I've rented a movie on my iMac computer in iTunes.
When I would watch the movie on my Appel TV, I could not find the movie in my "buy Folder".
It surprised me when I buy / rent a movie in iTunes on the same account (Appel ID). So iTunes can not handle on what device I want to see my movie.
I have now paid the same movie twice what I think is unfair.

If you are speaking of an iTunes purchase, you will need to contact iTunes Customer Service and explain the situation. Their written policy is kinda cold, in that they say they don't issue refunds for erroneous purchases, but I have found them to be a bit more understanding and helpful than that.
Start by calling Apple at 1-800-275-2273 (if in the US) and ask to be connected to iTunes Customer Service.

Yes you will be charged twice. Movies are not included in the free downloads of the iCloud downloading past purchases feature.
You can plead your case with the iTunes Store and see if they will remove the charges since this happenend when you were updating the device, but they are under no obligation to do so. However, it does not hurt to try.

I believe you are only charged once you start watching. If so, problem solved.

Is it possible to d/l the same app twice? (and pay twice of course).
DH has discovered he loves angry birds but so do I, so I don't want him playing my game (lol) but when I tried to purchase again it says 'installed'.

I have the 8gig iPod touch 4gen (if that make any difference at all)

I recently installed my 5.1 beta 3 on my iPhone 4 and it wiped out everything on my phone. I didn't have any recent backups so I didn't back up my phone, I set it up as a "new iPhone". Am I going to be charged again for the apps I download if I use the same iTunes/Apple ID? Why is itunes download so slow on apple tv (3 days now) but I can download same movie to computer instantly? What has changed?

I rented a movie via itunes on my apple tv 3 days ago. I still cannot view it on my television. I have checked all internet connections, routers, speedtests..etc and have come to the conclusion that it is simply the itunes download on apple tv. I can view netflix no problem on the same apple box.
I now have downloaded the same movie to my computer and am watching almost instantly. What is happening here? I used to rent movies on itunes via apple tv and get almost instant streaming now it's incredibly slow!

It doubful thats its your PC per se, alot of people are reporting the store being alittle on the slow side.
It won't last long, its just apple make all these changes 3-4 days ago, a week or 2 they will have it all str8.
You can overlook your network setup tho, make sure the connection isn't looping around thru ports on the router and slowing you down. I doubt thats it tho, iTUnes increased the resolution of there video, so in turn the files are bigger. This is why iTUnes now has a download manager in it so you can pause things when needed

If you are in the U.S., you can re-download the movie without having to pay for it again - for a purchased movie.
Other than that, you need to get a non-crap computer so the movie can be available in your iTunes library on your computer to transfer to each device and to remove the movie from each device if wanted or needed without having to delete the movie.

ITunes keeps downloading same movie

I just did a clean install on my Mac mini to clean out old unwanted files. When I got to the point of redownloading all my iTunes purchases I checked to see if everything was downloaded and it keeps showing that 1 movie and 1 tv show need downloading yet they already are downloaded both SD and HD. Why do these videos not go away under the Not on my Computer tab once downloaded?

I tried deleting my iTunes folder and redownload all my purchases again and still the same result. One movie and one TV Show keep saying they aren't downloaded and itunes attempts to download more copies of them both. My folder now has three copies of both their HD/SD versions and is currently downloading a fourth copy of both.
