Downloaded ringtones to microSD card but can't figure out how to use them
I downloaded a bunch of ringtones and I can find them if I go to "Files/ringtones" on my microSD card, but when I try to use one in Settings/sounds/phone ringtone they are not there. I can't figure out how to use them. Can anyone help?? Thanks!
When I go to Music app, the ringtones aren't in the list of artists/songs. They are stored in the ringtones folder so I don't think they would show up in the Music app.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

I had been without a system to dump pictures, music, etc. on for months and haven't done a back up in a while. I want to update to iOS 8 but I want to back up my contacts. My iCloud storage was full, but shouldn't be anymore, however none of my contacts show up when I log in to iCloud. I have no idea what I'm doing and am pretty illiterate with this stuff. Can someone explain how to get my contacts to copy so I have them backed up?
The default account setting only determines the account that new contacts are added to by default. Changing it to iCloud won't move rhe contacts in the other accounts to iCloud, although if you add a new contact now it will be added to iCloud.
I can give you the steps to copy the contacts from your other accounts to iCloud so the will all sync using iCloud, but I'm running an errand right now so will have to reply back in about 45 min. -

You can open Acrobat and select the key F1. That should open the help menu (it should be local on your hard drive). It is also the first item listed in the help menu. If you prefer, you can open the full manual in PDF form from http://help.adobe.com/archive/en_US/acrobat/9/professional/acrobat_pro_9.0_help.pdf. The manual is over 500 pages long and gives you a lot of information. There is a getting started section at the end of Chapter 1.
However, at this point it might be worth asking what your expectation is for AA 9, similar to Anoop's question. A lot of folks try to use Acrobat for things it is not designed to do, though it may do them, and they get disappointed. So expectations can be a big factor. A general statement might be that the primary purpose of Acrobat and associated software is to create PDF representations of documents from other applications that you can share with others (most folks can read PDF files anymore). After the creation, there are a number of tools that can be used to enhance the use of the PDF, including form fields, security (for what it is), and minor editing.

Downloads - I want to open some PDFs/other file types from the internet but not have to save them. I can't figure out how to view them and close them without having to save them first. When I click on a file, the downloads box opens and depending on the setting, it auto saves the file or asks me where to save the file. What if I don't want to save it anywhere, I just want to view it and close it?

How do i synch my pdf/books to my Itunes library. I was able to synch my ipod touch app purchases by transferring them but can't figure out how to do my pdfs. Also why is my ipod picture greyed out-the one that lets my move the icons around.
I am afraid if i don't get the pdfs into my book library, i will lose them when i update to IOS 5-is that true?thank you-i have to check into the authorization and the account-i gave my husband my old ipod when i updated last year so both at one time have been on this computer but as it stands, it only comes up with my device when i plug into Itunes.
i don't think i have any restrictions for installing apps although my normal way of doing it is to download from the ipod touch. i did find that all i had to do was right click on my device name and got the message to transfer my apps and then they showed up in my library. Also when i clicked the synch checkbox i was able to view the ipod touch picture without it being greyed out. after all that i was able toupdate to IOS 5 successfully except my videos and podcast, and pdfs did not come over. This confuses me since i had dragged them over to my library to make sure that i had everything in my library and on my device. Not a big problem, since i just dragged them in itunes from my library to my device but sometimes i wonder if i understand the big picture:) -
How do I move a movie I have synced from iTunes into the "Movies" tab of the Video App? I need to access a slideshow I made in IMovies and may not have WiFi. I did it once, but can't figure out how to do it again! The file is an m4v. Thank you!
Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.

After you restore from backup, you MUST sync to restore your iTunes content. No iTunes content is included in the iPhone backup. Your apps should be in your iTunes library, just sync them back to your phone. If for some reason your apps are not in your library, you can re-download them for free:

How to remove stocks, weather,clock, notes, reminders, youtube, game center calc, voice memos,calendar, maps, and stocks? As a person who blew 300 bucks I think I should have a choice if I want to remove this crap but can't figure out how.
any help would make me happy. As it stands now from looking on the web it can't be deleted but making sure before i return this ipod touch. I wan't a clean item the way I wan't it and not how they want it. LouI have a similar problem: I switched from mac mail to Outlook 2011 as the default client, and want to switch back. Mailto links (eg from browser etc) default to Mail. However, when I try to email a Word document as an attachment, it continues to open Outlook. Outlook has a button in its prefs for making it the default client, but I don't see a way to turn this pref off in either Outlook or in Word.
