  • Can someone tell me the steps to get rid of the Yahoo toolbar. I have gmail and the right homepage , and when I updatede Firefox I said I didn't want the Yahoo toolbar, but it is there anyway and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I just want to get rid of the **** Yahoo toolbar! If not, I want to go back to the previous version of Firefox. Can someone help me with the steps to do either one of these, Please!!!

I just figured out how to remove it. Go to the Tools menu and select add-ons. Click on extensions, locate Yahoo Toolbar in the list, and off to the right, you can click on "Disable" or "Remove." I disabled, restarted Firefox 4.0, and bingo, no annoying Yahoo toolbar. Hope this helps!

  • Download the updated version of the software can not use and why?

Download the updated version of the software can not use and why?

It will help if you tell us what model of iPod touch you have, how and from where you downloaded the update, what version of iOS this update is, and details about the problem; "can not use" doesn't give us anywhere near enough information on which to base a diagnosis and offer suggestions.
    Regards.

    Hello,
As frustrating as it seems, your best to post any frustrations about the iPhone in the  iPhone discussion here:

As this discussion is for iBook laptops.
    Best of Luck.

  • My brother **** as admin and i want to get rid of him

my brother doesn't deserve to be the default admin and i want to get rid of this privilege. how do i change my account to the default admin without having to sign in as an admin account or having to put his admin password?

As ZigZag pointed out, only an Administrator can Add another Administrator account or assign administrator privileges.
Maybe ask very nicely for administration privileges ;)

  • I Downloaded the Little Snitch Trial, and I Want To Get Rid Of It. How?

so I have the Little Snitch trial. (an app that shows your network usage and stuff) There is no way I can quite it or stop it or delete it or anything
ZERO search results come up when i search little snitch in finder
it is not in the preferences of my mac.
I just want to get rid of it! it sits in my menu bar, and when i click it it displays the following..
    Little Snitch Network Filter Off
    Start New Filter
    thats it...

The application has the uninstaller built into it, so if that item has
been dragged into Trash without running the uninstaller to get
the other parts removed correctly, you would have to download
the app again to get that uninstaller...

{This item gets installed as a system preference modifier so the

There also is another app called AppZapper which can help remove

  • Bing and Ashampoo have hijacked my Firefox page and I want to get rid of them.

When I click on the Firefox icon, I am now taken straight to Bing by way of Ashampoo. First Bing appeared and I had to then click on Firefox. Then Ashampoo took over Bing and I still have to click on Firefox. I really want to get rid of them and just get Firefox when I click on it.

go to settings>general>passcode lock and "enable simple passcode"

  • I tried to download the updated version and got vast loads of AAM files appearing on the top of my Firefox browser. Why?

I recently changed from Chrome to Firefox as I no longer trust anything to do with Google.  Anyway, I hoped the change would allow me to download the version of Muse with the In-Browser Edit facility.  I entered Adobe Muse 2014 into the browser search and signed in to Adobe CC.  I was a little surprised not to see the Muse icon up front and centre; eventually I located it and watched the intro video before hitting download.  Immediately a continous stream of aam files began to stream along the stop of the browser. For a start I am not familiar with aam files and I don't know why Firefox would run the files along the top of the browser.  Is the updated version of Muse actually downloading?  After half an hour I got suspicious and clicked stop.  Any ideas what's going on?

I can't speak to the behavior of Firefox. I only use it infrequently and the behavior you're seeing may be dependent on your configuration (i.e. the plug-ins you have installed in Firefox). However, I can explain the Muse installation process.
Starting with the Adobe Muse CC 2014 release Muse now uses the same installer technology and installation process as all other Adobe applications available as part of Creative Cloud. When any Creative Cloud application is installed, step one is the installation of the Creative Cloud desktop application (if it's not already installed and up-to-date). CC desktop manages the installation of Adobe application along with many other cloud features (i.e. access to cloud storage, folder sync, access to fonts, access to community and marketplace, etc.). Adobe Application Manager (AAM) is a subcomponent of the CC desktop application and thus part of the installation of CC desktop.
This process is the same whether you're using the free level of Creative Cloud, are using a trial of a Creative Cloud app, have a Creative Cloud Single App subscription for just Muse or are a full Creative Cloud subscriber.

  • Updated version of iPhoto now can't email photos

my imac notified me to click on the updated version of IPhoto.  Since then i am no longer able to send photos out through the Iphoto email.  I get a pop-up that reads:The email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination.

Hello Uptown  I have the same problem as you have  have you been able to solve your problem,    will I uninstall iphoto all together and start again  if so won't i loose all my photos ?? marie
Uninstalling iPhoto will not affect your photos - they are in you riPhoto library (and of course you will always have a good backup of it and all other data on yoru computer because if you do not you are guarenteed to lose them sooner or later)
Unfortuantly it also will not solve your problem - did you delete the accoutn and re-enter it in the iPhoto preferences? waht happend?

i have had my mac for a while now and i have just noticed what appears to be a little burgalar at the top of the menu bar at the top of the screen. i was wondering if this was a virus or something i may have accidently downloaded? is it safe or do i need to get rid of it?

Definitely uninstall MacKeeper.  Avoid all third party so called Mac cleaning utilities. Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you.

  • How do I get rid of a yahoo toolbar that keeps popping up and is not on the program list of my computer?

Immediately after I updated my firefox a couple of weeks ago, the browser started to display a yahoo toolbar. At the time my husband took it off using the control panel and add/remove program function on the computer.
since this am, the toolbar has come back up. I did NOT do anything to request it, or put it there. It is not showing up on my program list, I cannot find it when I do a search of my computer. When I went to yahoo help "remove toolbar" the two suggestions were to do that or use the settings button to remove it, but the settings menu on this doesn't have that option, unless maybe I would create an account, log in, and then remove it. I don't really want to do that either.
I don't know where this came from, and don't really trust it. I would like to take it off, but can't seem to figure out how.

I figured it out! Click on the Orange 'Firefox' tab on the upper left hand side of the Firefox browser, Choose 'Options', then deselect 'Yahoo! toolbar'.

  • I have loaded background/wallpaper by accident and I want to get rid of it and just go back to plain background - how do I do it please?

How do I get back to just plain old background - at the moment I've got cherry blossom or something and it's impossible to read the text / toolbars against it. Help please.
I have tried tools menu and clicked on restore default settings but nothing happens.

You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • I hate my Blackberry and I want to get rid of it

Hi, I bought a blackberry curve 8520 in October when my Nokia died on me, it was a urgent need so couldn't research the phone properly and heard that it was a good handset.  That was until it gets cold and the trackpad stops working, as I work outside I need to be able to use the phone quite often and am really fed up with it now.  Can I get rid of it on my warranty?

If you're referring to the screenlock passcode:  Settings -> General -> Passcode lock -> Off
You can also set the Auto-lock period to a long time if want to keep the screen lock code (normally recommended).
If that's not what you mean, please explain what "passcode" you're referring to.
    Regards.

  • The bookmarks menu is next to the screen when I open Mozilla Firefox and I want to get rid of it.

When I was using the computer a couple of days ago, I pushed some random keys on accident on a list of all my bookmarks showed up next to the screen. I would like to get rid of it but cannot figure out how.

You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar and do a search for <i>jzip</i> via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.<br />
You can reset all <i>jzip</i> related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.
