is on my computer but won't download to the ipod. It is telling me I need to download software but for some reason the software won't download.

Hi- I am trying to download music from my computer to my ipod. I have an itunes account and the music is on the computer but it won't go to ipod, it keeps telling me I need to download an upgrade but the upgrade does not complete itself and after like 2 hours displays an error sign. How do I fix this so I can get the music to my ipod. Both ipod and computer(toshiba, windows 7) are brand new. Help!! I am not technologically smart!

I suspect that you are saying that you can't download/install the latest version of iTunes.
All I can say is try removing and reinstalling the Apple software using the following:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have further problems with installing Itunes I suggest you post in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem.  Also report the wording of any error messages. What they say is importent on resolving them.

  • I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation that I have not updated since purchase.  I have downloaded music from iTunes from an old computer that I can no longer access, and my "old" music in not currently on my new computer.  Will I lose my music if I update?

I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation and have not updated the software since I purchased it.  When I first purchased the iPod Touch, I synced it with an old computer and an older version of iTunes.  I no longer have access to the old computer and no access to the older music I downloaded onto the old computer.  If I update the software for my iPod, will I lose all of my music that is currently on the iPod?

Since your updating from iOS 4 to iOS 6, you will most likely lose your songs, but if songs were purchased from iTunes, you can try this:
Downloading past purchases from App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You can redownload from iTunes on your iTouch, if running iOS 5 or better.

  • How to download music from iPhone to iTunes on computer

I have been trying to download my music from my phone to my new itunes. How do I accomplish this?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss.  To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • I want to download music from Iphone 4 to my computer

I had to re-install my OS on my computer.  I had my music backed up.  After getting my PC working, I installed ITunes and added my backup folder to the library.  I seems I have music on my phone that is not in my ITunes nor on my PC.
I would to download the music from my IPhone 4 to ITunes or better to a folder on my PC.

    Hello!
The article linked below details how to go about transferring music that you've purchased (but may not be in iTunes on your computer) from your iPhone to iTunes.
