Downloaded songs but came up errors

I downloaded 3 songs from iTunes that came up with errors, and I got charged for them, how do I get a credit for them? I had previously downloaded songs a couple days before that and had no problems, just with these 3

Get in a instant chat with apple and tell them unless if you can go on other apple device or device with itunes with you signed on you could go in purchased songs and then search for songs but if you want a refund instant chat with apple person

When I try to play a previously purchased/downloaded song, I get an error message that states "The song .... could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" If I try to locate in my files, I can't find it. But when I go to my previously purchased songs, there isn't the option for me to re-download the song.

You are in a country where music can be redownloaded i.e. music appears as a category in the Purchased link ? If it does, and as long as that track is still in your country's store, then deleting that track from your iTunes library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message) should get it to appear in Purchased with the cloud symbol for redownloading - as you still have it listed in your library iTunes is assuming that you still have the track somewhere and that it doesn't need redownloading. If that track still doesn't show in Purchased (and it's still in the store) then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

i keep trying to download reader but get an error message stating i have no rights or authority to do so on my single user pc

You either need to be logged in or run the installer as an Administrator user.
If you already do that, can you post the exact message you are getting?
And yes, knowing your operating system would help.

  • I have a new computer, and downloaded iTunes but get an error message (Error 2) that Apple Application Support was not found. I have Windows 7

It tells me to uninstall, then reinstall iTunes, but I got the same result after I did that.  What do I do now?

I tried to install the iTunes64 for Windows, but got an error message that iTunes64Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
That usually indicates the installer has gotten damaged during the download.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
If you can't get a working installer via the standard download links, try the following download links instead:
    iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
    iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • Ipod downloaded song, but ipod wont play it

Please help, i downloaded songs on to my daughters ipod, but now they wont play. Other songs downloaded will play, but not the few she really loves. I also noticed that the
album covers dont match the song on the screen.... can anyone help me???

I would try and reset your daughters iPod (http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/). If that doesn't work, then you might want to use the Restore function in iTunes. Also, you will want to make sure you are using the newest version of iTunes. To check to see if you have the newest version, click Help in iTunes, then scroll down to 'Check For Updates'. If you have already tried all of these, or are not having any luck, please reply back to this post. Good luck

  • My itunes allows me to download songs but is having difficulty identifying my new Ipod nano. It is not working efficiently enough to power my netflicks through apple tv. Can you help?

My itunes allows me to dcownload songs but is having difficulty identifying my new ipod nano and so can't set up song lists. It is not allowing me to access Netflicks anymore. Any ideas.

    I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem.

  • My ipod touch downloads songs but won't let me select one

My Ipod touch will download songs. When I go to music to select a song all entries are grayed out and will not allow me to select one. What do I need to do to change this so the songs are available to be selected?

To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size. Thus you need abut 4.5 GB free storage space on the iPod which you do not have.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required.

  • Can't download songs but can download everything else via iTunes 7

I purchased an album from iTunes and keep getting an error 50 for all the songs when trying to download them. Postcasts down load fine, a TV show downloaded fine. It is iTunes 7 on a PC. I turned off all anti-spyware - no different. I flushed the DNS - no different. Maybe it is a lousy album!
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I purchased an album from iTunes and keep getting an error 50 for all the songs when trying to download them.
the usual culprit with that one is actually McAfee Privacy Service (rather than the firewall or antivirus):
iTunes for Windows: Error (-50) or (403) occurs when accessing the iTunes Music Store
... but if no joy there, try:
iTunes for Windows: Connection Issues when using Internet Filters, Accelerators , or Firewalls

  • Downloaded Song, but no song plays after download...

I downloaded a copy of Josh Groban "You Raise Me Up" from Itunes. The 9 MB file took about 20 seconds to dl and then I tried to play it, but it will not play. The file is there because 9 MBs of space are being eaten up by it.
Why is my song not playing and what can I do to fix it??
    Please HelP!

    Hey there,
Do any error messages come up? Have you authorized your computer yet? To do this, head to Store and then click +Authorize Computer+. See if that helps. Let me know.

  • Downloaded songs, but they wont go into my iPod

I as having computer trouble on another home computer, so I installed itunes into another home PC. So I downloaded 5 new songs and when I try to put them into my iPod, it says that This computer is not authorized to play these songs and wont transfer them. I have authorized this computer and opted to share my songs.
What am I doing wrong? How can I get these songs into my iPod? It's a Nano.

sometimes itunes can get confused about whether or not particular songs are authorised to play on a particular computer.
try playing the 5 songs for a few seconds each in itunes prior to trying to transfer them to the ipod. do they transfer through after you do that?

  • Download Itunes but get any error message

I just purchased an Ipod Nano. I downloaded the itunes program but when it opens I get a message that says iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I have downloaded the program several times but it says the same everytime. I am also have to use dial-up at the moment. Thanks for any help.

Apple offer this help, unfortunately it doesn't often work:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1406
otherwise all I can suggest is to turn off popup blocking or try a different browser in case the file is being truncated. The latest installer comes out at 62,042 KB in Windows Explorer on my PC.
IF you really can't get it to work try downloading from FileHippo
    http://filehippo.com/download_itunes/
If it doesn't work from there either, maybe there is an issue on your PC, although I don't know what it might be.

  • Charged for downloaded song, but it was not downloaded - could not be found

I purchased a song, however it could not be located to download, yet I was charged for it. What do I do?

Sorry about this! You'll have to email Apple and explain your loss. You can contact them with complaints by clicking on "Support" in the upper right corner when you're in the iTunes Store. Then follow the online instructions to email Apple. (Sorry this isn't working right now--Apple seems to be overwhelmed by iPhone business. If the support lines are overwhelmed--that's probably not the best scenario for Apple!)
