Downloaded software asking for CD during install

I'm moving my CS5 from my old desktop to a new laptop. I've switched off the current installation and moved the downloaded installation file to the new machine, expanded it and now am installing it. It accepts the license number and starts the install then gets to a point when it requests I put a CD into my CD drive. It dosn't give me an opportunity to point to the folder where the expanded files are nor the original downloaded file, so I can't complete the installation. How do I get round this?

Please try re-downloading CS5 from the direct download links available at : http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
and then try installing it on the new computer.
But make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download.

CS6 Beta asks for disk during install

I downloaded the CS6 beta to a new folder in my Program Files folder on my hard drive.
I did a complete shut-down and cold restart on the PC.
I closed all other programs and disabled all the memory-resident ones except my antivirus.
I started the CS6 setup. At roughly 28% complete, the installer stopped and displayed the message:
"Please insert disk Photoshop CS6 to continue"
Clicking 'Continue' brought the same error message screen back.
I would like to try CS6, but how do I get it installed?

My OS is 32-bit XP Pro SP3 with all critical updates applied. The only other Adobe product installed is Adobe Reader X.
The only thing you did differently is to put the downloaded file and the extracted files on your Desktop. I downloaded mine to a unique folder in my hard drive Program Files folder, extracted them there, then ran the Installer.
I also selected 'Try' instead of 'Buy' and created a unique Adobe login ID for myself. After the first failed attempt, all subsequent installation attempts 'recognized' my Adobe ID and only asked me to confirm it.
Since my last post, I've also tried copying the extracted files to a DVD, then running the Installer from the hard drive with the DVD in the DVD drive (Failed) and I tried running the Installer directly from the DVD drive (Failed). In each attempt, it got to 28% complete, then began asking for the Photoshop 6 disk.
I may try to install CS6 Beta on my Win7 system, but I really dislike using that PC for beta versions of programs.

Adobe does not require a password to download the Flash installer. Generally speaking passwords are not required to download software, unless you must register with the website so as to log in. In that case you should never use the same name and password you use to administer your Mac.

You may not be able to get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

It's possible they'll make an exception for you, particularly if the problem was on their end preventing the movie from downloading in a reasonable time.

No promises but a System Reset is worth trying:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 162. Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.

Clear the browser cache and try again.
Try a different browser (see System requirements | Acrobat.com for a list of supported browsers).
Make sure that you're using the correct Adobe ID and password.

Oh, and Gador Alplax bars from Argentina (we only get Xanax brand here and it is the most expensive in the world, and can only be bought in tiny 0.5mg dose meaning I need twelve tablets daily rather than only THREE of the 2mg Alplax 'bars').

CC Software asking for a serial ?

Hi all,
Since 1 hour, all my CS6 app asking for a serial in order to laucnch, saying my trial period just expire...but I'm a CC member since it's start, and on my Adobe account, everything seems ok.
Softwares asking for a serial ? but what serial ? I'd never used any serial for CC access ?

Another trick I've found is if you right-click on a file and "open-with..." one of your favorite Creative Cloud applications you may be more likely to get the splash screen which will lead to your appropriate CC sign in screen, instead of the dreaded too many activations / enter your serial number screen, which of course you don't have because you've gone with "the Cloud" in the first place. -Maybe you guys could at least give us a creative cloud serial number with our payment confermation each month. -At least then we would have something to enter...

I noted that one of the updates in the list for my wife's iMac was an update to Software Update itself. Probably to fix this very problem. But it wasn't being applied due to Software Update itself not working.
I considered two solutions.
(1) Uncheck all the updates except that one update to Software Update. Then after fixing Software Update, apply all the other updates remaining. I did NOT try this approach.
(2) Download and install the "combo update" for 10.6 -- from here

I decided to try solution #2. It's a large download, 1 GB, but the whole process took less than 15 minutes. The "combo" update checks and reapplies every update since the beginning of 10.6, so if something is missing or amiss, it gets filled in. It's done manually, by downloading the update, opening the .dmg file, and running the update. When I did this, it fixed the Software Update issue because I then reran Software Update and additional, new updates were found and they all installed fine. Software Update was working as it should. I then ran it a third time and some additional ones were found, also then successfully applied. Finally, no new updates were found by Software Update, which mean everything is up to date.
I can't be sure if your issue is the same as mine (the bug in the CNET article above) but I'm guessing that the combo update will resolve your issue.

Asking for driver when install Hyper-V 2012 r2

I'm trying to install the Hyper-V server by using the DVD image from MS but it keep asking for the drivers. I tried different drivers but none of them work (Win7, Win8, Win8.1). Any idea??
(I'm installing the server to a normal PC with i5 4GB) Does it has any special requirement to have it installed?? I tried the VMWare without any problem.

I completed an installation of Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 to a VM with no network card. So I can't see that a network card is an issue for the installation. A physical machine with no NIC would even work fine for VMs that only need to communicate
among themselves or with the host. Obviously without a network card, the VMs would never be able to reach outside the host, but it would work fine.
If you downloaded the copy from Microsoft, you have a valid copy. If you got it from someplace else, it's anybody's guess as to what you have. Where did you get your copy? Have you tried a different copy? I know you have said you
have successfully installed Windows Server 2012 R2 on this box, which says that Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 should install, too. Have you tried installing with your current media to any other physical (or virtual) platform to validate you have a good copy
of the media? Maybe you have corrupted media? The fact that you are getting a request to for drivers at the point you are indicating is very, very strange. I have never seen an installation ask for drivers. I have installed many times
on machines with devices that have no drivers on the installation media and I have to provide them during installation. But I had to manually request to load the drivers - otherwise the installation simply did not see a partition for installation.
You mention that you want to compare it to vSphere. That is not quite an apples-to-apples comparison. In order to compare it to vSphere, you would need to include Microsoft's System Center products. Remember that Hyper-V is Microsoft's
hypervisor, just like ESXi is VMware's hypervisor. vSphere includes all sorts of additional purchased components they added on to be more competitive with System Center. If you compare hypervisor to hypervisor, you would find the Hyper-V comes
with a lot more. For example, Hyper-V includes HA for no additional cost. You have to purchase vSphere to get that from VMware. And the list goes on, but this is a bit of a tangent.

I suspect that you are saying that you can't download/install the latest version of iTunes.
All I can say is try removing and reinstalling the Apple software using the following:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have further problems with installing Itunes I suggest you post in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem. Also report the wording of any error messages. What they say is importent on resolving them.

Ask for Login during Installation wizard of application

Hi to all,
I am doing an application in which I have some unusual
requirement, that is I want my application to ask for login (only
username is required) while I install the application i.e; during
the installation wizard and save it at that time only, so that the
application will not prompt user again for login in future.
I know how to achieve this after the application is installed
by using the shared objects once the user login.
Is there any way to achieve this?

I'm not sure I understand what type of login you are requesting, but it is possible to build a wrapper installer that silently launches your AIR installer then does whatever you need in a post install step (or preinstall for that matter.)

Trial install asks for disk to install - CS6 Master Suite

I installed the Master Suite collection quite a while ago on a previous computer with no problem. Now though, I'm being asked for a disk just to go through with a trial installation.
I'll clck on "trial" installation choice. I'll click on "next" and it'll look like it's going to install. However, after a few moments, it'll stop and ask me to insert the disk to continue. It's a trial, so what disk?
