Downloaded Video from ITunes - Can hear it - Can't see it

I downloaded an episode of "The Office" onto my new 30g Ipod. The artwork comes up and I can hear the episode, but the video itself isn't playing.
Any help would be appreciated!

If your listening under the "MUSIC" then you will not see the video, you must go to the "VIDEO" section. This seems obvious, but you may have missed this simple step.

Please help. I recently upgraded to IOS 8.2 and i realised
that all my downloaded videos from itunes have somewhat vanished. I see the
cloud sign with the downward arrow. However they won’t play, i am being
required to DOWNLOAD them again. This is both in my iPhone and Ipad. Is there
any other way to go around this? As I do not want to download a second time,
that would cost me more money.

    Hello ogojohn,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
The   icon indicates an item that is available for download. This is usually because it has been downloaded previously by the account you are logged in under and will not be charge again for the download. See the following article, while it references iTunes for Mac and not iOS, it is the same.

  • HT203200 How can i solve the -50 error when downloading video from itunes??

How can I solve the -50 error when downloading video from itunes.   The apple support people cannot even figure it out!??

The 2330 error often means some sort of damage to the filing system as might happen if the battery fell out while the disk was in use.
Try running a disk check to see if it finds and fixes any errors.

I have gone to the advanced tab and clicked on the CHECK FOR PURCHASES...but yet it will still not download. this problem has been occuring since last thursday. What can i do to solve this problem?

Your itunes is running, so I doubt this has anything to do with it. Does your Qtime run too?

  • No picture or sound on downloaded video from iTunes

I recently purchased a video from the iTunes store and I searched the forums for nearly an hour and couldn't find anything that helped. The file was rather large (2.18 GB). When it had "finished" it had an error mesage next to it "Network Connection Refused" or something along those lines. After that, it did not automatically load the videos into my "purchased" playlist. I had to manually track down the finished downloaded file on my hard drive. I added the file to my library in iTunes just fine, but if I try to play the video from iTunes (or after I loaded it onto my iPod for that matter)I just get a gray picture and no sound, yet the movie slider is showing the 3:07:55 and is moving as if a movie is playing. I haven't had any trouble with this in the past with music videos or podcasts or anything like that and I have sufficient space on my hard disk. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Dell Inspiron 1501   Windows XP   Laptop

I have all the drivers updated for Vista Business (I have switched from XP Pro to Vista Business since I posted). When I had XP Pro all my drivers were up to date as well. I have had several videos work from before. What was interesting though was that because the file was so large (2.17 GB) I had to let the computer sit overnight. When it finished though, there was a network error of some sorts, though it showed that the download had completed. I said "OK" and thought that it would put it into my purchases playlist, but it did not. I had to track down the file manually and imported myself, but what I get is a gray screen when trying to play in iTunes 7 and a black screen when on the iPod. The interesting thing though is that the slidebar for the time is moving with no picture or sound. I think there may be something I need to do to the file, but not quite sure. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • After buying and downloading videos from itunes, how can I burn them to a DVD that will play in a standard DVD player?  I have tried burning the playlist from itunes, and the disc would not play in anything I put it into.

Out of excitement, I bought both seasons of the tv show "Sym Bionic Titan" from the itunes store, since I can't find it anywhere else, in hopes of being able to burn them to dvds and watch them.  When I burned the disc from itunes, it would not play in any player I put it in.  Not my dvd player, not my ps3, nothing.  So the only place I can watch the show is on my computer, which is definitely not what I had in mind when I purchased it.  Is there a way to burn the videos to a dvd that will play in a dvd player?

Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.

  • Importing videos to Itunes (can't see "Video" on Itunes sidebar)

Guess that's a basic question: When I drag a video file to Itunes, it doesn't get added to my library...could that be related to the fact that there isn't a " Video" topic under " Library"? How can I fix this?

    tt2,
thanks a lot. however, i already have "Movies" under "Library". Still, for some reason i can't drag videos from my computer to Itunes...(I drag the video from a personal folder to Itunes, but the video doesn't show up on Library...

  • Downloaded video from itunes

I can not find mt downloaded videos on my ipad2.  Any ideas?

Downloaded or synced videos should go into the Videos app. If you can't find them there then have you got any video age restrictions set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ? And can you find them by name via the iPad's spotlight search screen 9swipe your first homescreen to the right) ?

  • Downloading video from itunes

I am in the process of trying to download a video from the itunes store. This download is now into four hours. Am I supposed to have the QuickTime that I see mentioned several times downloaded to speed this up?
Is this amount of time normal?

I am also having problems--I have an iMac G5, the video file is an episode of Battlestar Galactica. It takes four hours to download, then says "processing" file. When done "processing" the file starts to download all over again! This has occurred on both my iMac AND my Compaq laptop PC. What is up with that?
    Anyone have any tips?

  • I have downloaded videos from iTunes but they will not play- message says unable to complete this operation.

Why are the videos I have downloaded not able to play.when I go to play them the message says unable to complete this operation

The iTunes Store will direct you to the same article. As Hackintosh said, first delete the track from iTunes, allowing it to move the track file to the trash. Then in iTunes on your Mac, sign into your iTunes Store account and go here:
In the window you'll be taken to, make sure that the Music tab and "not on this computer" are selected, then locate the defective track in the list and click this button next to the track name:
