Downloaded photoshop with CC on iMac, it doen't open due to" technical problem"?

Installed CC, payed for Photoshop, downloaded the programme, did update and when I want to start working it says:" impossible to initialise PS error in the program". Deinstalled the programme and downloaded everything again: same result. I work on a recent iMac with OSX version 10.9.4 What can be the matter?

reset your preferences by holding down option/cmd/shift during pse startup. you'll see a confirmation dialog if done correctly.

Lets clear a couple of things up first.
1, You have the Photographers CC subscription which gives you access to PSCC and the current version of Lightroom.
2. PSCC does not include Lightroom.
Now what you will need to do is delete the Lightroom app on your iMac and restart the Mac. Then you can d/load Lightroom from the CC app.

I try to start the download from my Firefox12. (The same way I did when I successfully downloaded InDesign.) Adobe Downloader starts. (I also tried starting the Downloader beforehand, to no avail.) Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes I get as far as to be asked where I want the program to be installed. Then the download won't start and a little grey sentence tells me to sign in again do Adobe Downloader, which I had of course done before to get thus far.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I tried to choose the file /adobe that I downloaded InDesign into as well
as /program files (x86).
I do not get any specific error messages.
The download simply will not start.
I use Windows7, by the way.

Hi,
If you have the suite then you have to download the whole suite otherwise the Serial Number will not work, if you only download Photoshop. Once you download the suite you can choose to only install Photoshop and use the Serial number you have.

**You can change it to MAC App store and identified developers afterwards.

It does sound like you downloaded the Windows version. OS X doesn't know what to do with file and just opens it up in Text. You can download the Mac version directly from C/NET - Download.com:

Downloading Photoshop with Creative Cloud...

I am trying to download Photoshop CS6 with Creative Cloud, after purchasing Creative Cloud full version. However, when it takes me to Adobe Manager it says Photoshop is 'up to date' and doesn't allow me to click the 'install' option as the others. I have downloaded and carried out a 30 day trial on Photoshop CS6 previously, so don't know if this has affected installation. I am also unsure if I am properly connected with the Creative Cloud, after purchasing Creative Cloud on Tuesday 2nd April. As when I go to order status it states it is shipped and with 'download' option, which takes me to the Adobe Manager, where I then face the problem stated above.
Please advise how I can resolve this issue and download/ install the full Photoshop CS6 version onto my Mac.

funny that the first option is to uninstall the up-to-date program in question, when the title of the article states the problem to be that the program is not installed to begin with. It's very hard to uninstall a program that isn't there!
number two didn't work, and i've tried number three more than a few times. I'll get to number four today (the cleaner). I suspect that the manager is not uninstalling OR installing correctly. It just spins on the home tab, and never fully uninstalls, though that could just be sloppy programming. I always have to go into the task manager and stop a process manually. Last time, i tried extracting it from the registry prior to reinstall, but that didn't work either. I have no current or previous installations of the "up-to-date" program on this drive. But i did have CS5 designer suite installed on the previous drive C, which is now drive E. Could that be the problem? Drive C is a brand new SSD, the motherboard was just replaced and windows was reinstalled onto a clean drive, the same drive to which i am installing CC manager.

I have downloaded some apps on this Imac. When I open them, it says they were downloaded on another computer. After I try to sign in it says my computer can't be verified. Any ideas?

Like I said, I downloaded some Apps onto this Imac. When I try to use them it says that they were purchased on another computer. That said, I don't have another computer. It will then ask for my to sign in with my apple id and password. When I put those in, it says that the computer can not be verified. Contact apple support. I don't have apple care and can't exactly afford to buy it at this time. Anyone know how to resolve this issue??

Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.

Help with downloading Photoshop CS5.1 on iMac

I just bought a new iMac, and I am unsure of what to do with photoshop and lightroom. I have bought and downloaded both of them in the last year and a half through the education discount store, and they are on my laptop. I have older versions of both of these products.
I've only downloaded each of them on one computer (my laptop), but I can't find a way to transfer them to my iMac. I can't download CS5.1 or Lightroom 3 from Adobe, I figured if I could them I could just use the same serial number since you are supposed to be able to download them onto two different computers.
I would really appreciate some help!

What does "my laptop" mean? If it is a Windows machine, then there is no way to use your PS on a Mac - serials are platform specific. Buy a new license of PS for your Mac then. LR is cross-platform, on the other hand. You should have no problems installing it on both machines. Downloads can be found using this method:

Is there a Window's Media Player download compatible with the INTEL iMacs?

I tried downloading MWP for Mac OSX and the file name was Windows Media.sitx and I couldnt do anything with that. I also tried downloading Windows Media Components for quicktime but it said it wasnt compatible with intel Macs.
Any suggestions?

Although Microsoft no longer supports it, WMV9 for OSX works on the intel machine, running under Rosetta. That .sitx file you download can be uncompressed with the free Stuffit Expander for intel:

Alternatively, you can download the Popwire components for intel Mac, which allow WMV files to play in native Quicktime (7.0.4 and below only) or Flip4Mac, which will do the same, although only by running your Quicktime Player in Rosetta, as F4M has not released a universal version as of yet.

There is no Linux version of Photoshop. Unless you have a Linux virtual PC that runs MacOS (Unix) or Windows it will do you nod good to download Windows Photoshop or Macintosh Photoshop.

It sound like you download and install Photoshop CC 2014 on some machine running some operating system at some level and there is a problem with your environment configuration. Photoshop often fails when you don't have a good environment configuration. Make sure your OS is up to date all the fixes are installed and most important you have a supported Display adapter with at least 512MB of Vram and the latest manufacturer's System Device Driver installed. If you look at you system crash reports for your Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working crashes you will most likely see that the crashes are happening in your Display's device driver.

The more information you supply about your situation, the better equipped other community members will be to answer. Consider including the following in your question:
Adobe product and version number
Operating system and version number
The full text of any error message(s)
What you were doing when the problem occurred
