Downloading a preordered book on ibooks

I preordered a book on iBooks and received an email that it's available, but when I try to download it I get a message to go to purchases and download it, but when I try I keep getting stuck in this loop. I've seen the problem, but no real solution. Can anyone help?

Go to iTunes on your computer, click on your name then on Account Info. Scroll to the bottom and under Settings you will see Pre-orders at the very bottom, with a Manage Pre-orders button to the right. Click on the Manage button to cancel the pre-order.

Did you check on the device you downloaded it on? Did you actually purchase and download the book on your iPad? If so, did you check in the iBooks app? If you downloaded the book on iTunes, did you sync your iPad using iTunes and then check the iBooks app?

How can I sync non-iBookstore books in iBooks on the iPad to iTunes 11?

I have ePub books I've purchased from the Angry Robots website (not all of their books are in the iBookstore). I downloaded them on my iPad and opened them in iBooks. I am now trying to sync them to iTunes on my iMac. Before iTunes 11 they synced automatically, but now I can't figure out how to sync them either automatically or manually. Does anyone know how to copy a book out of iBooks so that I've got a 2nd copy (say I want to push a copy to my iPhone too)?

That seems to be the case now with iTunes 11, but in prior versions iTunes would automatically download all new books in iBooks, even ones not purchased in the iBookstore. That's why I developed the workflow I've been using. I'm just now running afoul of the changed behavior in the new version of iTunes.

Books in iBooks, but not syncable via itunes

I have 100s of PDFS and books currently in ibooks, however only less then half of the collection can be seen in itunes. Making it impossible to sync the books to my ipad!
Some are purchase from apple, some are not, however half of both collections are not present in itunes.
I have the lastest software for both mavericks and ibooks.

HT4059 How to recover Sample books in iBooks?

Though iBooks allows you to recover lost purchased books redownloading from, an option like this doesn't exist for downloaded samples. Case in point, I download samples of books in iBooks as a way to capture books that I intend to buy -- instead of keeping a list. I recently lost 2+ years of saved Sample books (for no apparent reason) and now can't figure out how to recover them.
Is there a way to restore or identify the files from an old back? If so, what would be the specific steps? Thanks.

Worked for me - I was able to retrieve the list of all books in iBooks, including sample chapters.

I downloaded a few books to iBooks app, but can't open them to read.
I have tried
1. Deleting the app and reload again.
2. Syn with Mac
See below image, when i tab the book that is downloaded, it just show the sample content but not the book..

You need to tap the Library button at the top left of that screen to go back to the bookshelf in the app, which si where your downloaded (and/or books synced from your computer) should show - the screen that you are on allows you to select which of your past purchases to download into the app, to read it you need to be on the bookshelf in the app. (When you are viewing the bookshelf in the app you will have Store button top left instead of Library, so that you can go back to the store.)

You should not be able to use any country's itunes store from outside of that country.

Well, to paraphrase the old line, "What're you gonna believe, that email or your own lying eyes?"
The first thing I'd recommend trying is to power down your iPad (press & hold Sleep/Wake until the red OFF slider appears, then slide it to shut down), and then boot it back up and try again. You're resetting a bunch of state signals by doing that and this simple action (the first of a series recommended by Apple in your Users Guide) will quite often clear up these sorts of problems.

There should be a Library button on the top left. If not ap the middle of the screen to get it to appear.

In the settings you can choose to not automatically update content so you can manually manage the books on the mini.

I have multiple phantom books in ibooks on my iPad.They are no longer on my mac, but continue to show up as multiple ghost- unfinished downloads on iPad

I have multiple copies of phantom books in ibooks on my ipad. By phantom I mean, that they appear to be partially downloaded. They will not resume downloading or allow deletion. Try deleting iBooks app from your iPad and then download the app again to remove any previous books that were downloaded or attempted to download. Then just download your books purchased again.
