Downloaded song doesn't play

I just downloaded a song, and when I tried to play it in itunes, it wouldn't play. Also, it won't sinc to my ipod. So basically I paid for a song that I can't listen to. Any suggestions for what to do?

I have this 4GB iPod 3rd Gen Silver since last year,though I haven't got any problems using it till now...but later today, It seems that some of the songs doesn't play!is there anyone who can assist?

All of the song from my ipod were downloaded using a 'free songs download' website,all songs were absolutely playin to ipod from the time i bought it since last year (there's no prob to that)...but when I just plugged the ipod into a new computer yesterday to play some of the songs, (by means of showing the hidden files,opening the 'ipod control' folder,entering the 'music' folder, then played some of the songs)everything went good playin' some songs using Window Media Playa, but after pulling my ipod off the computer and listen to it again,the songs I played using Windows Media Player into the computer are exactly the same songs that aren't playing anymore using my ipod itself...u helped me earlier deggie,please do so for the last time?....

One song doesn't play fully on iTunes...

This song, purchased on Google, won't play fully on iTunes, but WILL play fully on Windows Media Player and my iPod. It displays the time "7:33", but when I try to select the song for playing, "3:57" flashes before returning to "7:33". Looking up on the music player, the end time displays "3:57", and the song only plays up to 3:57 before skipping to the next song. Trying to reset the time stop option fails, as if I try to put "7:33" in the time stop, iTunes automatically forces the time "3:57" on it again. How can I solve this issue?
The file is an MP3 (MPEG-1, Layer 3) encoded with LAME 3.98.

Post in the iTunes Store forum area if you purchased the songs from there. Since your issue is happening in all of your mobile machines, the issue is with the song, not your iPod, iTunes app or your blackberry.

Scratch the post above - the musics that plays in the playlist also plays in the library and that is because i forgot that i imported from the cd yesterday. Basically, I see the rest of my music, but it doesnt' play and tells me it can't locate the file though the location in 'perferences' points to the correct location. Getting iTunes to play after a new computer or rebuild is a headache.

Delete the faulty file
Go to the itunes store. Select Purchased from Quick links on the right
Navigate to the music you want and click the cloud button to download

Downloaded songs will play on the computer but wont play on the iPhone... any suggestions?

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them.

HT1933 iTunes downloaded song will NOT play

Why can I view the song on the playlist (on both iPod and Powerbook) and yet the song will not play on either? It is NOT listed as having been interrupted as a download and the rest of the album plays without incident.

Sounds like a faulty file. Delete it and redownload a fresh one at no extra cost
Goto iTunes Store
Select Purchased from under Quick Links to the right
Navigat to the music you want and click on the cloud button to re download.
If it came from a cd then reimport it.
If it came from another source then they will give you instructions on how to redownload if you can

Song doesn't play right

Just one out of over a thousand songs does not play right anymore. It is almost as though it is skipping, and jolts in slower than the actual pace of the song. The song was purchased from the iTunes store quite some time ago, and just recently stopped working. I have updated to the latest version of iTunes, and it still does not play right.

I have the same problem. I purchased a song off iTunes over two years ago and for the past month the song has played so roughly that it's unbearable to listen to. This problem may coincide with the recent iTunes update to the most recent version. Please answer this question before I begin to think Apple wanted old songs to play improperly to force the listener to re-purchase.

If a song doesn't play fully and I already downloaded it what should I do

Hi for some reason I downloaded a song called Fly Rich by Rich Gang and for some reason it only plays 6 seconds of it when it says it has the entire song downloaded what should I do because if it doesn't get fixed I will for surely be one unhappy customer.

Delete your current copy, don't "hide in iCloud" if prompted, then go to Store > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer, and download again. Close iTunes and reopen if the track isn't listed. If the problem persists use the "Report a problem" links from Store > View My Account > Purchase History.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

A purchased song doesn't play, and won't authorize

I purchased an album, and one of the songs on the album won't play. It comes up with the Authorized box like the song hasn't been authorized, but even when I do it over and over it still won't play. IT also won't play on any of my devices, or other computers that are authorized on this account.

Try deleting the problem track from iTunes (allow iTunes to move the track file to the trash) and then re-downloading it via this procedure:

Song doesn't play and skips to next song

I downloaded a song onto my Ipod from my computer and it plays perfectly on my computer but when I try to play it on my Ipod, it doesn't work and just skips straight to the next song on the playlist. I already tried to add it again but it still doesn't work. What should I do?

Have you tried resetting your iPod?
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Downloaded Song doesn't show up

I recently downloaded an album from iTunes. Unforuantely, I quit out of itunes at the very end of the download knowing that I could just go to check for downloads later. But, when I do, it says that no downloads are available. Additionally, when trying to download the one song that I am missing, it says that I already have that song. My guess is that it did download the file but didnt have time to process it into my library. Additionally, the song before it doesn't have the explicit tag like the rest of the album... don't care about this but it might help.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really want to hear the song.

You can try getting rid of the download folder as explained here, even if you aren't seeing error 8008 and it's not a video.

When I play my song it suddenly stops playing music, like it is on mute or something. But the track keeps going.(the time of the track)It was always like this and even after I downloaded it!
