Downloading a ring tone to my LG Cosmos phone.

Whenever I try to download a ring tone to my LG Cosmos, for some reason I cannot get it on my phone. However, Verizon will charge me for that download unless I call and tell them it is not on my phone and to give me a credit. Can anyone help me with this?

Ringtones have to be purchases on the iPhone itself, unless you created a custom ringtone in Garageband.
I've included some information below for you for both scenarios.

Choose Send Ringtone to iTunes from the Share menu.

Some apps that you download on your iPhone may possibly be to new for the iPod touch 2nd gen. I have a iPhone 5 and a iPod touch 2nd generation myself. If you plug his ipod into iTunes and restore it from a backup of your iPhone than it will download the paid apps and music that are compatible with his ipod. Hope this helps.

Ringtones are set in Settings>Sounds>Ringtone. Where do you see the "ringtone" on your phone? If it appears in your song list, but not in Settings>Sounds>Ringtone, then it isn't a ringtone but instead is a song file that need to first be converted to a ringtone with iTunes and synced to your phone. Hi, I have a frustrating problem that seems to have occurred post iOS 8 installation. When my iphone5 is switched off the ring tone fails to sound i only get the vibration. If i am using my phone and a have an incoming call then the ring tone works as normal. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb" ... i see from the menu in "do not disturb" that under the heading "silence" there are two options "always" and "only when the phone is locked" This does not seem to make sense as i have to choose one or the other!
If anybody can help advise me on this problem i would be very grateful.

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

Tones is the new name for Ringtones. Enable from Edit > Preferences > General tab and sync to your iOS device from the Tones tab when the device is connected.

Why are text tones downloaded as ring tones?

I purchased 2 what I thought were text tones for my iphone. However, they were downloaded to my ringtones. I do NOT want ringtones that say "You have a text". That's just dumb. Not sure why they would even put those in the ringtone options. Is there any way to move them on my phone? If not, I just wasted my money. (Spent an hour trying to find help on apple/itune website. Not user friendly!)

It's a ringtone that you've just purchased, and you downloaded it from iTunes on your phone and the purchase went through successfully (and there isn't a Downloads tab in the iTunes store app with it still downloading) ? It should show in Settings > Sounds > Ringtone (and Text Tone), and in the Contacts for setting for individual callers (tap the Edit button on a contact). If not then have you tried a soft-reset of your phone to see if it shows after the phone has restarted ?

Getting ring tone off 8310 to another phone?

My brother has an old Nokia 8310 that has a few ringtones i want on it. It seems that they can't be sent from the phone either over text or IR.
I have downloaded the PC suite for the phone (ver 4.82) and i still can't figure out how to get the tones off the phone, the composer only seems to send to the phone.

Ringtones are a great way to personalize your device and we are here to help make sure we get it set up immediately.
What happens if you go to the ringtone in the music player and press and hold down on the ringtone? Do you see an option to set as? If so, select that option and select to set it as a ringtone/notification. Let us know if this helps? Was the ringtone originally purchased online or over the phone?

Recently purchased NokiaC2-01 mobile, want to download ring tone from web site. I Get a text code to my mobile to input into web page, but then do not get text with download instructions. Seems like you are downloading from a third party website. Try downloading from Nokia Store. To ensure compatibility of the games/apps for your phone, don't forget to indicate your phone model on the top most portion of the screen.

Downloaded ring tone too low

I just got the phone, about 2 hours ago, its great. The only issue I'm having is that my downloaded ring tone is too soft. It Frankenstien by Edgar Winter so it should play loud enough. The ring tones that were on the phone are loud enough. How do I raise the volume on a downloaded one?

In itunes, go to the ringtones tab and select all downloaded ringtones. right click and click get info and under options, you can increase the volume slider all the way up if you wish to. then click ok. after that you have to resync your iphone with itunes to get the "louder" ringtones.

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store. You should be able to copy them from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (they should copy over to the Tones part of your library) and you can then sync them to your iPhone.
