Downloaded songs to my iPodtouch, simply disappear

The thing is when I've purchased a few songs thru my iPodtouch. The downloading goes OK. The problem comes when I connect the iPod to my computer to synchronize and then click on the Eject icon to disconnect. Once done this, I note that specially my downloaded songs have disspeared. I quickly have made a report of this via iTunes Customer Service and they put the lost albums again in my apple account to download but the main thing is I think there's a bug in the iPodtouch. Thanks and sorry for my english

I just got the 16GB ipod touch for Christmas, loved it, especially the WiFI download options. I quickly spent about $50 downloading songs over the first several days. Only to have every single one disappear. At first, not understanding the problem, I used the "Report a Problem" reply from my itunes receipt, but am now understanding it is a much bigger problem. Is everyone just living with this issue, or has anyone had any luck getting some answers or ideas from Apple on this??

  • Downloaded songs disappeared

I downloaded some songs from other music website into iTunes, played some of them with iTunes and synchronized them into my iPod. The next time I opened iTunes and tried to play these songs, it showed me an exclamation point next to the songs and a pop-up box telling me the original file could not be found. I did not update iTunes between the times and did not remove or delete these songs. They just simply disappeared! I do not dare to synchronize my iPod with the iTunes again being affraid that the songs in my iPod will also disappear. Any help?

    Hi Luo!
Do you know what type of music files you downloaded from these other music websites? MP3, WMA, etc...?
Did you pay for these files, if so, are they from a "subscription" service?
    A bit more info, please.

How do I get one or the other? I have 2 of the same iPod's and logged onto both with the same as well as different apple ID's and passwords to each respective iPod and the completion of my downloaded songs has disappeared into thin air. Where did it go? How do I get the credit too re-download those songs to the correct iPod? Please help me!! [email protected]

What happens when you try to redownload them?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
On a computer go to iTunes>Store>View Account>Sign in and go to purchased history and see if you actually purchased them.
    Try redeeming the card again

  • When I click on the iPod tab/button in iTunes in order to set up download the tab/button simply disappears

I need to change the settings for my iPod touch but when I click on the iPod tab on my iTunes page it simply disappears.

    Disabled
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

I have emigrated from the UK to Australia and am about to change my itunes country.  Will this result in me losing all my itunes downloaded songs etc?  Will i need 2 accounts?

Going on what other people have posted your purchases will disappear off the Purchased links for redownloading (they won't be removed from your iTunes library or iOS devices), but as long as you have all your downloads on your backup of your library then that shouldn't be a problem - you won't be able to redownload anything from the Australian store unless you return to Australia anyway.

Since upgrading to Yosemite my iPhoto, iMovie and Garage band has simply disappeared from my Mac. HELP!?

    Hi Jdireen,
As someone who uses the iLife applications on a daily basis on my Mac I can understand how it would be upsetting to have them disappear suddenly. Let's see if we can get you back up and running.
You can download the applications again and reinstall them from the Mac App Store -
    GarageBand - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/garageband/id682658836?mt=12
    iMovie - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imovie/id408981434?mt=12

  • Problem downloading songs from iTunes to iPhone

I cannot download songs from iTunes into my iPhone. I was able to move about 10 songs but when I view them they are greyed out. I cannot manually move any songs. And if I attempt to drag and drop the iPhone will not accept them as the iPod will. Any suggestions? BTW I can move songs freely from iTunes to my iPod.

    hi jason,
imho, the lack of manual music and video management
is a mistake. i've had 4 ipods over the years and have always used
manual mode. the playlist hack works okay
    and is only mildly cumbersome.
however i tend to buy music from itunes both on my
imac at home and my pc at work. i've always simply
been to plug in my ipod to either computer and grab my
purchases, in either location. now, my iphone is "locked"
to my imac. i'm sure apple had a good reason to leave out
manual management, but i would suggest revisiting this
    asap.

  • Downloaded song from cloud. Icon changed from cloud to downloaded

I downloaded one of my purchased songs to my computer. The cloud icon disappeared from next to the track. The song accidentally got deleted. Went to the purchased section of iTunes and the song had "Downloaded" next to it instead of the cloud icon that was next to the remaining non-downloaded songs from the album. I can't re-download the song and it also doesn't play from the cloud anymore. Any suggestions on how to get access to the song again?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I did all of that, but it says another user/password is required to play the song. I know that user and he probably did indeed download the song on to my MAC when he was here.
So I checked, and there are other songs he downloaded but they do not flag the user/password requirement.
What I don't understand is how I was able to play the song in question from my library and subsequently download it onto my ipod with no problems until yesterday.
    Again, what changed?

  • My iPhone with iTunes match is extremely slow downloading songs, stuck on processing file

I have a 64GB iPhone 5, with iTunes Match enabled. Whenever I try to download songs to the phone, the songs will download very quickly, usually with 15 seconds, but then it will be stuck on Processing File for 15-20 minutes. This makes it very difficult to download large numbers of songs. I have been trying to download ~3000 songs since Friday and there are still 492 left after 4 days. Any ideas why the processing file action takes so long?
Internet speed: 15ms ping, 35mbps download, 11mbps upload
    iOS version: 7.1.2
    Capacity: 57.1GB
    Available: 30.7GB
    Thanks,
    Randy

I'm trying to load ~20k songs onto my new iPhone 6 via iTunes Match, and I'm only about 1/20 along after two days
I can't even track the progress using the iTunes Store app since the app either crashes immediately upon launch or doesn't show the "Downloads" tab (if I reboot the phone, I'll see the "Downloads" tab once with a badge indicating the number of songs remaining, but after locking up the app for a few minutes, the "Downloads" tab disappears until I reboot again).
Instead, I get alerts every so often reporting "Unable to Purchase" as sync downloads occasionally fail. The only way I'm able to see that anything is still progressing at all is by going to Settings -> General -> About and observing the "Songs" number very slowly incrementing.
Meanwhile, I cannot update any apps since app update downloads appear to queue up behind iTunes Match syncs instead of being entirely independent.
I have been terribly disappointed with Apple's handling of iTunes Match.

  • The songs on the iPodTouch get the wrong CD-Covers

    Dear all
who can help? After I synchronised my new iPodTouch with my iTunes I realised, that most of the songs on the iPodTouch were linked to wrong CD-Covers. The match on iTunes is still correct.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks for your help!!!

You can see it for yourself in front row: delete for example the artwork of the second song, and then it won't appear in front row when you select the song (nor on your iPod touch).
And? The artwork was removed from that song. Why would it show up?
Also, you aren't really deleting artwork for the song (if iTunes got the artwork). You are simply deleting a link in the database to the artwork for the album. iTunes links one artwork files to all the songs on the same album
this will simply increase the size of everything in the iTunes library': cmon, artwork usually is <100 kb, not a big deal!</div>
Okay, but you are suggesting doing this for every single song, when it is not needed.

  • Itunes has deleted my downloaded music. I still have my purchased songs in my library and I still have my downloaded music on my computer but the downloaded songs don't show up in my library. How do I fix this?

itunes has removed my downloaded music from my library. I still have all of my purchased songs and videos but the downloaded songs are missing. I still have the downloaded songs on my cpu just not in my itunes library anymore. How do I get these songs back in my itunes library?

Copy them from the other user account you were logged in with to your own account.  Or if you are using iTunes 10.3 or later and live in the use, redownload them via iCloud beta.  See this article for more information.

  • HT5312 Downloaded songs to wrong iPod. Can I stop, re-do on other iPod, get credit of unused downloads?!

I accidentally started a download of around 25 songs on iTunes using a gift card, but did it too the wrong iPod. Is there a way too cancel the downloads and transfer the unused credit too my other iPod?
Downloaded songs to wrong iPod. Can I stop, re-do on other iPod, get credit of unused downloads?!
iPod touch 2nd generation iPod touch with 4.2.1 iOS, stopping iTunes, downloading midway,

You should be able to connect the iPod to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over and you can then sync them to your other iPod.
