Downloading book to Nook

I downloaded a book from the public library to Adobe Digital Edition. The digital edition downloaded to my computer fine. After trying to download it to my Nook it shows up in my Nook library but when I try to open I get an error message stating "Unable to open this book". Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same issue. I have been through the process of
uninstalling ADE including removing the authorization for the program.
I reinstalled ADE and authorized it using the same email I use for the Nook.
I was able to download a book from the library.
I plugged in the Nook and authorized it.
I moved the book (drag and drop) to the Nook. Removed the Nook using Eject.
When I tried to open the book on the Nook I got the message "Sorry, unable to open this book."
I used the strategy recommended of deleting the authorization for the Nook using Windows Explorer.
Hooked the Nook up again and went through the authorization process.
Moved the book to the Nook (carefully used the Eject to remove the Nook from the computer) --Book is there but again "Sorry, unable to open this book."
I understand that I am limited to 6 authorizations so I am reluctant to keep doing the same thing.
Any other ideas?

I have gone through the confusing process of downloading ADE and going through the library etc.. I downloaded my first book and transferred it to my Nookcolor. I hit the book to start reading it and a message pops up asking me to enter my full name and information from my credit card from which i purchased this book from. Well first off I borrowed it from my library and when I put in my credit card info I use for BN.com to buy books it wont accept it. Then i tried to put in my library card number and it still wont work. Im stumped. It wont let me read my borrowed book till I fill out this info. Any suggestions help. Thanks!

Yes, actually there is a free Nook app. It does not offer in app book purchases, but syncs to the Barnes and Noble account (book are actually purchased from the web site and then downloaded in the app).

To remove your ID and replace with hers will depend on the extent of functionality you want to do this for:
Open the Settings App and change the ID in the following areas as they apply:
iTunes and App Store
iCloud
Messages
FaceTime

This is pretty surprising and wierd that even Reader 10.1.1 is crashing on your system. It works pefectly for me.
Would it be possible for you to get the crash dump, and upload it, so that I can have a look at the same.
Download PROCDUMP from <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx> and extract it to a folder, say, c:\temp\procdump.exe
Open cmd prompt and type "cd c:\temp".
Launch the browser and open the PDF.
Open task manager, sort processed by name. Two AcroRd32.exe instances should have been launched. Note the PID (a small integer like 5588) corresponding to the AcroRd32.exe with the higher memory usage; this is the process that must be crashing. Note this PID.
On the cmd window, type "procdump -e -ma 5588 c:\temp\01.dmp" (replace 5588 with the actual PID of the process noted in Step 4). Procdump will now wait for the aoolication to crash. If it throws a EULA, accept it.
Perform your steps to cause the crash.
Procdump will have created a dump file at "c:\temp\01.dmp". Zip it up (since it will be 100s of MBs otherwise) and share with me.

My books From Nook to IBook

I own the new Ipad. I currently have on it to reading Apps, IBook which I just downloaded and like and the Nook App from Barnes and Nobel.
I like the IBook much better that the Nook App.
Does anyone know if I can get my purchased downloaded books out of the Nook App and import them into the IBook App?
I don’t know if this is possible but figure I'd ask the forum.

I doubt it's possible. It's my understanding that Nook books are under digital rights management to keep them within the Nook app, but I'll happily stand corrected. A better place for an answer might be the Nook site, or call Barnes and Noble and they can tell you if you can take their files outside of their app.

The operating system takes up about 2GB, so that's why your 16 GB iPad has 14 GB capacity. And if you only have 687mbs left, it means you don't have much space left to add to your iPad. Do you have lot's of videos/Books/Music/Apps/Pictures on your iPad. If you do and you want to add more, you're going to have to delete things before you can add more.

My iBook app won't let me download books, it says that they are already downloaded but to also go to purchases, could someone help please?

I have recently purchased (from the States) an ipod nano 6th generation. I belong to a local library and can download books from the audiobooks online section. Problem is, my iPod when synced to iTunes, does not show Library as a category and audiobooks. For some reason, it is allowing me to download the books to my iPod, but I am unable to delete them from the iPod, and also, it is giving an echo (I think somehow it is downloading twice which is giving an echo effect). Not sure what is going on, but if anyone can advise me on this I would be very grateful.

If you have an issue with the audiobook showing up in music, check to see if those tracks are labeled as audio books or music. The article below will explained as well as I have highlighted the main portion for changing that information.

Identify an item that you imported from a CD as an audiobook, so it appears under Audiobooks instead of Music (click the Options button and choose Audiobook from the Media Kind pop-up menu). If you do this, iTunes also remembers your place in the audiobook

i've made a catalogue of mistakes. I've had an Overdrive app for ages to access library books which was great but this is what happened-
1. Suddenly a message kept coming up each time I logged in saying Adobe acct ........... is saved in your overdrive acct do you want to deauthorise or authorise. I kept clicking on authorise but thought it might be better to deauthorise and authorise it properly in settings. I tried this but my Adobe ID didn't work- nothing came up to say it was wrong but I kept getting thrown back to the authorisation screen and could not get any further or download books. I did check my password was okay by signing into my Adobe account and it was the only one I had which I had used when I upgraded to I.o.s.7 and it was fine.
I tried logging in and out, resetting my overdrive acct and eventually deleted the overdrive app and then reinstating it but nothing worked.
2. I decided if I got a new Adobe acct using my google email address then authorising the Adobe reader through this might work. However. It all seemed to go well I created the account then put all the details into my overdrive acct. thought this was going well but I got a message as I tried to download a book 'fulfil code 2004' , saying another ID could not be used. I'm now stuck it won't allow me to try my original ID.
Can anyone help help me out of this mess and can I delete an Adobe ID once created please?

My nano is 16 GB and my operating system is Windows 7.

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.
