Downloaded new ios 7.0.4, now i phone 5 is in recovery mode and wont come out.

So i downloaded the new ios download 7.0.4 and my phone restarted and went straight into recovery mode, everytime i try to restore the settings with i-tunes a message appears saying 'the i-phone could not be restored. an unknown error has occured (3194)' what does this mean and how can it be fixed? Would the apple shop genius be able to resolve this problem as it occured while downloading the new software?

Try Restoring it 3 times in a row and see if that works.
If not that error can indicate one of two things: Your iPhone was at one time jailbroken, had the iOS version rolled back, or ran an unauthorized beta and if none of those things are true it is a hardware error.

I tried to update the ios today, and it decided to update it to 6.1.3 instead of 7, I didn't think there would be a problem, so I clicked ok. When I came to check on my phone, itunes said there was an error with the update, and my phone was in recovery mode (plug-in sign on the screen). I looked up multiple things to try, I tried putting it in DFU mode, still itunes doesn't see it. The computer also doesn't list it under devices, however when it is plugged in the Apple Mobile Support USB Driver shows up in device manager. Thank you SO very much for posting this. I had the exact issue with my iPad Mini after the same upgrade. Hard reset failed, computer would not recognize iPad. I had read all the other instructions and nothing worked.... YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME - with a slight variation.
I followed your lead and connected my iPad Mini to another computer, fired up iTunes, it saw the iPad Mini in Restore Mode and allowed me to go into Restore (yes, it wiped all of the data but I have a back up on the other computer that would not see it after the failed update). It installed the latest iOS 7.1.2 as well. I then disconnected it from that computer, reconnected it to the computer that would not see it prior and it then saw it as a new iPad and allowed me to Restore my backup and now it's all good!
I detailed my steps only because you downloaded the previous version - 7.1.1 whereas I downloaded the latest version (7.1.2) and then restored my back up.

I'm having an issue with downloading and updating apps on my iphone 4. It did not start immediately after updating to iOS 5.1. Just started a couple of days back and is driving me nuts. Any apps that I have tried to update or install new apps will go under the waiting mode and wont do anything. I've tried to delete some of them and re-installed but like the others have mentioned in other post the app installation again goes under waiting and nothing happens.
I've checked my settings and I've tried several restarts on the phone but still no good.
Any suggestions???

I downloaded and updated the phone with the iOS6, but then an error occurred saying that the phone can't be updated. It then turned into recovery mode and suggests that the only way to use the phone is if I restore it.. which I really can't do! I still have lots of photos..
Please, I regret not having backing up just in case, but is there any way to somehow 'undo' the recovery mode and bring it back to normal (regardless of which iOS it has)? Please, I really would appreciate a solution, any solution.

What's wrong with you guys.. you must ALWAYS back it up before anything major like this.
If it's not too late, and i do not know if this will work or not.. but download something like TinyUmbrella or any program that will allow you to kick it out of Recovery Mode and back to regular. May or may not work but worth a shot.
