Downloading Contacts From Outlook
I have tried to download my contacts from Outlook to my iPod. However I only get about about one fifth of them and no more. There is plenty of memory on my my iPod so thats not it. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hello. Sorry to see your having this issue. I will do my best to post some troubleshooting. But I do advise at some point you call iPhone Support for further assistance on this issue.
If this is your 4th replacement we need to go ahead and find out what else could be causing this issue. It seems that you always have your Bluetooth with each iPhone Replacement.
Has anyone tested this Bluetooth with another iPhone? To see if it does the same thing on a Store iPhone.
Have you tested another Apple Bluetooth Headset with your iPhone or replacement iPhone? Just incase the one you have may be causing the issue.
If you do get the iPhone replaced. Are you ensuring the iPhone Firmware is up to date before you use the Bluetooth?
Have you tried restoring your iPhone on another user account? another USB Port? or another PC/Mac?
If you do call iPhone Support at 1-800-My-iPhone feel free to answer these questions with them so they have an idea of what you have done. Otherwise post your responses here and we can attempt to assist further.

BB 8830 Error code 0x80040fb3 when downloading contacts from outlook to BB
I tried many times to replace all my bb contacts with outlook contacts and keep getting this error message. The blackberry support suggest to run a software update on the blackberry to version 4.6.0.244 but when running the "ckeck for updates" the version 4.5.0.175 is the latest. All my contacts have been deleted from my blackberry but none have been added because of the error. How do I solve this problem? Thank you.
Hello again,
Sorry for the delay...there was an event this week that consumed pretty much all free time for many who regularly volunteer on these forums.
I'm not sure I'm following you...when I navigate into the VZW download site (via the 2nd link I provided above), I find they are on 4.5.0.186, so I'm unsure where you are seeing that 4.5.0.175 is the latest from VZW nor am I sure how you are winding up back at the BB site...I can easily get, from the VZW site, a download of their latest OS package for your model device.
Nevertheless, if what you are otherwise seeing is telling you that you need to upgrade to 4.6.0.244, then using VZW is moot anyway since they are not supporting a version that high. Consequently, your choice is to move to another carriers OS package that is at the level you require for the fix you say you need. In which case you will need to research all carriers that provide your model BB and see who sells it -- and then use that 2nd link above to find the package you need from whatever carrier has it. Then, still use the instructions provided in the 3rd link, but insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion of a file named VENDOR.XML -- it should be at or close to the folders mentioned in step 2.
Good luck and let us know!

How do I download contacts from outlook on another laptop to my new mac
I have a new macbook pro and would like to download my contacts from my old laptop to my new macbook address book. Help!!!
I assume you mean you can not figure out how to transfer the stuff off the iPod into the Mac library? Because the Mac and Mac iTunes can certain mount, read, and sync a windows formatted iPod.
For stuff purchased from iTunes, you need to authorize the new computer with your account and then you can transfer the iTunes music store stuff directly off the iPod into iTunes. For everything else...

Exporting selected contacts from Outlook 2011 for Mac
I've wanted to easily export a set of selected contacts from Outlook in Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. I've been through many threads about synching to Address Book and then exporting, but I've found a host of troubles, including duplicate copies of contacts being created.
So, I finally broke down and wrote an AppleScript script to export all of the currently selected contacts from Outlook to a file in either vcf (vcard) or csv (comma separated value) format. The best use of this script is to:
-- Install this as a script in Microsoft Outlook by saving the script below to Documents>Microsoft User Data>Outlook Script Menu Items
-- Change to your Contacts in Outlook. Use the Outlook search bar to find the contacts you want to export. You might search by name, category, company, or anything else that identifies the contacts you want to export. Or, you might just leave the view showing all contacts.
-- Select the contacts you want to export
-- Launch the script
The script will have you select between vcard and csv and select a destination file. This hasn't been optimized for speed, so if you're exporting 100's or 1,000's of contacts, be patient. And there isn't a progress bar at present, so you have to wait. It will display an alert when it's complete.
Sorry not to have a download location for you. You'll just have to copy the script text :-). Keep in mind there's been some but limited testing. Read the comments for details. And enjoy.

-- build_csv_line(): format one line for the csv file

-- Unfortunately I've not figured out how to use perl-style generation of

-- by simply using the field name to refer to a Contact properly.
-- Note that email address are a special case as they're a list of objects in
-- Outlook. So these are handled specially in the export function and can only
-- be selected by the column names "home email", "work email", and "other email".
-- Outlook allows a contact to have more than one of each type of email address
-- but not all contact managers are the same. This script takes the first of
-- each type. So if a contact has more than one "home" email address, you will
-- only be able to export the first to a csv file. Suggest you clean up your
-- addresses in Outlook to adapt. The alternative is to support multiple
-- columns in the csv like "other email 1" and "other email 2", but that's not
-- supported in this version.
-- Another note. In this version, any embedded "return" or "linefeed" characters
-- found in a property of a contact are converted to a space. That means that
-- notes, in particular, will be reformated. That said, this gets arond a problem
-- with embedded carriage returns in address fields that throw off importing
-- the csv file.
-- Also note that at this time IM addresses aren't supported, but it's an easy add
-- following the same logic as email addresses.

Well sort of Outlook Express. Outlook Express uses the windows built in Windows Address Book (found in Accessories). And you can sync with the Windows Address Book (as I do). -
