Downloading Captivate 5.5

Is it still possible to download Captivate 5.5 from the web site? Our licence only covers 5.5, and while we decide whether to upgrade to Captivate 6, we may need to re-install it. We never had the disks as the package was downloaded from the web site in the first instance.

I have a yearly subscription and recently had to reformat my computer. I've been searching the site for over 30 minutes now and I can't find any link anywhere to download captivate 8. Please help.

When downloading Captivate 8 (64-bit), I am being told the file archive part is missing and I need all parts in the same folder. I have not idea what the file archive part is or where to find it.

The download file consists of 2 parts - one with .7z extension and the other a .exe file.
You need to click on the .exe file to begin the installation.

Issues downloading Captivate 7

All the links that I have been provided are not working and I am unable to download Captivate 7. Please provide me a link to where I can download this program as I have a code that was provided by my school and need to download this program.

Download Captivate 8 trial

I am trying to download Captivate to show to a client who wants to use it.
I went to http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate
and chose Mac English.
I got a very small DMG image.
I opened the dmg.
I double clicked the pkg to install. I got an install dialog box.
I agreed to the agreement.
I got a standard install screen.
I was suspicious as 31mb seemed awfully small for a big application. But I clicked Install.
A few seconds later I was told the install was successful.
I looked for Adobe Captivate in my Applications folder. It was not there.
I tried a different browser. I got a fatal error.
I tried the direct download link. Nothing happened. And I've been waiting a long time.
I tried a different browser. Same steps. Same problems.

Question on Downloading Captivate

I have commenced the Download Captivate 7 process. The Akamai Installer was downloaded first, that worked OK, but now it produces a browser window that says, at the top, Adobe Captivate 7.0 English Windows download complete. Underneath that sentence, is an Install Now button. Other than that the browser window is black.
If I click the Install Now button, nothing seems to happen. But if I try to close the window, I get a warning saying that 'closing this window will interrupt the download'. So, this window has now been on my desktop for more than an hour. There is no way of telling whether anything is actually being downloaded or installed. I can't find Adobe Captivate on my PC so I presume it hasn't actually installed yet. So - do I keep waiting, indefinitely? Start again? It seems like a poorly designed user interface as there is no way to tell what is happening.

I need to download Captivate 7 so I can re-install it because I lost all the files in a computer crash

My computer crashed and I had to reinstall windows. In the process I lost everything including the install files for Captivate 7. I would like to download them again but I cannot find them, only Captivate 8.

Trouble downloading captivate 6 trial for mac.

im trying to download the trial version of captivate on my mac, the akamai netsession interface is now on my desktop, i go through installation, it makes that happy sound and says the installation was successful, but nothing actually happens, no new folders or documents, or applications, seems like sort of a dead end.
To investigate i clickedon Akamai in "other" of my system preferences is tells me the status is "forbidden" but I am the administrator and i have never used this free trial before, so why am I "forbidden?"

Thank you for contacting Adobe Support.
Please use the below mentioned steps to download and install Captivate 6 for MAC :
First click on the URL below http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?loc=en_us&product=captivate
Then login with you Adobe ID and Password (if needed).
Then Copy and Paste the mentioned below URLs one by one in the same window as shown below:
            http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/6/osx10/Captivate_6_LS12.dmg
Then Press Enter Key from the keyboard and save the above mentioned file one by one in any folder created on to the desktop.
Then click on the DMG file to extract and install Captivate 6.
Once the folder gets extracted and install Adobe Captivate 6

Problem downloading Captivate trial problem with online trial of ELS

The Captivate download application cancels the download. Online ELS takes 5 - 10 minutes to load and connect then does not recognize my Adobe password.

Jeffrey could you please let me know what OS are you using and any errors you get while downloading the software.
Make sure you have high speed internet connection as the file size is quite large, For Windows it's 5Gb and for MAC it's 4GB.
Please follow the instructions below carefully to download eLS6.1 directly without using the download manager :
1. Navigate to the eLS6.1 Downloads page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=elearning_suite
2. Sign in with your Adobe ID.
3. Copy and paste the following links on the address bar as per the OS you own one at a time and hit enter :
eLS 6.1 Windows English

Unable to download Captivate 8. Why won't ADOBE refund my money after I requested a refund because the download was never made available?

I purchased Captivate 8 and never received the download on my account page. ADOBE took the money out of my account immediately after making the purchase, but then NEVER completed our contract. I tried to contact them through the "chat option, but halfway through the chat Adobe's technician vanished and the chat featured was closed. Once I requested my $322.00 to be refunded I received a call at work from a member of the Adobe team. He told me he would look into why I never received the permission necessary to download the purchased product. My goal was to buy Captivate 8, NOT give Adobe $322. for nothing!
As I checked the "My Orders page today, still NO download access and checked my bank account and still NO REFUND.

The download is huge, 1.6GB, so it will take a while to download and if it fails, clear your browser’s cache and try again, or try a different browser.
There is nothing on the page that will prevent you from downloading it multiple times. If you are getting an error it is likely your internet connection or some internet security software or something else blocking. Did you watch the download and did it completely successfully or did it just stop?
On the page with the Try link there is a link for when you’re having problems downloading, which it seems like you are:

There are phone numbers for Adobe but usually it is an exercise in frustration talking to someone in India who has a script they will lead you through, not unlike what it says on the help page, just slower.
If you want to attach a screenshot you need to use the web version of the forums and copy/paste into the message, or use the camera icon at the top left.

I'm trying to download Captivate 8 using Creative Cloud. I have a partial download of Captivate dmg (part) that won't open or install.

Akamai Netsession hung up at Destination Select, so I downloaded what I thought was Captivate 8 directly, as the download page said to do. I got a creative cloud download page that appeared to be downloading something all night. It still displayed the spinning circle of download this morning so I closed the download page. Now I'm not entirely sure where I am in the process and would appreciate some help.
