Downloaded trial ok but can't open?

Hi, I sucessfully downloaded ps cs6 trial version to my external hard drive but now can't find how to start program? There are plenty of folders and subfolders...listed under photoshop CS6 folder but I can't seem to find the .exe file to start up? Have I missed something? Was it a problem downloading it to my external hard drive? If all else fails am I able to download again to my system hard drive? My operating system is Windows XP.

Yes I worked that out after speaking with your tech help, and now unfortunitly there is nothing I can do about it except to remove it, unable to download again because it has registered my computer as already downloaded....so disapointed unless I have another computer to which I don't. Perhaps it would be a good idea to note this proir to download so others will not be as disapointed as myself.

If you mean iBooks, most can only be viewed on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) in the iBooks app. Only the public domain Project Gutenberg books can be read on a computer, and for that you will need an application that can open ePub files.
If that's not what you meant, please explain further where you are getting these books and how you are attempting to view them.

So no, you're incorrect. If you want to make it even easier, you can double click the file...since it came from the Internet zone, it'll be marked as blocked bringing up a warning dialog. Below the run button is the notification about the digital signature.
This is really no different than downloading an application bundle from the Internet. Do you really know what is in that bundle, or do you just trust it because it came from the sources' site? To add to that, do you really know that it hasn't been tampered with on the sources site? For example, the offical sendmail site was compromised and a trojaned installation of sendmail was placed there for download a couple of years ago.
Without digital signatures, you don't know where it really came from. MD5 hashes aren't reliable if the site was compromised.
Beyond that, even with these protections in place, you don't know what is in the code...:)

I stumbled upon the solution. In addition to downloading Creative Cloud, I needed to go back to the website and download trials for the programs I want to use--Photoshop and Lightroom. Once I did that, I was in business. Would save trouble if that was made clear on the download site.

Your question is confusing. Are you trying to open your 30 day trial on the school computer or are you trying to bring the school's version on your computer? What is the end goal? Is it to retrieve your files from creative cloud?
I personally would use Dropbox if that is the goal.

Downloaded adobe reader for mac, but can't open pdf from websites

I just downloaded the Adobe reader for Mac, but can't open any pdf from websites. I've already deleted the previous version off of my computer. I even intstalled Adobe Air Reader as well, but nothing is working. Please help! =(

you need both the 7z and exe files. put both in the same directory and click (or double click) the exe.

Just a wild guess: Is the installer of your version a PowerPC App? I have Final Cut Express - it is universal, but the installer is PPC and I can't use it to install. As a workaround, I have a working Snow Leopard partition and copied every file from there onto the same location on ML - it works fine. That assumes you know where all the files are located.
