Downloading CS5 on a Macbook Pro...error
Hi All,
In attempting to download the CS5 Master Suite (11GB I'm told) my laptop gets just over halfway through (6.03 GB both times) and then stops.
Any ideas?
PS: I've turned off the "Sleep" settings (it's on NEVER) and I have only the Notebook Hard Drive powered on with 340 GB of space available.
Has anyone had a successful download and install?

Thanks for the great ideas.
Comcast had me turn off:
Firewall Options
Disable Firewall for True Static IP Subnet Only
Disable Gateway Smart Packet Detection
After that, the download was almost twice as fast and the install went smooth.

Install Flash from CS5 on new Macbook Pro errors
Hi,
I just tried to install my CS5 Master Collection on my new MacBook Pro. All the programs installed properly except Flash Pro. I understand why I have errors for Flash Player but the rest, I'm not sure how to move forward to get this installed. I tried opening Flash Pro anyway but it tells me to reinstall. I have tried 2 times now.
Any thoughts? I know I'm missing something or am I screwed since I'm using a Mac, which hates flash and CS6 is out on top of that factor?

Cant download/purchase from itunes. macbook pro error message -45054
Am currently trying to download a tv program from itunes. When I try to purchase the item, I enter my username/password etc and it looks to begin downloading, i then get a pop up saying 'We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occured (-45054).

I have installed CS5 on a macbook pro 10.9.4. I am unable to get the updater to run to update applications to most current version. It tells me there was an error trying to download the update and to try again later.
Getting used to changes in the finder. I finally did see the Adobe Patch installer and am able to update applications individually. Should be able to attend to the main apps I use w/o further difficulty. Thnx for the help.

I have been trying to download java for my macbook pro, but for some reason the function is not recognizing the internet. I am on and have checked several times .... I have checked through both safari and firefox but to no avail. Thanks for any help anyone can give.Not really a reply just some added info:
This is the error message I get saying the internet is not on, but clearly as I can send this message it has to be:
To open “Java Preferences,” you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.
I am connected through Wi-fi if that makes a difference. -
I installed indesign CS5 on new macbook pro and keeps freezing with spinning wheel once the app opens. Is there an issue with OS Mav or font issue or a plist I can pull. All other Adobe products work.
Migration should never be done with any Adobe program.
If you have done Migration, you have to UNINSTALL first (if even possible) and then download Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and run that also. When this is done, restart your computer and install the programs from an original Adobe Installer.
Other question is, if your OS is supporting that version. You can try it, it is not officially supported, but it might work.
But CC will work, upgrade to CC2014 (without additional cost), use that as it is better anyway. -

And by the way, this is apparently a common problem and Apple has completely failed to warn in advance or offer a quick straightforward solution - used to be a good company, but it's becoming just another crappy screw-the-consumer corporation.
It would help to know versions here. I'm guessing your update put an older version of something into a place where a newer version of something iTunes put in there existed. Updating an earlier OSX version to 10.6.8 is still only updating to system software that was issued several years ago. If you are running some slightly newer version of iTunes issued subsequent to 10.6.8 and you just updated to 10.6.8 you may have put in an older version of something iTunes uses. Anyway, I'm guessing here until we know exactly what you did.

After downloading Maverick on the MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011, I am unable to open iPhoto. The message says "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. You have "iPhoto" 9.2.3" What??? That is ridiculous. Why doesn't Maverick download everything? I've tried the "fixes" I found on this forum, but none of them work for me, because there is no workaround via the library. I can't access the library.
I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

Went through this step-by-step, but alas it did not solve the problem. For some reason I can download mail on my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but no my iMac. Connection Doctor shows all green lights. This started today when I was prompted to re-enter incoming mail server passwords. I re-entered passowrds yet again to make sure they were correct. Rebuilt the inBox. Connection Doctor continues to show all green lights, but am still unable to download mail to the inbox. Has anyone else ever run into this problem?
I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

I currently have CS5 on my Macbook Pro, but I just bought a new iMac yesterday which I want as my main design platform. I currently cannot find my CS5 disc or upgrade information, I can only find my original CS3 Design Premium Disc. I still have the activation codes/serial number for both CS3 and CS5, so I'm very much hoping there is a solution to get CS5 onto the iMac?!?!
