Downloaded tv show wont play on my iphone4

Hi all downloaded a tv program from the Itunes store with no problems, sync'ed everything no problem, go to play the program on my iphone 4 and get a message "the movie could not be played". plays fine on my computer. Any ideas suggestions.
1st time that I have downloaded a tv program b4.

I had the same problem so (assuming under the Purchased items in the Store you have a song stuck at 'Downloading'):
I went to Music, then Artists.
From there I chose the album.
The song that failed to download had the cloud symbol next to it.
I clicked the cloud symbol and the song completed the download for me.
(Please note this was in iTunes for Windows - I expect it to be similar in iTunes for Apple)

Basically I have 10 complete seasons of Friends and I often watch it again and again but at the moment my itunes play my tv shows in random order!
Please help!

First, make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your computer. Update your Apple TV if you are using this as well.
Second, if the updates don't resolve it, you'll need to use 'Get Info' on each TV episode. Make sure the media type is 'TV Show'. Then make sure that the epside number and season information is entered properly.
That should fix your issue.

TV Shows wont play

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I just purchased a TV show, but when I try to play it, it wont play. It asks me to Authorize my computer, but the thing is, it's already authorized. I tried to de-authorize it and re-authorize it, but it still doesn't work. And it's not just this one episode, I just noticed I cant watch anything I have purchased in the past.
Help?

There could be a few different things causing that.
If iTunes repeatedly asks you to authorise the computer, the following documents are worth checking through:

iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization

I bought a movie off iTunes, its downloaded but it wont play?

I bought a move of iTunes today, but it wont play, Just comes up with a black screen however if i try and flick through the chapters, I can see all the thumbnails for the different chapters, so the info is there?
All other films are playing fine.

I bought an entire season of a tv show, watched part of it. I tried to watch one today and "the original file was not found. Would you like to locate it" error message came up. When I clicked on that, nothing was found.
TV shows don't expire and I have the current version of ITunes installed, so why won't they play? Any help is appreciated!

Did you download it directly to the iPod?
Sync from iTunes?
What model iPod do you have? On the 4G and later can play HD videos
Maybe:

iTunes: Frequently asked questions about viewing and syncing videos
Do they play in iTunes?
Try deleting them and redownloading them by:

Downloading podcast videos - wont play on ipod

I had a video that was from podcast which I could play on the itune version 6 but why didn't it play or download onto my ipod when I tried to download it to my ipod.

I can only watch it on itunes and there is no way that I can sync the video podcast only if I am downloaded the episods and it is a show that people are talking in.
I am also trying to put a radio station on my ipod. But I only have it on my itunes. Is there a way to put it on the ipod. I have tried drag and drop it to my icon ipod but that did not work. I think you have to buy the radio station. Also, does anyone have a link in podcast for an english radio station for powerfm. Movies and some TV Shows wont play on iPhone even though they appear in the Movies section

I have an iPhone 4S and my old 3GS and after upgrading to iOS 5 neiher will play all of the Movies and TV Shows that sync across from iTunes.
I already have issues with incorrect media that won't sync based on compatibility grounds, but these videos have synced onto the devices but show up in the Videos secion as greyed out options that can't be clicked.
In some cases two of the three episodes will play but the third is just a grey option.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
The problem exisits both with video ripped from DVD's and video purchased from the iTunes store.

It sounds like you have some items on the phone taking up space but you cannot find them to delete them.
First, if you have not already start by restarting the phone and your computer, then try the sync again to see if it updates correctly.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

hi,
i have a 30gb 5th gen ipod bout 1 week old, i have uploaded about 20 tv shows about 3 of them play and the rest dont when i press play a black screen turns up and my ipod frezzes for bout 10 seconds.
Any1 got any ideas ?

hey did u try useing the reset button HOW to do it all u have 2 do is hold the select button(center button) and the menu button at the same time for about 10 sec try tht peace

When iTunes iStore crash try this
copy QTMovieWin.dll from location : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
paste it there C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
you may have to reinstall iTunes

Music downloads from nms wont play

I downloaded an album off the nokia music store from my pc. The files won't open in any music player on my pc, not even nokia music player. It just skips over the song and plays the next song in the queue. If I cue up the whole album, none of the songs play. There is just an "!" next to the song. I tried opening the file itself with the different players and it still doesn't work. I went to the music vault, and tried again to download it again and it still doesn't work. This is the first time I'm using the nms and it isn't looking very good right now. If this is how it operates, I think I'll go back to using the iTunes store on my mac.

In order to listen to non-iTunes audio streams through your Airport Express you will need to use the third party software Airfoil.

Upgraded hd and now tv shows WONT play

i just upgraded my hard drive and and now that i have everything on my new HD my tv shows on itunes will not play (i used cloning software and cloned everything on the new drive). can anyone help? right now i feel like ive just tossed my money away on shows i cant even watch anymore! grr!

Repair Disk Permissions ...
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.
