Downloading entire Dashboard page

Hello Guys,
I have a dashboard page with about 6 reports and I need to download the entire dashboard page. I know to report links for individual reports but I want to know if there is a way to download the entire dashboard page at once (into one excel sheet)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what you're envisioning when you say you want to download an entire dashboard page into Excel, but consider that a dashboard has many elements outside of just the "6 reports" you mentioned. Also, are the reports just tables or are there charts and conditional formatting (e.g., green, red, yellow balls, etc.)? Any of these features would make the download look ugly regardless of how you do it, but if you insist, here are a couple of options:
Option 1
1) Click on the dashboard print icon and select HTML.
2) Save the file in .mht format.
3) Open up Excel and navigate to the file.
4) Select the file.
Option 2
1) Click anywhere in the dashboard and click CNTRL-A and then CNTRL-C
2) Open Excel and paste.
These are two ways you can have the whole dashboard in Excel.

  • Download entire dashbord page at once.

    Hi Experts,
I have several small reports on dashborad page...
Is it possible to download all the reports from dashboard page at once?
    Thanks,
    Mani.

    Hi Mani,
I think right now we don't have any option like that. for that you have to decode the java where the download option file is there and try to over write that option with entire dashboard, but this is not possible, i think so........

  • Ability to download whole dashboard page into Excel/Powerpoint File

    Folks,
i think this may be unique requirement or may be someone tried it,
from the Out of Box functionality, we only have ability to download the each report on a page to a MS Excel or power point
but i am looking on how to implement the functionality of downloading all the reports in the page/or the whole page itself into excel or powerpoint using click of button as we do have download into pdf/html versions.
i tried to hijack the existing pdf/html code, but did not work
any ideas/suggestions if this can be implemented or code that i can use
    Thank You
    Kumar

    Hi friend,
you must use BI Office for that. To install it, log on Presentation Service with your user, click 'More Products' -> BI Office. Install it, and the, open excel or powerpoint. You will have a new menu where you can download reports as you are in Presentation Service.
    Regards.

    Hi,
By implementing briefing book method you can achive it.
    steps
    1) Create briefing book and add your two reports into that briefing book
    2) save it your briefing book and then add it your dashboard page

  • Can you print entire dashboard into excel

I'm trying to see in i can print/send my entire dashboard to excel, if so how do i set it up to have the download link at the bottom?

I want to say no you can't. I'm trying to imagine what you are trying to do which is to have one button that will nicely download multiple reports from a dashboard page into Excel, only downloading the reports, and nothing else. Well, that can't be done out-of-the-box and you definitely can't change the "download" link to do this.
Now, having said that, I'll give you several ways you can do this. None are pretty though.
    1) Click anywhere in your dashboard and press CNTRL-A, then CNTRL-C. This will highlight the whole dashboard and copy it to the clipboard. You can then paste it in Excel.
    2) Click on the Print>HTML. When the page renders, save it as MHTML. Then open the file in Excel. Save it as an Excel file.
    3) Third Way
    a) Open the dashboard to the page you wish to "copy."
    b) Highlight the address you see in the address bar and copy it to the clipboard.
    c) Now open up Excel and click on the "Get External Data from Web" button. (I am using Excel 2007 for this example and you can find this command by searching through the commands.)
    d) Paste the URL in the window that appears. Scroll to the end and add &Format=Excel.
    e) Click the "Go" button. The OBI login window will appear.
    f) Log in to OBI in the usual manner.
    g) The dashboard page will appear in the window along with many yellow arrows, each referring to an element on the page. Select the yellow arrow corresponding to the dashboard page itself.
    h) Click the "Import" button. The dashboard page will import into Excel.

  • OBIEE 11g: Export to entire dashboard issue

    HI,
My dashboard contains four pages and each page contains one report.
if I export to entire dashboard then am getting first 25 rows from each report only.
How to get all rows from each report.
Note: Each report contains around 2000 rows. That's why I didn't put display all rows by default.
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

    Hi,
Edit the each dashboard and check Print properties.
    1. Edit the Dashboard
    2. In Tools select 'Print Options' i.e down to 'Dashboard Properties' option
    3. select Print Rows 'All' instead of 'Visible'
    4. Now save and export the dashboard.
Now you will be able to export all the data from the dashboard report.
    Hope it helps,
    Bose

  • Link to OBIEE 11g Dashboard Page from a 10g Dashboard Page

    Hi all,
Is it possible to place a Link object on a dashboard page (within OBIEE 10g) and have that navigate to an OBIEE 11g dashboard page?
If so, how is that implemented?
Our 11g and 10g environments are on different servers.
For business reasons (and budgets) we are not migrating our entire 10g environment to 11g just yet.
    Thanks.

You can use Go URL as long as they are on same network domain [Go URL|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/bi.1111/e16364/apiwebintegrate.htm#i1005050]

  • Updating Dashboard pages separately in OBIEE 11g

    Hi guys,
I have a requirement to show multiple reports in one dashboard as tabs\pages like page1-for R1, page-2 for R2 (R!&R2 are reports) and these pages were created using different prompts for each report. but, the DB tables are the same.
    My problem is:
if i run the report in dashboard on page-1, the prompts and tables are getting updated with the values on page-1 into page-2 also.
i tried by disabling the cache in nqsconfig, purging the cache in admintool, and setting a prefix to disable cache at report level, still no luck.
let me if anyone can help me.
    thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
Select Page Options > Edit Dashboard to open the dashboard page in the Dashboard builder, then
Click the Prompt properties icon and select Scope > Page. Scope determines whether the prompt applies to the entire dashboard or just this page.
    hope helps u..........
Don't forget to assign points and close the thread if your question is answered.........

  • Dashboard Pages menu in OBIEE

My requirement is want to show Dashboard Pages menu see below link..

    anybody please help me.. Urgent..
    Raj

    Hi,
    http://www.scribd.com/doc/25775853/Page-Drop-Down
Please download js script above link.
You have a few options to embed the code:
    1) You can embed it manually into each page of a dashboard that you want the dropdown. This fast if there is only a small number of pages. But it can be tedious if there are a lot of pages.
    2) You can edit the dashboardtemplates.xml file and find a place to inject the script. This would be optimal since it would globally affect the dashboards. Place the custom edited file in the customMesages folder.
    3) When using the code, be aware that I setup a threshold variable. On line 5, I set "var threshold = 0;". This is the threshold at which the dropdown will appear. If you only want the drop-down to appear when you have 5 or more pages, then set this value to 5 and that will be accomplished.
Note:- There is no dashboardtemplates.xml file in customMessages. That is what you need to create.
    1. Copy the file from C:\OracleBI\web\msgdb\messages and put it in the customMessage folder
    2. Go to line 410
    3. Right before the final "</HTML>" paste in the code from this link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/26230268/pageDropDown-1-3
    4. Save.
    5. Bounce all three services.
    6. Test
    Hope it helps.

  • Export entire Dashboard in excel is giving error generating document when table view have subtotals

    Hi all,
We have dashboard with multiple tabs and are trying to Export entire Dashboard into excel.
Excel file is generated with all dashboard tabs as sheets but few of those sheets are empty with Error generating document message in first cell.
After further analysis we concluded that cause is table view with subtotals enabled. Pivot tables with subtotals are generated properly.
Obvious workaround solution to recreate table views into pivots is not possible due high number of reports.
We are running Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 11.1.1.7.150120 (Build 150113.1200 64-bit)
Any ideas or solutions about this problem would be much appreciated.
    Thank you;
    Klaudio

    We just found culprit
Rows per page of table view must be max 999999999 which is more than enough for our needs.
