Downloaded Star Trek 2 on to ipad and it will not play

I downloaded the movie and went to play it. It starts up looking like it will play and then it will shut down the videos app. I have restarted, tried syncing to my computer to no avail. My computer doesn't even seem to recognize that the movie is there, like its invisible. Please help!

I'm having a similar problem ... just used my iPad 2 to purchase the Bourne trilogy and it downloaded fine but I did not try to play it right away.  Then I plugged the iPad into the computer and it downloaded the SD versions of the movie and I used iTunes to sync my movies.  Then I tried to play it and it said it could not open the movie.  I then did a full iPad restore and did a fresh sync and now I get the Cannot Opne pop up.  Did you ever find an answer to your question?

    Thanks for the question. Let's see if we can isolate this issue further. Can you try deleting the video from you iPad, then redownloading it? To delete a video from our iPad, see the following:
    Delete a video from iPad. Tap Edit in the upper right of your collection, then tap on the video thumbnail. If you don’t see the Edit button, look for on your video thumbnails—those videos haven’t been downloaded to iPad, so you can’t delete them. To delete an individual episode of a series, tap the series, then swipe left on the episode in the Episodes list.
    Deleting a video (other than a rented movie) from iPad doesn’t delete it from the iTunes library on your computer of from your purchased videos in iCloud, and you can sync the video or download it to iPad again later. If you don’t want to sync a deleted video back to iPad, set iTunes to not sync the video. See Sync with iTunes.

    Good morning, I installed ios6 on the new iPad and siri will not work. Each time I try to use siri she says "uh oh, I'm having a problem. Please try again. I have tried turning siri off and back on again. Resetting the iPad, resetting the network, turning Airplane Mode off and on again. All to know avail. My iphone 5 works great and so does my wife's iphone 4s with ios6. I have called Apple support but there only suggestion was that the servers were busy. If that was the case my other devices would not work either. Plus the servers wouldn't be busy for four days. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I was looking forward to using siri on the new iPad and other folks don't seem to be having a problem.

    Then you need to change your device details as this still says iPad2.
    It's very possible Apple's servers have been busy for 4 days as not everyone downloaded iOS 6 on the day it was announced. I downloaded it last Friday, myself, as an example.
    There are a millions and millions of people using Apple iDevices.
    Just because everything went fine with the iOS 6 updates of your iPhone 4 and 5 doesn't mean something couldn't have gone wrong with an update to your iPad3
    If the iOS update missed something during the download, I am not sure how to go about re-downloading iOS 6 to fix the issue you are having.

    It reboots it but unplugging can also rectify communication issues like this. A restore would be the next step.

    I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store. 
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

    you have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
    then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
    i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more.

    I downloaded a song and it will not play in its entirety. Is anyone else having this problem? This has occurred on two or three songs I've downloaded lately.

    Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a couple of weeks or so.
    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

    You can try a couple of different things. First - restart the iPod and see if the songs will play.
    Restart the iPod by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    If that doesn't help - delete the songs and then download them again. You can download purchased music again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with originally and as long as you live in one of these countries.
    Previously purchased music is only available through iTunes in the Cloud in  Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.
    If you are running iOS 5 on the iPod - You can delete songs by swiping across the song in list view to bring up a red delete button. Tap the button to delete the songs. Download the songs again in the purchased tab in iTunes.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
