Downloaded new version and bookmarks tool bar shows no icons; icons are present in Toolbar in bookmarks menu. Help.
Bookmarks toolbar shows only blank. Can not get any bookmarks to appear on the toolbar.
After trying pretty much every fix out there I found a solution. Trash all the contents in the Preferences folder inside Library and restart. Hope it helps.

I was prompted to download newest version of itunes, which I did and the restarted the computer. Now it says itunes is currupted or installed wrong. What do I do so that I don't loose my music and apps.
Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

Downloaded new version and browser will not open
After i had dowloaded new version of Firefox. I go to icon to open browser and nothing happens. It spins like it is going to open and then Nothing. I goto task manager and there is a process firefox.exe running but I browser window never opens

Everything seems to go as planned according to the steps on the screen except for the last one dragging the icon over the file folder.
Download the new version you want with other browsers like IE (Windows), Safari (Mac) and remove the last version. Then install the package you downloaded.

Error when downloading new version and now it can't be found?
Please help me with this issue, i have had this problem for some time, but now it has gotten worse. What i mean is i used to still be able to get on iTunes by contecting my ipod to the computer, but now that will not even work. I tryed re-intalling and upgrading. But when i try to launch it from the desktop icon it sais it can not be found. I tryed to update it, and reinstall as i said above, and when i do.. it gives me an error, i took a snapshot to give as much detail as possible.

Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
Trying to download newest version and after prompted to drag the Firefox icon into the Applications folder get message that task can't be completed bc Firefox is in use, but only use I'm making of Firefox is to have it open to download the newest version.
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

Which version of the OS is installed, and which version are you trying to install?
You could try starting up with Startup Manager and see if it will allow you to select the OS X install disc as the startup disk. If so, maybe you can proceed from there. I would recommend repairing the hard drive first since you are evidently having a bit of a problem with it.
