Downloaded videos won't upload to my iPod

I downloaded Scrubs Seasons 5 and 6, and at first they were all shown on my ipod, but as time went on, the individual shows wouldn't appear on my ipod, only on my computer. How can I get all the shows on my ipod?

First thing you can try is simply right clicking the tracks and picking the "Convert Selection for iPod" choice which might be enough.
However if you find that it goes on the iPod but then has no audio...
QuickTime expects video files with separate video and audio tracks, but many MPEG formats used a muxed (multiplexed) single track that contains both. Therefore, when you convert videos in iTunes to iPod format they only show the video and no sound since iTunes (really QuickTime) is not looking for the audio track within the video track and it gets lost.
iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files

One way to work around this is to use MPEG Streamclip to convert the files to fix this issue...

but there are other applications besides MPEG Streamclip you can try as well.

  • My final cut video won't upload to youtube

My Final Cut Pro free trial video won't upload to youtube, It all goes fine but then it won't proccess completely. It get to be about 90% done and then it stops and won't proccess any more. What is happening and how can I fix it?

Are you absolutely sure it actually stops?
Once the process reaches 95% the movie is actually uploading to YouTube (not processing).
Dig into the info triangles on Share Monitor and if you watch the progress, it should gradually change the percentage completed - but it's slow as uploading is always slower than downloading.

  • HT204264 "If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, photos and videos won't upload to iCloud, and your library will no longer stay up to date across your devices."  Really?  Can't we support the existing "last 1k photos will be available in the cloud" mode

"If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, photos and videos won't upload to iCloud, and your library will no longer stay up to date across your devices."  Really?  Can't we support the existing "last 1k photos will be available in the cloud" model?  If we don't do this, won't this kill auto-sync of new photos from iOS devices to our libraries on our Macs (if the Mac's Photos app has auto syncing with the cloud turned on) once we go over our 5gb limit?  I have 350GB of photos in my Mac Photos library - I am not going to pay $20/month for 1tb iCloud storage.  Please advise, Apple.  Thank you.

I agree and am baffled by this also.  At first I was really excite about this new feature.  Mostly because I would be able to seamlessly sync videos along with my PhotoStream.  I just assumed there would be some systematic way to handle large libraries.  Like removing older files as the current PhotoStream does.  However, it appears that this new feature will simply 'shut down' when you reach your storage limit.  This just makes no sense to me.  I would have to double check, but I have all my photos and videos in iPhoto and stored on a 3 TB external hard drive and I think the full library is over 1 TB.  So, even if I was willing to pay $20 a month for photo syncing (which I am not) I couldn't do it because my library is too large.  Again I am just baffled why Apple cannot blend this new service with the existing PhotoSteam model.  My favorite aspect of PhotoSteam is that is uploads all my iPad and iPhone Photos to my Mac for permanent storage and it seems this is lost in the new version.

  • Some of my Movies and video podcasts won't upload to my ipod touch

I've been uploading my dvd collection on to my computer through a handy application called handbreak, the main reason for this was so I could watch it on my ipod touch on its beautiful display, but the problem is that it won't upload because the video says the ipod won't support it. I checked the format, mp4 which works in itunes fine, then I checked the size of each and they were quite big since I set the encoding to normal but It should upload even if it's a little big. Another problem is with my video podcasts, some of their HD content won't transfer over, this majority blows because I don't want to compress every single episode. Why is it not working?, and could their be a solution to this besides compressing each file in quicktime pro?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Right click on the video (or select multiple videos and right click) and choose "Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone".

At least on my iMac, it only takes a few seconds.

  • Videos wonät upload into iTunes

I've tried everything, videos just won't upload into iTunes,so I can't get them into my iPod,either! Is there some special trick into doing it?
I've tried dragging it to the Videos, adding it to the Library, dragging it to the Library, adding it to Videos, voodoo,wizadry,curses... everything! It just won't do it. Where's the problem?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Videos must be compatible with Quicktime to be able to be played in iTunes.
Try opening Quicktime and then open one of the videos you want to add to iTunes in Quicktime. See if it plays in Quicktime?
What is the file type of the videos you are trying to add (MOV, WMV, etc.)?

  • When I sync up my HD videos won't transfer onto my IPOD- Why? How can I fix this?

I have an IPod Classic... I'm trying to sync up my HD videos- tv shows but they won't transfer onto my IPOD. Anyone know why?

Ok so HD video is not supported, which explains the problem so what is the solution?  Do I have to put it through a converter to make the data and bit rate smaller? Would that even be possible?

  • Downloaded video won't play in my iphoto version 6

downloaded video and pics from my power shot Canon SD790 IS camera and for the first time it won't play

Do you have a USB drive hooked up to your computer?
First let me say that I have been fighting PrPro CS4 for about 4-5 days now, and only just started reading in here to figure out what i could do to "fix" my problem. I was having all sorts of fits with the playback inside of PrPro freezing and then "not responding." I came across all kinds of posts about computers, memory, drivers and settings, operating systems and all of that. It wasn't until some one that is also having struggles stated that they had a USB drive for unrelated storage did the light go on. So I disconnected my 2 USB drives (one a 250GB desktop Thermaltake drive and the other a 320GB WD My Passport) and loaded up a project that had all been rendered useless. VOLA, working like a charm now. Just like old times, I love my PrPro CS4, where about 2 hours ago I was ready to start working on my resume...lol
Bottom line, don't leave a USB drive hooked up.

  • My itunes video won't load into my ipod

I just received my ipod and have been using it for a week now and I have been purchasing music videos and stand up comedians through itunes.
One video (about 22 min. long) was purchased and downloaded fine into my ipod. The video played fine, no problems. That is until I realized that a few days later, I could no longer see the video in my ipod. It is still in my itunes but no matter what I do, I cannot get it to load back into my ipod.
Any suggestions? I am at a total loss.

  • VIDEO WON'T PLAY ON MY IPOD! WHAT DO I DO?!?!

I can download music videos from iTunes fine, and can play them on iTunes fine, but when it is exported to my U2 iPod and I select a video to play, it doesn't play. Instead it goes to this black screen, with a triangle in the top left corner (the "play" triangle, same triangle on the play button on any ipod), and it just does nothing. I can turn the volume up, and go to the menu with little trouble, but NOTHING plays!!!
Any suggestions/ideas? Would apreciate help. Thanks.
    ~Austin

I have the same problem. Just bought a new U2 Ipod this week, I think it played the video once. After that, it just kept freezing up, now I can't get it to play anymore. I ran Ipod updater a hundred times, restored it at least 20 times in the last two days, but it just keeps freezing up, also when playing music, scrolling, updating,... This s* badly, as I travel a lot and want to take it with me.
I think you should just take it to a store and complain.

  • MPEG-4 Videos won't go on my ipod

so, I use videora to convert video files to mpeg-4 format so I can put them on my ipod...everything was working fine, but for some reason now quite a few of the video files, once they're in itunes and are in the mpeg-4 format, won't go on to my ipod...they work in itunes fine, but when I drag them to my ipod, they just don't register at all...any ideas??

try to make sure that the bitrate and resolution is suitable for playing on iPod.
the general limits which the iPod carry.
    H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Try to lower the bitrate and resolution, maybe this will help.
if this still doesn't work, try another video to iPod video converter instead.

  • Pics & videos won't upload to Facebook with MacPro 10.9.5

Since we have upgraded to a Macbook Pro version 10.9.5, we can upload photos & videos to our computer from our camera but can no longer upload any of our photos or videos to facebook.  However, the photos on this computer that were copied off of an older MacPro will still upload.  It appears it has something to do with how the file is saved?  Any suggestions?

Did that days ago with no success.
I have followed every instruction I can find, and even threatened both devices.  Nothing.
I've had Macs for 12 years so am no novice.
Alas, I was forced to get an IPhone 8 months ago because a client wanted to text me, and my flip phone wouldn't cut it.  It has been a source of continual aggravation.  All I want to do is text, make phone calls, and occasionally go on the Net.  No music, no photos, no e-mail, no games, no crazy apps, etc.  Simple.   Well you'd think so.
Genius Bar requires a 25-mile trip, so I turn to the communities first.

  • Video won't show on my iPod

I just bought my iPod yesterday. My other sister already has an iPod. We use separate computers. I took an MPEG-4 file from her playlist in her iTunes folder (in My Computer). And I copied it into mine. I put the file into a foler in My Computer and put it in my playlist. It told me that I had to authorize the file from my sisters account. So now her account is now authorized into 2 computers. I played the video and it shows in iTunes, but it doesn't show up on my iPod.
My sister uses iTunes 6, and I use version 7. We both use Windows.
    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Oh and I almost forgot. When I play the "Video" it looks as if I'm playing an audio file instead. It just shows the cover art.
