Downloaded the 'New Yorker' app, but...

I've got a 3G Ipad2, and downloaded the 'New Yorker' app. Then, in that app tried to purchase a copy of the magazine, but up pops a dialog box telling me that it can't log into WiFi!!! But my iPad is communicating fine with the web via 3G. What's up? None of the other apps behave this way. I normally have WiFi set to 'Off' in the settings, as I never use it. It looks like a fault with the app, and so I sent a message to the New Yorker, but they fobbed me off and sent me here...

Try removing the Facebook application from Options> Device> Application Management and then re-install from the browser at www.BlackBerry.com/facebook.
