Downloading a trial of Acrobat XI

I have begun to download a trial of Adobe's Acrobat XI Pro; however, I can't sign into the Adobe Download Assistant.  Each time I try to sign in, I receive an Error 100 message.  I have checked my internet connection.  How can I log into the Download Assistant?

Hi Annie S Odom,
Please refer the solution in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html
If you continue to face difficulties you can try initiating a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369

Trying to download the Trial of Acrobat DC but when I get to the page that says "when your download is complete, you will be able to start using Acrobat" nothing happens. The download never starts.

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  Adobe Acrobat DC Pro/Standard and Reader: Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • Error 1061 when downloading free trial of Acrobat XI Pro

I am attempting to download a free trial of Acrobat XI Pro on a PC running Windows 8.  While downloading, I receive an error message of "Windows Search Error 1061:  The service cannot accept control messages at this time."  I have tried stopping the Windows Search service through the admin services in my Control Panel but receive a similar message (or one indicating that other services dependant upon Windows Search are running).  Can I "ignore" this error and continue to succesfully download the trial version?  Or, is there a way to stop this service until the download is completed?  I am not an IT professional, so any advice is appreciated.

Don't know, but I would suggest to just try ignoring it and seeing if you get a successful download. Of course, when you install you need to be logged in as the administrator and disable anti-virus. An online search for the error suggests the problem is a WIndows configuration issue. The one site I found had a fix tool, but I do not generally recommend downloading such fix files. Another site suggests a corrupt registry.
You might try the CCleaner tool to see if that can help with the registry. However, I would just continue with the download if you can and see if it works.

I hit the download button, and select run.  The status bar moves and completes, then goes away.  product download never starts.  The downlopad assistant is on my desktop because i hit save once thinking that was the problem, but to no avail.  I have done it signed in, not signed in.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
Why doesn't an error message come up if its' not working?  Very frustrating!

  • I am having difficulties download the trial

I am officaly pissed off. I have high speed internet and my computer prosesser is the fastest you can have. I am trying to download CS6 design and web premium for school and three days later it was half way down and still is saying at lest 40+ hours to download. WTF!!!!! I have downloaded other adobe programs and never had a problem and maybe took 4 hours at the most but this is rediculious. Fix it or send me a freaking cd version cause I need this for a class and cant do my homework without it.

I am having the same problem!! I am currently trying to download a trial for Acrobat on a high speed internet connection and it says it's going to take 31 hours!!!! What!!! Then it said 122 hours!!!
I tried uninstalling the download assistant and re-installing it, but it doesn't redo the download, just continues it. Now it says 25 hours. This is beyond frustrating. I also tried to find a "direct download" link like this discussion said but I can't find one for Acrobat specifically.
This isn't a very large program I don't know what the problem is. I think this same thing happened with InDesign as well. Thumbs down...
