Downloading Content (Error Code 8008)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this same thing...
On two occasions now with my Apple TV (1 HD Movie rental and 1 TV Show purchase), the file completes exactly 32% of the download and then stops with error code (8008). If I do "Check for Downloads" it resumes the download for approximately 3%, then stops and reverts back to 32% complete.
Now, you may be wondering, what about "check for purchases" with ITunes on your iMac? Yep, did that... with the SAME result! Even after I quit iTunes, delete the cache, and then try to "check for purchases" again.
If that wasn't confusing enough, I emailed apple itunes help about the movie rental (~ 2 months ago). They couldn't solve the problem with a couple email responses so they refunded my purchase... 2 weeks later, all of a sudden the download resumed and completed! I'm so confused!
Since it has happened twice now (with the same result on my iMac and Apple TV), and the standard troubleshooting does not solve the problem, this leads me to believe that it is a server-side error, and not on my end. Can anyone confirm this?

    That error translates to ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT. See PatchDownloader.log and try to download the patch manually (for testing purposes).

    So I'm try again and say not enough storage it realy spend too much time for 3hours at 40%

  • Will not allow me to download update; error code: 3

    At my work I have attempted to install the update to Creative Cloud but it will not allow me to. After it attempts to install, it will bring up the message: "Administrator privileges are required to continue with installation. (Error code: 3)" Obviously I need administrator approval to install, but the problem is at no point in the install process does it bring a prompt to enter admin credentials so it won't allow the install. Anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks

    Hi! Trying to download CC, halfway through, keep getting Error code 1.
    I do have previous versions of Adobe installed on my laptop, as I previously had CC but with another account name.

    Could you please follow these steps and let us know if it helps you.
    Please download and run Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    Run Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and choose option 3 and then option 1 to complete the cleaning process.
    Once done please rename OOBE Folder from these locations
    Windows :
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    C:\Users\(UserName)\AppData\Local\Adobe
    Go to creative.adobe.com -> Download Center -> Download Creative Cloud

    I have restarted and deleted and re downloaded CC and still having the same error

  • Unable to download purchases: error code -3260

    I bought several albums this morning and most tracks downloaded fine. However, some won't. I keep getting an error code -3260, seeming to suggest the connection has been lost.
    I am online and can connect to the iTunes store just fine, browse and purchase, just not download certain tracks.
    I have restarted iTunes, restarted iMac, and even sworn a bit. None of these have done the trick!
    I am running the latest iTunes version and have tried temporarily turning off my Norton firewall. That made no difference. I am an administrator and can email, browse web, etc. perfectly.
    I'm a little confused as some of the songs downloaded from an album with no problem, but others won't download at all.
    Does anyone have any ideas or do I just leave it and try again later / tomorrow / sometime?

  • Cannot get iTunes to download correctly: Error Code 2324

    Everytime I try to install the newest version of iTunes, I end up having to go in and do a download only because I keep getting an error. Once I get to the end of this step, it gives me the following error, "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324." It then reverses the progress it has made and tells me to start over. I have already downloaded ALL of the Windows Updates. I have Windows 7. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

    You may have to find the download folder for the browser you are using and launch the installer from there. Another option you may want to try is using another browser to download and install iTunes.   • Windows unable to check/download updates - error code: 80070005

    Hi,
    my laptop top (Satellite Pro) hasn't downloaded or installed any updates since january and it hasn't been running very well lately.
    When I click "try again" on the window update page, I just get the same error again and again.
    Windows help website said it would be a problem with my computer as it came with Vista home basic already installed on it.
    Any help would be greatly appreicated!

    Its not the same error code as you have but to solve the problem you should disable the antivirus program and maybe also the firewall.

    On Taking SNP Heuristics, Our ECC system is getting choked. Proper stock transfer requisitions are getting generated in APO. Though. these purchase requisitions are  getting displayed in ECC but the same number is NOT getting updated in APO. On doing CCR, we are getting Error u201CDifference In Contentu201D with error code 191.  Even after repeated iterations by choosing the flow of data towards u201CAPOu201D, purchase requisition numbers are NOT getting updated.
    Kindly Advise Further.

    Thanks for the reply and we feel sorry for Not Updating the forum. The problem is very critical and system's behaviour is quite eratic. I shall like to elaborate the complete scenario.
    On 4th October, we did the CCR iterations repeatedly and then Pur.Req. Number got  updated in APO. On our next SNP run (Taken on 11-OCT-2011), we did not face any such issue and all the working was normal as usual. But on the next SNP run (taken on 20-OCT-2011), same problem came again and this time, to get the end result, it took us nearly 3 days for repeated CCR iterations but we could get the end results
    Then, we took another SNP run on 02-NOV-2011 and again we are facing the same problem. Till date, we could not get the end results.
    We shall also like to confirm that we have checked all the IM for Purchase Orders And Purchase Requisitions. But could not find any duplicate IM (We have the very systematic nomenclateure for our IM's). We have checked almost all the IM's details as well.
    Around two years back, we faced some CIFFING issue, at that time, we found the problem of Multiple IM.
    This be for your kind information and further advise in this regard please.

    SAngye.IJ are you currently logged in under a restricted account?  If not and you are logged in under an administrator account then it is likely the file permissions under your current User account have become compromised.
