Downloaded video restarts abruptly, and one other bug

I am using Win XP Pro, latest version of iTunes, and recently I purchased some episodes of LOST. I have a broadband connection at home and at work one broadband + one E1 internet access used concurrently. I have a queue of up to 25 shows to be downloaded, whenever my notebook is on, I am downloading shows, but I tweak the downloads list a bit:
1. I pause all downloads.
2. I set it up manually to download the shows in a specific order, so as to be able to download the shows next in line after the ones already downloaded
3. I watch previously downloaded shows, and when one is done, it automatically plays the next one, even if it is downloading. An hence, my problem:
So far, I am able to watch these currently downloading shows with no problem, until a couple of days ago, while watching a show that had 4 minutes left to finish downloading, the player suddenly stopped, showed the "Nothing Playing" screen and to my dismay, began downloading the show again from zero. I tried finding the file, and it had been erased an nowhere to be found. It has happened three times and it seems odd that I can't seem to replicate the error. Some downloads do it, but the majority doesn't. I opted to let iTunes finish the download just to be on the safe side. However, I was wondering if somebody got the same error?
The other bug I mentioned has to do with manually organizing the download list. If I pick up a download item (tv show only) and while dragging up to the top of the list, if I accidentally over-run it a bit and hover it over the gray bar on top (where the play, next and previous buttons are located, and where the info screen shows up) iTunes immediately crashes and closes up. This one has been a replicable error, and wondered if someone else also had issues with this error?
In addition to it, does anyone know how to change the download queue order permanently so that every time you close and open iTunes it remains in the same order?

@Tylerdowner: hmm.. maybe yes.. I just want to use the DOWNTHEMALL AddsOn for the saving file not the default download.. because my costumer download MP3 files and save it 3 or more files at a time so my Internet Connection goes down :( so I just want to limit them to save 1 file at a time.
or if there is another way to limit it to 1.. please tell me :(

I won't be spending any more money on expensive books now that I know you can't actually get one that applies to the latest version.
Don't get me wrong. I like books. Classroom in a Book series is an excellent resource to have. You will learn a lot from it. Just don't get side-stepped by Creative Cloud's update schedule. No publishing house can keep pace with it. If you stay informed about new releases from Adobe's "What's New" Blogs, you will get your money's worth out of your books. Online Help (F1) is another good resource to use since it is updated fairly often.

If they are in a folder, tap the folder and tap and hold the icon and move it out of the folder and on to the screen you wish. If they are on a different screen, tap and hold the icon until it wiggles, then move it to the edge of the screen and hold for a second or two until it jumps to he adjacent screen.

Firefox 4.0.1 has been an unsafe browser since the release of Firefox 5. So please don't use it.
Real hasn't made Real Player Browser Plugin compatible with Firefox 5.

Is it possible to download and save all texts exchanged between myself and one other person onto a file on my laptop?

There are many hilarious and sweet texts between me and a friend, and he lost his phone. Therefore, I am now the only one who has access to them, and so I am wondering if I can somehow download them onto my MacBook so I can send them to him as an attachment. I am using an iPhone 3GS with IoS5.

LR5 resetting crops... and numerous other bugs

Is there a place to report LR5 bugs? I've had LR5 1.5 days and have found a slew of bugs. The most debilitating one for me so far is:
- I crop a photo, more specifically I change the orientation of a vertical photo by hitting "X" to get a landscape-oriented crop on it. Then edit it and move on to other images. When I return to the first image, LR has reset the crop. "Crop Rectangle" actually shows on the top of the History, although I did not perform that step. I will either (a) undo that history step, stepping back to an earlier history step, or (b) completely re-crop it. Then move on to another image. In either case, when I return... the crop has been reset again.
A couple other ones:
- LR kept selecting 2 images, even though I had only selected one. For a period of time when I had one image selected and did various things like changed a sorting qualifier (for example went from flagged photos only to flagged and unflagged) or even closed & restarted LR, 2 images would be selected upon return. Doesn't sound like a big deal at first, but there were other things going on that I think are related - for example, my "Previous" button was totally gone for a while, replaced by the "Sync..." button, even when I only had one image selected. Normally 'Sync...' appears when multiple images are selected. So I couldn't use 'previous'. It was as though LR thought there were 2 or more images selected, even though there weren't. And again, each time I changed any number of things like filters a 2nd selected image would occur. I rebooted my computer and it seems to have disappeared for now.
- When sorting for flagged photos only, I will unflag a photo to knock it out of the set I'm working on (editing in Develop). Most of the time it behaves properly - unflags the photo and removes it from the set I'm looking at. But numerous times it has removed it from the filmstrip but kept displaying it in the main viewing (center) panel.
- When renaming files, the previews aren't following along properly (sporadic but somewhat frequent). For example: if I have 10 images, Smith001 through Smith010, and I'm sorting/viewing by File Name, if I want to switch the order of 2 images I will rename them. Say I want Smith007 (a B&W) to come before Smith006 (a color image). I will swap names, so that they are in the order I want not only in Lr but also on export, when burning to disks, displaying in my online hosting program, etc. So I F2-rename Smith006 to Smith007 (it's auto renamed Smith007-02 since Smith007 already exists), then F2 rename Smith007 to Smith006, then finally F2 rename Smith007-02 to Smith007). Their order is now swapped, the B&W one first, and will occur in that order everywhere even outside Lr. However, somewhat frequently after doing this name swap the preview for one of the images will not be correct. In this example, the new 007, a color photo, will have all the edits from the new 006 applied to it in the filmstrip (so, it's incorrectly showing as B&W), and will even display that incorrect way in the main display panel in Library, and also in Develop until it is completely loaded. Sometimes restarting Lr once or twice with that photo selected in Develop will correct it. Sometimes not. And creating 1:1 previews does not fix it. Nor does discarding the 1:1 previews & creating new ones.

Use the original material from before it was uploaded to a web site. If you have the legal right to use the material, you probably know the owner and can get the tapes or files.

Installing windows 7 and one other questions about boot camp

I have a 20 inch iMac with Mac OS 10.5.7 and all updates. I am thinking about upgrading from vista on boot camp to Windows 7. I know what to do but i wanted to hear some personal experiences from other people. Also, a long tome ago, I tried to install Windows XP but realized half way through that I did not have a product key. It turns out I did not need one, but I tried to cancel the installation process and all I would get was "Press any key to restart" and I would be sent back to the beginnign of the installation. I was trapped in a loop. For future reference, how do u "escape" this loop? Thanks

You 'escape' by not killing it. And most people have to redo their entire install to get things working properly.

I got a request to upgrade to firefox 4; it is not compatible with my kaspersky and one other program. I want firefox 4.0 removed and the 3.16.7 version back on - how?

Started browser as usual.
Browser informed me that the 3.16.7 version was not secure; I should upgrade to 4.0
First problem was the kaspersky was not compatible.
Second problem was hp photo not compatible.
Third is the browser user interface is too different from expected.

When using Firefox today a strange page with the title wonderhowto showing video instruction appears and all other open pages are closed. I have minimalised this stranger to the screen base and it now shows there with a mini firefox attached!

Please bear with me as I am quite new to computers. Early today on start up I was asked to upgrade an Apple app. I declined as I did not have time.
I opened Firefox as usual and went into several sites mail news etc and all seemed fine. Late morning this strange and quite professional looking video instruction page appeared full of photo's and instructions etc, the page took over the whole screen I thought it was strange so I closed it and all my open Firefox sites had gone. This has now happened several times. I have now noticed that when it is up there is a website address at the bottom of the screen. I tried to copy and paste this but it would not let me. There is a name scorecardresearch.com. Does this strike a bell with anyone?

I am willing to spend up to $4000 or so on a MacBook Pro, but I am wondering if anyone knows if there are going to be any major improvements coming along soon, like for example the graphics...
I love everything about the current macbooks pros, but I am hoping to see better graphics than 256MB sooner or later...
If someone knows for sure that there wont be any upgrades within the next two years, then I will be satisfied and will go off and buy one right away...

No one here is going to be able to tell you when the next MacBook Pro refresh will take place. The graphics processor in the MacBook Pros was updated only about a month ago to one of the best notebook graphics processors available. The amount of memory alone is not an indicator of the graphics processor's performance. 256MB will be fine for most applications. Are you planning on running something that would require more memory?
Also... regarding your comment "If someone knows for sure that there wont be any upgrades within the next two years, then I will be satisfied and will go off and buy one right away..."... While none of us knows for sure when the next update will be... it's a safe bet that it will be before the next two years. No notebook manufacturer goes two years without upgrading their hardware. With the MacBook Pro being Apple's flagship notebook, it's safe to say that it will be updated before then. Apple tends to do major refreshes annually. But again... exactly when that will happen... and what the upgrade will be... only Apple will know.
